RE: ThunderClan Roleplay~

Ebbs nodded softly but a grim experssion touched her face. Yes her ancestors had blessed her but this was not her clan. This was not truely her den. She was a guest here until Willowkit's training was over. No... this wasnt her den. This was Eaglesight's den. Pain flooded her chest as she remembered her dear friend. This was where he had been trained. This was his den, where he was supposed to be... but he was gone. Memories flashed back in to her mind about the night he disappeared. Goldheart and Duskheart were racing desperatly on her heels as she brought of the front of their V shaped formation. With a shake of her head she pushed the thoughts away.

Hymmwhisper dipped her head. "I'm sorry," she said, blushing. She gave her chest a few good licks. "You're very welcome in ThunderClan."
She looked at the beautiful black she cat, and felt warm. ThunderClan had a medicine cat now!!! She smiled, and said, "Ebbs, why don't you um...." she broke off. "I kinda don't know what medicine cats do." SHe smiled, and looked at Willowkit. "You're lucky to have a mentor," she whispered to her.

Lily took a seat in what she saw to be a paitent's bed. She didn't miss the troubled emotions comming off Ebbs in waves, so she assumed she'd just invite herself to sit down? She didn't want to be rude, but it was clear Ebbs was in termoil. "You are troubled," she said at last, "Please, tell me what is wrong?" She lay her thin tail on her paws, tilting her head a little to the side inquizziclly(sp?).

Ebbs gave the ginger and white she cat a shake of the head. "No that is fine. I am not one that is very in to sharing details of unimportant matters." She covered her emotions beautifully so that no ounce of troubled feelings were left. "Rather, we came here so that you could get healed. Would you mind telling me more about this Black Death? I have never heard of it before." With that Ebbs tried to push away all thought of her beloved blind friend. Perhaps she would visit Duskstar that night and talk to her more about that day he disappeared. Thigns were just to unsettled. They both needed some closure, at least for Duskstar's sake.

"Yes," she mewed quietly, readying herself for the tale she'd traveled so far to tell. "When you left, I was still a to-be. The Tribe of Rushing Water was flourishing and growing. There were two new liters of kits to be born, and much more young, healthy hunters and guardians." She shook her head softly, "I became the Stoneteller when he passed, and the Sky of Endless Hunting let me keep my name, Lily in the Moonlight. I am the first she-cat healer, and the youngest of the history of my Tribe. I was not prepared for anything but the usual 'Whitecough' as you call it. A few of our to-bes descided to have an adventure to the No-fur place, and didn't return for a moon. When they did return, we thought they had gotten Whitecough, and so I treated them for such, but then the youngest died." She had a coughing fit, clearing her throat and continuing, "The lot of them died, but not before the sickness spread. My Tribe is larger than a clan now, but if the disease continues as it does, my Tribe will die off, and no trace of us will be left." She sighed and lay down softly. "I am very tired, and I hope you don't mind if I get some sleep. Perhaps my skies have followed me and asked your Ancestors for answers." With a yawn, Lily shut her eyes softly.

Ebbs thought carefully about the she cat's words. If what she said was true and the sikcness could cause such damage, then Ebbs had just let this horrible disease in to her friend's clan. Ebbs winced as if in pain. She turned away from Lily and looked to Willowkit, "Please make sure you do as she asks if and when she wakes up." This sickness had a cure, Ebbs knew there had to be one. But as it was she didnt know and she had let it in to the camp with welcome arms! She grimaced and trotted out in to the clearing. Her ice blue eyes trailed up to Duskstar's den. What was she going to say?

Duskstar padded out of her den and sat on the edge of the Highledge as the sun floated past the sun-high mark in the sky. It was just after sun-high, and the first sun-high patrol was padding through the thorn tunnel. She opened her mouth slightly and breathed in, enjoying the forest scents. But...they were tinged with something foul. Something like...sickness! The tabby she-cat's eyes immediately narrowed and she leaped down the rockfall. That was when she saw Ebbs in the clearing. "Ebbs! Is there sickness in the camp?" She asked quickly.

"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."

"Old man, are you trying to provoke me?"

Ebbs flinched at the urgency in Duskstar's voice knowing that it was her own fault that there was. The black she cat's ears drooped beside her head. Before the she cat spoke her eyes filled with sorrow and apologies. "Umm..." she started, "Well, about that. You see... when Willowkit, Nightstreak Hymmwhisper and I were on the border of the territory we met up with Lily the Stoneteller of the Tribe of Rushing Waters. She recognized me from a visit i had spent there. She asked to meet with our medicine cat and i felt oblidged. So i took her to my den only to find out that the sickness she had wasnt whitecough... its something called Black Death and i have no idea how to cure it." Ebbs dipped her head lowly knowing that any deaths in the furture were her fault. "I will take full responsibility for this." She felt a growl burn within her. What better timing for a crisis to hit than when she was going to talk to Duskstar about searching further for Eaglesight.

Duskstar's eyes narrowed as she saw that her friend seemed to be taking it out on herself. "We'll talk about the questionability of your taking Lily in later. Are you surethat Lily meant that she wanted to speak with the medicine cat? I see how the situation could call for such a thing, but do remember that a healer for them is also the leader. Are you positive that she didn't mean to speak with me?" The she-cat's emerald eyes sparkled with urgency as she asked Ebbs. She wasn't necessarily mad at the stand-in medicine cat, more worried for her clanmates. But if Ebbs knew what she was doing, then Duskstar would stand behind her.

Ebbs shrugged her shoulders, "Heck if i know... I suppose it would hurt to talk to her but at the moment she is asleep." Ebbs lifted her eyes to her old friend. "She came here thinking that our warrior ancestors might have the answer." With a sigh she flicked her tail in the direction of her temporary den. "She is in there when she wakes up." Ebbs turned away slightly and sighed. "For right now we might as well get a few thing done until she wakes up." With a soft glance she turned back to Duskstar. "I need to talk to you... about Eaglesight." Ebbs saw pain reflected in her friend's green eyes at the mention of the tom's name. "At least until Lily wakes up, then i will be out of your fur."
