RE: Wyverny Journaly -- Pokémon RP ROUGH DRAFT POSTED

3/29/10

So, couple of things:

First, the Pokémon RP is doing way better than expected. Like all of my other attempts at it, I thought it would die in a matter of days, without reaching more than ten pages, but we've already passed that mark -- hopefully it keeps up! If it sputters and dies, though, I have other plans for it; for example, I'm going to try it on BZPower once the RPG approval system gets back up. Depending on how it works out over there, it'll either be turned in a story or I'll turn it large scale -- that is, an entire forum dedicated to the RP. I'm already figuring things out for it. XD

Second, school has started back up over here, so don't expect to see me from 7 A.M. to 3:20 P.M. PST from now on, aside form on weekends.

Third, I'm brainstorming ideas for my birthday (August 4th) since it'll be my 16th one (wow, where did the time go? O.o) Right now, I think I'm going to have a big epic lightsaber fight with a bunch of friends, since they preferred that to dressing up as Pokémon. :P
In all seriousness, though, I don't know what I'm going to do. But, at least I have a little over 4 months to plan. XD

XD Thanks, even if it is extremely early.

And it sounds like most people would prefer a lightsaber battle over anything else, so I think we're going with that. >=)

RE: Wyverny Journaly -- A Recurring Tendency With My RPGs

4/14/10
You know, I'm a writer at heart. I like to write. I like group writing. Above all, though, despite problems with my writing style (which is nowhere near perfect, mind you,) despite my love for my story ideas, small arguments with other players and other such things, I love role-playing. Your biggest hindrance in an RP is your own creativity, because in a good, strong RPG, you are free to do whatever you want. "The sky's the limit," as they say. I love playing RPGs, and I love creating them -- Night Ride, Rise of the Rockets, The Book of Daeja, World's End... I like to think of them as my brain children. I love them to death, and many other people love them, too.

Yet, I noticed something while looking over the BZPower edition of Rise of the Rockets. It's a flaw in my imagination; a rather annoying flaw, if you ask me. That flaw is the fact that almost every single one of my RPGs -- Rise of the Rockets, The Book of Daeja, World's End -- has no potential for a continuation RPG -- a sequel, if you will.
This may not seem bad -- after all, the idea of a sequel has been beaten to death over and over and over again by Hollywood, to a point where most people hate them -- but when you have an original idea... It can be tough, leaving it behind once it's finished.

Ah well -- I still have ways of continuance, like writing stories and stuff, so I guess it's not extremely bad.

Wyverny Journaly -- A Day in My Life

4/15/10

NOTE: This is simply for comedic purposes, and is not to be taken seriously.

A Day in My Life:

*wakes up* Oh, hey, I feel like I'm getting another cold, which is completely surprising considering I just scrubbed down the kitchen that everyone else has neglected to do anything with aside form adding on to my workload in there.

*goes downstairs to find kitchen in ruins again* ... WOW. Did I miss something here? A hurricane, maybe?

*later*

*on the computer* Wow, the media is sticking their noses in various celebrities lives. Amazing. Who the heck cares about anything like this? Seriously.

*in the background* Oh, hey, it's my oldest sister/second youngest brother, watching some show about some random persons affairs/some cheesy cartoon/animated show. Why complain about the media and then watch the former shows yourself/how the heck can you watch these motion sickness-inducing animated shows without getting motion sickness?

In the case of the older sister scenario: *Makes a noise in the other room* Sister: OH MY GOSH, WHY IS EVERYONE SO LOUD I CAN'T WATCH ANYTHING OR HEAR ANYTHING OR [insert rest of rant here, which completely contradicts her point about quietness]

In the case of the younger brother scenario: *Asks a question about something important* Brother: OH MY GOSH RAAAAWRRAWR *kicks window/other thing and starts to slam fist on stuff and throws toys*

*later*

Oh, looky here; no one has done their chore. Hey, assorted brothers and sisters, why have you not done your chores?

Third oldest sister: Well, why should I have to do this, it's all your guy's fault, I never do anything around here that would constitute me having to do anything?

Older brother: Oh my gosh, you act like you do everything, Kyle, everyone else does just as much as you if not more and [insert other such things here.]

Fine, I'll just do it myself. *Takes over everyone elses' jobs and is not helped plus doesn't receive credit for it, as people continue to add more to the workload*

*later*

*first younger brother is playing a game and is being annoying because he is growling constantly*
Hey, younger brother, why not do the sensible thing and put down the iPod if it's making you so angry?

Brother: RAWRRAWRRAWR SHUT UP RAWRRAWRRAWR!

Whatever.

*later*

Dad: Hey, what should we have for dinner?

Assorted brothers and sisters: OHOH, let's have [insert really bad foods here]

I know, why not have something good, like stir-fried chicken with [insert several nutritious vegetables here]? I'll even make it myself, since we have the stuff and all and I know how to make it.

Dad: Okay, we're going to McDonalds/other fast food place!

*Did I not just make a really sensible suggestion?* I wonder.

*later*

*everyone else is fighting over the stupidest things*

*the next day*

*cycle repeats*

*school starts on Monday*

Friend: Gee, you look really tired. Why is that?
