"As far as torture's go, this is by far the worst." She said sarcastically as she sat down next to him. She studied the side of his face for a moment. Not really realizing that staring wasn't the normal thing to do in a conversation. "You care about them, your friends. When you say had, there is a hint of, how do I put it, regret. Or maybe it's bitterness..." She realized it was none of her business of course, but the curiosity that now resided in her mind was too much to ignore. Dany was having a real conversation. With someone who had feelings, who seemed as a genuine person would seem. She watched a few moments more. "You don't have to tell me anything you know. You could just ignore me until they take me away again, I'll try not to take it personally." A small smile caressed her lips. "Besides, you look tired. Maybe you should sleep. I'll take to the floor. I'm not tired really anyway."

A soft smile touched Daniel's lips at Emili's words. "Of course." He spoke, then walked closer to her. Daniel stood behind Emili and traced his finger lightly down her neck, and slightly under the collar of her shirt. "Here we go." He said, pressing down gently on the small bump of where the spine starts for the back. The skin had parted slightly, and revealed a small panel lit with lights that flashed ever so often. One of the small lights blipped red. Daniel frowned, then pulled out his datapad, and connected a small wire to the socket underneath the light. "I'm going to have to do this manually. You were hit pretty badly." Daniel watched as the screen on his datapad lit up with numbers and calculations. A holo-screen flipped out of the small monitor, and with it was a small bar that had just finished loading. Next, more numbers filled the screen, but Daniel seemed a bit frustraited with the order of them. "They're in a random set code, all jumbled up like gibberish. Hold on a second." He paused, resetting certain numbers, until it had all fit into a sequence of a pattern. "There we go." He smiled triumphantly, then pressed a white button on the datapad, which made the holo-screen vanished. The datapad made a small 'bing' sound, then shut off. Daniel let out a sigh of relief as he looked over to the light, which was now green, and pulled out the cord. Immediately the panel closed, and the skin around it had formed together again. "Feeling any better?"

OOC: Shepard is helpful finally~ XD

William tossed a sideways glance to Dany, "I'm not tired really. Just fatigued. I suppose you know the feeling. My whole body feels like a giant paper weight. My minds pretty sharp right now though." The edge of his lip quirked up ever so slightly. He looked away for a moment, her earlier remarks entering his mind. His friends, indeed there was regret. "I guess I just thought we'd have had until the end of our mission before we all went our separate ways." His eyes darkened with meaning. He had not thought they would leave each other's company with fond fair wells. No, it would more likely have been they would haves died in a blaze of glory. Going their separate was in to death.
William pulled himself out of his musings, "Sorry, its not that I don't want to talk about them... Its more like, I don't know how." He fell silent and let his head slump forward, "If I ever get out of here, I guess it'll be my duty to find their bodies and give them a burial." Softly he let their names fall from his lips, "Emili, Shepard... Dex."

Emili felt, felt wasn't exactly the right word, more or less was aware that Shepard had done something to the back of her neck. As he went about his work Emili saw numbers flash across her vision. For a moment she was confused, but as they continued to flash by she became more aware of what they meant. It was a language being pieced together. Parts and patterns were missing, yet as Shepard continued to work the patterns emerged. Emili's mind was quickly putting the language back together. Information was beginning to return to her, though in pieces. Much of her lost memory banks seemed to remain lost. As her history returned to her, the faces of the Patriots came back. She knew who Shepard and Dex were, joy and relief filled her as she blinked away the numbers and looked at her companions. "Dex, Shepard!" she said happily. A moment longer and she realized that someone was missing. "Where is Ghost Town?" Another moment passed and she knew. He was gone.

Human companionship was far from her area of expertise, but she knew, this man, this Ghost Town, he was hurting. "Perhaps separate ways have yet to be made. You're speaking as if you know what's already happened, when all it is, is you making conclusions. Right?" She thought for a moment. What to say? She watched him for a moment, his head slumped, and the echo of the names of his companions still rang off of the walls. She set a hand on his shoulder, it wasn't awkward, but it wasn't comfortable either. She barely knew this man, but he was hurting. And emotional pain could be far worse than any physical pain. "Maybe they aren't dead. Maybe you won't have to worry about any burial grounds. Perhaps all you'll have to worry about is the reunion you'll have. Which really is nothing to worry about at all." She slid her hand off his shoulder. Had she said the right thing? Yes, she felt she did. It was whether he accepted her condolences or not now. At least, if they were dead, he'd be someone who'd remain true to the friendship they shared. At least he'd go back and give them a proper burial. Such companionship had never been given to her. It was a beautiful thing really.

William had tensed under the woman's hand. Almost all human contact he had had in his life was painful. He felt his hand grow warm at the memories of Dex holding it. That night in the hospital after the surgeries seemed like nothing more than a dream now. Dex probably hated his guts, providing she was still alive. If anything she might just be trying to carry on with the mission. Glancing down at his hand, William rubbed his fingers together, as if willing Dex's hand to be there to comfort him. He shook his head and glanced sideways at Dany, "If they are alive, they'd be fools to try and come here to save me. I hope they move on and finish what we started, if only to honor my memory. I can take care of myself." He looked away, his brown eyes growing angry, "I have no intention on staying here forever. I'd rather die than have that." His mouth pulled in sneer making his stubble move along with it. His body tensed and protested to the action. It had gone through enough today and was indignant that he would continue to make it suffer. Letting his body relax he turned to her, "If you've had enough of this place then if might be best to be on the same side. I'm a Commander, or at least I was. I'm only as good as my team and without anyone I'm no good. Help me, and I'll help you." His brown eyes blazed with a rebellious light.

Escaping. Leaving this place, what a thought that was. In the early months of her being here, she never was able to make it out herself. She eventually gave up, and just stuck it out all these years. The thought of finally being free? With someone who wanted out as much as she did? "You have a deal. I'll help you, you help me." She met his eyes, and his own gaze reflected her own with the burning desire of being free of this place. "I'll follow your lead, Commander." She realized he'd said he used to be, but it seemed irrelevant. "I'd rather die than be stuck here forever as well, there have been several days...where I've wanted to give into the pain, and just let it consume me. But my instinct would kick in and I'd still be alive at the end of the day. If you can get me out of here, I'll do whatever I can to repay you in the future, and get you back to your teammates, dead or alive."

William nodded softly, "Very well. We'll get out of here, even if its the last thing I do." He looked away, a short scoff left his lips, "And knowing my track record, it just might be." His eyes softened for a moment as he whispered to himself, "Who's the tragic hero now Dex?" Shaking his head as if to wake himself, William turned back to Dany, "I don't know if we have time to plan anything. I don't know if they'll come to get you soon. For now, bide your time. When you get back, if you do, I'll need you to tell me everything you know about the pattern of the guards shifts, when they take you out for torture. That sort of thing. If we aren't allowed to talk to one another again, we'll have to find some other way." William looked away, more than likely the clownish man knew exactly what was going on in here and what they were talking about. "We may have to come up with a code of some sort," his mouth pulled in to a frown, "For now, we'll have to wait."

OOC; Might have to do a time skip of a day or so.

OOC: I was thinking that as well. I'll make my post where your next one could lead into it?

Dany nodded. "I don't really mind if it's the last thing I do, at least either way, it'll all be over." She thought for a moment, would they let them talk again? And if they didn't, how would they communicate? She wouldn't be surprised if they were being monitored right now. So if that was the case, they would know they were trying to escape. But then, they were probably so high on themselves, they figure it near impossible. As she was never able to. "I'm sure they don't intend on leaving me with you much longer, if they don't let me see you again, I'll find a way to get to you without them knowing and give you the information you need." As if on cue, the man came back in, and his burly voice was an unwelcoming sound from the small talking Ghost Town and Dany had just shared. "Ready to go, sweetheart? I believe you and WC-1863 have gotten cozy enough for one day, eh?" He wrapped his thick, sausage-like fingers aroun dher elbow and pulled her to her feet and towards the door.
"You rest up now, WC, you'll need to be well rested for all the fun you and I are gonna have together." He laughed as he ushered Dany towards the door. She flashed one quick look back in Ghost Town's direction, she tried to convey her thoughts in her expression, that she would do all she could, but she doubted he was able to read her expression in the short glance she was able to give him. She'd see him, soon. He'd given her hope. And that was something she hadn't had in many years.

The hours passed by achingly slow as Emili and what remained of the Patriots waited. Emili herself was aware of just exactly how much time had passed, but it didn't help the situation. Ghost Town had been gone for so long now, who knew if he was even still alive. Emili felt her newly develop emotions turn toward dispair. How were they to complete their mission, let alone get out of this situation?
With a heavy sigh, Emili turned her blue human eye toward Shepard. If there was one thing she was grateful for, it was her new commanding officer. she felt foolish when her archives replayed what had happened when she couldnt remember. Frustration built within her to think how things could have been different if she had only known who she was.
It was to late for shoulda, woulda, coulda's now. They wew in the thick of things and their only hope was to find their lost companion and get out of here.
The transport they were in bumped along for a while before coming to a joilsting halt. Emili glance from Shepard to Dex and then to Foster. Had they been discovered? Shouts and feet pounding within the transport sent Emili and her team in to battle positions. They waited by the door as more shouts sounded.
Emili tuned her ears to hearr the frequencies properly. She managed to catch an officer shouting, "Battle positions! enemy frigate inbound! By the coded ship ID we can assume they are either from the Splinter cell or the remnants of Outcast."
Another person replid with disbelief, "Outcast sir? Isnt that just a myth?"
The officer scoffed, "You tell me, does that frigate look like a myth?"
Emili stopped listening at that point. Her eyes were round as she turned back to the others, "Could it be the Star Runner?" Emili saw Foster perk up a little at the sound of his former squad's ship name. If it was the Star Runner, this transport was no match for it. They needed to get out, now.

William was locked tightly in his cell. It had been almost a full day since he had talked to Dany. His usual frown was set on his face. No one had come to bother him all day, he found this unnerving. Pacing his cell, well more like limping around in a circle, William thought many times about how they could get out of here. His thoughts were interrupted when that same clownish man opened the peep hole in the door.
His glasses gleamed for a moment as he happily said, "Hello WC, would yu like your treatment?"
William sneered and spat, "Bite me."
The man tsk tsk him for a moment, " That wasn't polite, and here i had even gone to the trouble of getting you company. Dany, as you call her, will be joining you."
William's mouth twitched for a second but he said nothing more. The man behind the door shut the peephole and opened the door. Two large burly men entered and grabbed William by his arms. They guided him to his most hated room. Once he entered he saw the tub filled with water and the copper table they would strap him to. However there was something different about the room this time. Dany was chained to the far wall with barely enough slack on her wrists to wiggle.
William sent her a worried look as the goons pushed him on to the table. They strapped him down with practiced ease. Once they were out of the room, the clown man's voice sounded, "Let's start, shall we?"
Immediatly the table lowered in to the water. William sent Dany a fake look of bravery as the first wave of immeassurable pain tore through the very core of his body. He arched his back in pain and his fists clenched, digging in to his palms. This was just first of many to come. It was going to be a horrible day.

The feeling of not being able to move was always Dany's least favorite feeling. She'd grown used to being strapped down, as it was nearly everyday in which she was, but it was bothersome. Her eyes flew to the door that opened, and she watched as Ghost Town entered, their eyes met for a brief moment as he was guided to the copper table, and forced onto it. She felt the need to say something, but what would she say? Nothing would make sense, and nothing felt appropriate for a time such as this. It'd been almost a day since she'd seen him last, frankly, she wasn't expecting to see him so soon. She'd kept her eyes open, and from being here for so long, it wasn't hard to piece together the times in which which guards were where and when, who did what. Sure it was fuzzy, but from years of seeing it, she could imagine she would be able to contribute something helpful to their escape plan. Maybe.
As the others left, and Dany and Ghost Town were left in the room alone with the horrid excuse of a man, the table began to lower. A brief look of almost bravery met her face. He was trying, and for that she admired him. But as she watched him in pain, shivers went up her spine at the remembrances of what it feels like. Although they'd only just met, they were in this together, and she wanted desperately for them to escape and have this torture and pain cease to exist. Her face twisted in displeasure at the smirk on the mans face as he watched Ghost Town flinch, and arch his back in pain. He was entirely enjoying this. Dany wanted nothing more than to kill him, to wipe that sickening smirk off his face for good. Her arms tugged at the chains, without movement however, and it only caused her wrists to rub against them with an almost raw feeling. Being the audience of this only made her desire to escape ever so much greater. They were only feeding fuel to the fire with this today.
