Isel slightly inched back, and almost fell of his seat. "Dragons?" His voice was slightly shaking in fear and disbelief. "They're all tamed, right? I mean, they won't eat us?" Isel folded his hands and placed them inbetween his legs so they would stop shaking. He lowered his head and slightly mumbled, "THis is just what I need, going to the elf homeland, to find out dragons exist, and possibly ride one. Complications to a normal life." Then Isel let out a sigh, and rethought his statement. It didn't sound all that bad, he was just overracting. Isel lifted his head looked to the others with a slight pathetic yet sarcastic expression.

Troka watched as the he-self stepped up on to the edge of the ship, his hand reaching out toward the garnet colored dragon. In an instant the red creature lunged forward and reached out with his front paw, grasping the he-elf and passing the ship. Troka's bewildered gaze followed them as the he-elf climbed the foreleg of the dragon and climbed on a leather saddle that sat at the base of the dragon's neck. He seemed to strap leather strips across his legs to hold him in place. After a moment the dragon rose higher and higher in to the sky, a torrent of red fire burst from the creature's mouth, as if he were to excited to keep it in.
Troka's eyes went straight back to the she-elf. Her eyes turned toward the cobalt blue dragon. They stared at each other for a while, no audible words could be heard. After another moment, the she-elf nodded and the blue dragon rose in to the sky after her companion. Nastala turned back to the group, a smile gracing her face, "We speak to each other with our thoughts. If not, the dragons would have no language. They will meet us in the city where I large crowd gathers to meet you all. It has been far to long since we've had new riders in our midst." Nastala turned forward and gazed at the mountain that continued to grow larger and larger as they approached.

Kaleo kept a cool head as he learned he was to be one of the next dragon riders. He watched with intense interest as the creatures hovered over them, and then flew off again. He'd never seen such a marvelous creature, and he'd thought he'd seen everything in his time. He watched as the dragons grew ever farther away from them. He couldn't deny the fact that this was the last thing he saw coming. To be a dragon rider? He'd heard stories, but his father had told him to never believe in those tales, only to believe in what you could see, and he certainly saw those dragons. The young red-headed human had her knees to her chest and she looked frightened. Her whisper of not wanting to be here reached his ears. He felt like it was appropriate to say something, but he really didn't know how to go about it. His eyes went back to the sky, wanting, craving, to see those magnificent beasts again. He brought his arms over his chest as he stood tall, when the she-elf had mentioned meeting a large crowd, his brow creased. He wasn't one to socialize, particularly, he wasn't one to know how to go about socializing. He walked over to the edge of this boat and watched as their destination neared.

Peering over the side of the ship, Ariana let out a small whimper as she watched them fly away. Her nerves visibly smoothed out as she watched them disappear into the sky line. It wasn't that she didn't believe the creatures to be graceful. It was actually on the contrary what she believed. They were truly beautiful creatures; however, their sudden appearance took her by surprise and she didn't have the ability to cope with something so sudden. Shifting her weight from knee to knee - since with her legs folded under her she couldn't see over the side of the boat - she watched the growing mountains creep towards them. Swallowing her fear, she reasoned, Well, I won't be as surprised next time... But such a thought brought her little comfort as the image of the dragon breathing fire once again plagued her mind. Visibly paling, she sat upon the ground once more.

Troka tentatively walked toward the bow of the ship, where Nastala was standing. The elf's brown eyes stared at the approaching mountain with an unreadable look. The half-ling stood in the elf's shadow and cleared her throat. Nastala sent her a soft gaze and a raised eyebrow, "Yes youngling, what is it?"
Troka shifted from foot to foot, "Um... Don't you think you have the wrong people for this?" Nastala's face did not look surprised at her question. "I mean... I'm a hobbit. Not an elf. I'm not one of the great races. My people are peaceful and love the feel of the Earth on our feet." The small hobbit looked to the sky, "My people aren't meant to ride dragons. They're so much... Bigger than we are."
Nastala kneeled down in front of the half-ling, their height equal now, "My dear little hobbit, it was no mistake that you were chosen to be a rider. As it was there was no mistake in any of being chosen. Never before have we had human riders. You were all chosen because it is your destiny. Do not despair." Troka frowned and looked to her feet.
"Very well my lady," She replied to the elf.
Nastala smiled and stood. Pointing to the ship was headed she said, "Look there." As the hobbit looked up she saw a splendorous sight. They had left the forest behind and now they were drifting in to the mountain. Intricately designed buildings dotted the sides of the mountain, all the way from the base to the top. Large buildings, small buildings, buildings of every shade of gold, brown and green covered the mountain. Was was even more wonderful was the sight of hundreds and hundreds of jewel colored dragons traced the skies around the mountain. Elves moved through the streets of the cities, dragons accompanying them like old friends. Troka couldn't believe the sight.

Anwen gasped. "Troka just look at that!" Anwen had been just thinking of what it ment to be a dragon rider. When she saw that Troka was starring at somthing intensly. She then walked over there. It was like precious stones flying across the sky over a beutiful city. Yet then again that is basicly what it was. "Oh wow!" she exclaimed again. "This is the most beutiful thing Ive seen in my life!"

Enchanting, that was the only word that Kaleo could think of to describe the site that was set before his eyes. He'd always believe these were myths. Old stories to crave a child's need for adventure, never something that he would actually lay his keen eyes upon. Bright and dull greens and browns illuminated the city, as the even brighter colored dragons dipped and soared next to other elves. Kaleo thought for a moment what this journey was to mean for him, a dragon rider. He'd be given a dragon, a real dragon. In his minds eye, he imagined a strong stone colored dragon, with huge talons and horns, a fierce he-dragon. One side of his mouth curved in a smirk. This was the start of something incredible.

ooc; his dragon is the complete opposite. xD

Peering over the edge of the ship, once again on her knees, Ariana wondered in the back of her mind what all the chatter was about. Until she actually saw the sight before them. Yes, she would admit the city was beautiful - she always had a thing for intricacies though, then again, when she thought of the perfect place to live she imagined a small hut in the middle of a quiet village - but something about it unsettled her. Whether it was because of why she was there or because it was simply too awe-inspiring, she didn't know, nor did she care to figure it out. Standing on shaky legs and taking a deep breath, Ariana leaned on the side of the ship, hip jutting out as she contemplated what all this meant. Yes, the understanding of why they were there had sunk in but she, always a curious one, had searched underneath the underneath and wondered why they had been called on. However, she tucked the thought to the back of her mind, a bright smile plastering itself on her face with a soft sigh.

How is it that no one knew about this? Kayus thought as he watched the great beasts glide over the city. A dragon rider.... Though the thought was a bit terrifying, Kayus couldn't help feeling overly excited about it. With a dragon, he could go just about anywhere. And then there was the fire. Seeing the ruby colored dragon shoot flames from its mouth had made Kayus want to be a rider even more. What is that dragons can't do? He thought with a smile.

Glancing towards Nastala, Kayus asked, "So what is it we'll be doing? As riders. I mean, what exactly do dragon riders do?"

Nastala smiled at Kayus, "You will be keeping the peace of the realm, bonding with your dragon and teaching younger generations what it means to be a dragon rider. Your king, Rumadon has allowed to to become free people, with no allegiance to any state or country. However, as a dragon rider you will be bound to stop evil. As the army of Meroktar press closer and closer toward Thur'endar's capital, his evil grows. You will not have enough time to become Riding Masters, but you will be full fledged riders by the time you must go and face him. Beware younglings, you hardships have only just begun."
The boat drifted further and further in to the mountain's base. Elves and dragons wove their way toward where the boat was headed. Soon enough up ahead there was a beautiful port with docks that looked woven together as intricately as a master crafted basket. The sloop pulled in toward the docks, a group of elves stood upon the dock and waited for the boat. A few of the elves jumped aboard and began tying ropes they had carried from the docks on to the boat. The boat slowed down until it came to a halt beside the docks. Nastala waved to the elves and they quickly disembarked the sloop.
The regal elf turned to them and smiled, "Welcome to the heart and soul of Vis'homlå." She turned and swept her hand to gesture at the mountain and all its glory, "This is Ashal. Follow me and I will lead you to your souldbearers, your partners, your dragons." She left the sloop and made her way across the dock, heading toward the base of the peak.
