Taroc lighted down on the ground next to Madala. He sighed and shook his head. "No, just the usual muddy puddles that we always drink from. But I'm surprised you're not used to being so dirty by now. We've been here for a long time." He made the last remark a bit snide. He clawed at the ground with his talons, the thoughts of the giant footsteps returning to his mind. He looked down at his talons, thinking. What could be big enough to make footsteps that large? He shuddered at the thought of what it might be. He'd heard of strange, giant animals that roamed the earth a long way away. They were extremely huge, with giant feet, a long trunk-like nose, and razor sharp teeth that protruded from their mouths. They were called "elephants" or something. He heard they ate birds that they plucked right from the sky with their huge noses, tearing their bodies to shreds. Another shudder traveled up his spine.

Ooc: I realize elephants don't eat birds, please bear with me here.

"You know the leopard tribe was the cleanest," she snapped back. "it's my way of life." she sainted at him with anger. Usually she wouldn't act in such ways. She was raised differently. She was raised as a kind leopard, but since her tribe was wiped out, she became more like a savage. Or at least that's what her tribe would call it. She tried to recal what her mother had said when she was younger. It would always comfort her. However the memory grew dimmer with time and she could not find the memory. Her eyes widened when she realized she could no longer remember her mother. "I'm sorry," her voice became suddenly quiet. "I need to go," she turned and ran, disappearing into the woods within seconds. Tears ran down her cheeks. The memory of her mother had been the one thing that made her whole. She felt like her heart had been toarn out. She tried so hard to remember as she ran. Nothing.

Akumu turned just in time to see the blurr of masala running off. "She's such a Dramma Queen." he remarked, jumping from his log. The eagle looked sort of dazed and sextes Ted. "you okay?"

Ooc: Sorry I haven't bee posting...

Ic: Taroc looked up at Akumu. "It's nothing," he sighed. He turned and walked off awkwardly. He looked around with his raptor vision and could see nothing green in sight. Not even the sun was shining. It seemed to always be behind a blanket of clouds here. It was no wonder no tribes lived here. This place was barren. No trees. No grass. No crystal clear water holes. Just boulders, dirt and sand, and muddy puddles.

Akumu looked at his friend with a croocked smile. "okay, well I had an idea brewing." Ge thought back to a couple moons ago when ge had thought of this idea. "I have been considering this for a moon now, and I believe it is time." he sat down and took a breath. "I suggest we move on from this land, sure our tribes onece lived here, but after moons of searching, we've foun there is no way they are here. Our best hope isto go elsewhere. We will die if we remain here."' He didn't know how Taroc would take it. He'd hoped his friend hadn't become too attached to the land. "if you need time to think I am willing to wait."

Taroc listened to Akumu's idea. Leave this land? The idea had never crossed his mind. They were put here, and he'd stayed here on the notion that someday, when they were ready, his tribe would come back for him here. They'd just been keeping them here until the disease passed, and they'd come get him. That had never happened. He thought some more. To come back for him would mean his tribe cared about him. They'd left him here with nothing. Didn't that mean they didn't care about him? And if they didn't then, why should they now. His shoulders sagged. His tribe, his friends and family, didn't care about him. He turned back to Akumu. "Where would we go?" he asked. "Every other place that's fertile is inhabited by another animal tribe." He wasn't trying to shoot down his friend's idea. He really was wondering. He actually had sadness in his eyes.

Akumu shrugged. "anywhere but here," he looked to the sky. "there has to be somewhere we can claim. Somewhere with water and food, that isn't bad for us." he grinned. "I can imagine it perfectly." he pictured green grass and trees, a river flowing rapidly with lots of jumping fish, and a warm den to sleep in. "somewhere, there's a place, just for us. And U am determined to find it." he stood up, his tail in the air. "Think about it." he said, then he trotted off to drink from another muddy puddle.

Think about it? Taroc thought about it. He thought a lot about it. It did seem wonderful. But how could he leave? There was still a sliver of hope left in Taroc that their tribes would return. He cast his senses into the forest again, trying to find his tribe. The giant footsteps were still there, and this time there were more of them, and they were more rapid, as if there was a group of creatures running. Something shot passed his sense range, and Taroc followed it with his senses. Then he saw it. It was a golden eagle from his tribe. Not just any, it was Rocar, his brother! He seemed nervous and frightened. He flew out of the forest into the vast prairie dotted with pine forests that separated the barren lands from the forest. It wasn't like any of the forest tribes to go there. The tribes in the prairie were aggressive. Was it just Taroc's imagination, or was Rocar headed in their direction...?

Room for one more? I can't get a pic right now cause I'm on my iPod but I will once I get back on the computer. I'm hoping this post won't look all messed up :p Name- Lukaa Gender- Male Species- Brown Bear Description/Picture- Personality- Lukaa may look like a fierce snarling beast but he is actually a really nice animal (when he wants to be) he has a good sense of humor and because of his size compared to other animals he is careful about everything he does and tries not to be the giant monster many animals see at first glance. Special Ability- Super strength
