ooc; It was I who wasn't clear! I understood that it was with our minds, I just didn't make it obvious in my post, maybe because I thought everyone knew. ^_^

With a bright smile and a clap of her hands, Ariana stepped forwards and spoke without hesitation. The way the words slid so easily from her tongue slightly worried her, but she blocked it from her mind. "Ve'suth fra Draconis. Groth fre jatherus unil ashalma ka ost frethuras, unil frehuras ka freth." She watched with bated excitement as a large, young, male dragon stepped forwards. In the cave his scales glowed dully though in her mind she could already picture how beautiful he truly way. He watched the human with mild interest as she cheered in joy like a child and cooed over him. With a snort, he watched as his voice echoed in her mind, as it is with any dragon and rider.

"Ve'suth fra Rider. Groth fre jatherus unil ashalma ka ost frethuras, unil frehuras ka frethI am Skips."

"Your name is too adorable!" she cooed almost instantly, jumping around. Restraining himself from backing away from the young human, he heaved a great sigh.

I'm stuck with an idiot.

"Ve'suth fra Draconis. Groth fre jatherus unil ashalma ka ost frethuras, unil frehuras ka freth." Kayus took a deep breath and watched the remaining dragons, waiting for one of them to respond.

"Ve'suth fra Rider. Groth fre jatherus unil ashalma ka ost frethuras, unil frehuras ka frethI am Galleyn." Kayus jumped slightly as those words thundered through his head. A large, jet black dragon stepped forward, his great, green eyes boring into Kayus' own brown eyes. There seemed to be a bit of curiosity hidden within the emerald depths of those eyes. The dragon twisted thick neck so he was now looking at Kayus the same way a confused puppy would. The top of dragon's head glimmered silver as the light reflected off of it.

Isel shook his head and sighed, folding his arms over his chest. "Ve'suth fra Draconis. Groth fre jatherus unil ashalma ka ost frethuras, unil frehuras ka freth." He stood and waited for a response. It was many moments before a dragon seeped into his conscious, chilling his very soul. "Ve'suth fra Rider. Groth fre jatherus unil ashalma ka ost frethuras, unil frehuras ka freth. I am Cerva." A white brilliance of a dragon moved closer to Isel, and lowered her head. Her horns were an ebony black, and gleamed from the sun's rays. Her pale violet-blue eyes blinked once, and slowly. The sound of her voice both soothed and frightened him. Isel lifted his hand slowly, and placed it on Cerva's forehead. Her pure white scales were smooth and cool. A smile stretched the edge of his lip as he gazed at the dragon.

As each dragon found its rider, Nastala smiled. Troka had noticed that the she-elf had drawn closer to the group. Nastala seemed rather pleased with each dragon that had stepped forward. The half-ling listened as the she-elf spoke, "And just as our ancestors have done, so you do this day!" The crowd hushed at her voice, all eyes turned to her. "This day we celebrate the partnership of these chosen dragons and their riders." Her eyes grew soft and sorrowful, "For those who have yet to find their soul-bearers, have hope, for you shall find them still." With that, the young dragons that had not been chosen unfurled their wings and flew away from the crowd. They roared as they departed, their voices sounding mournful and disappointed.
Troka felt her heart wretch for them. They had looked forward to this for a long time and they had still yet to find their partners. The young hobbit turned her eyes to Kelshar, the dragon whom was to be her partner. He looked prideful and almost arrogant. Then again, when one is a dragon, why shouldn't they be? He had not looked at Troka since he had announced they he was to be her dragon. This made the half-ling worried. Was he disappointed? Of course he was. More than likely he expected his partner to be an elf or at least a human. A half-ling was nothing to boast about. Troka found herself growing sad. This was a bad idea.
She turned her attention back to Nastala, as to not wallow in misery, "We shall join these young dragons and their riders souls at the banquet of the ancients. The feast that has been served for every rider that steps up to protect the future of this world. They will uphold the honor of our forefathers, they shall solve the problems of their people and they shall protect the hearts and souls of the dragons who we now put in their care. This day strikes a new dawn for us. For to long have we hidden in Vis'holmå, in the shadow of our mountain. We have let evil grow to the south and it continues to grow to this day. It is time for the riders to become more than spectators. From this day, the day we accept more than elves in to our ranks, we shall become a force of good and morality throughout the land. We have the blessings of King Rumadon, in his lands shall we keep the peace. This day we establish the riders throughout the many lands. For all that is good, just and honorable, this we do swear!"
The dragons and elves around Troka let out shouts and roars in agreement and enthusiasm. Nastala's speech was rather inspiring. The half-ling felt as if she were just inducted in to a great order of knights and it was now time for her to serve as a paragon of the land. Joyful emotions welled in the small hobbit and she glanced up at Kelshar. The dragon looked rather invigorated himself. He looked as though he were ready to prove himself to the world. Perhaps this match of dragon and rider wasn't so bad after all.

Kaleo listened intently to Nastala's words. It was a thrilling speech, but he couldn't help but feel disappointed. He kept his expression impassive, but this did not strike him as an intriguing idea anymore. His dragon was one of the youngest that stepped forward if not the youngest. She seemed way too excited for her own good, the complete opposite of Kaleo. Surely there had been some sort of mistake? If dragon and rider were to share souls, shouldn't characteristics be shared as well? Kaleo wasn't one to produce emotion. Alya seemed to be the epitome of expressing emotion. Her eyes were bright, and joy radiated off of her in waves. Kaleo wanted desperately to pull Nastala aside and ask if there had been some sort of mistake, but it didn't seem appropriate. Not at the moment anyway.

Ariana whooped and threw her hands into the air with a leap as Nastala finished her speech. Beside her Skip let out a fearsome roar of enthusiasm. With a bright grin, her hands balled up into fists and she nodded. "This'll be great! I'll work out my fears and save the land! I can do this!" Skips, in the opposite spectrum was confident from the beginning and watched his rider the way a guardian would watch their charge. Snorting, he gained her attention. Spinning around to look at him, Ariana still had a bright, childish grin on her face. "This is going to be great, Skips! Just wait. We'll become a great team. I just know things like this!" she cried out with a flourish of her hands. Releasing a familiar echo-like giggle, she walked up to him and placed a gentle hand on his scales. "I just know it."

Anwen was only standing now spellbound of what just happened. Shatter loomed over her. She roared brightly. Anwen smiled. Yes she could make out what happened. She was a chosen dragon rider. The dragon chose her. As if to reply to her thoughts Shatter jumped into the air. Shatter was able to fly in circles before she landed. Anwen lauged. Shatter also churred. Anwen knew she could do this. She knew she was able to become a dragon rider. With Shatter at her side.

OOC: Gone for a week to play in the snow and the RP has no new posts? Must be a slow moving RP.... Anyways, back from surprise snowstorm attack! YAY FOR SNOW! Boo for traffic and other bad things..

IC: Galleyn studied his new rider, wondering if he had made the right choice. The human seemed sturdily built, but smelled... strange. He reeked of animal stench, both the good scent of food and that of animal wasted, which only made Galleyn feel hungry. Galleyn lowered his head towards Kayus and took a few quick sniffs. Kayus froze as he nervously watched the dragon. Galleyn leaned back and c(ocked his head again. You smell like food. He stated matter of factly.

"Uh... thanks...?" Kayus glanced worriedly towards Nastala, unsure if she could hear what the dragon was saying. "How about we go to the banquet... where they have real food."

So you're not real food? Galleyn's head moved towards Kayus again. He narrowed his eyes and studied the human once more. You, like all living creatures are made of flesh, which is edible for us dragons. Therefore you are "real food", but judging from your stench, you most likely will not taste any better than a three day old corpse.

Kayus could only stare back at the great, black dragon.

In other words, hatchling, I will not eat you. Besides, eating my rider wouldn't be the greatest idea, now would it. Kayus could the dragon laughing in his head and was positve he was smiling at him.
