Jackalfur watched with heavy lidded eyes as Darkstar gave his quick statement to the she-cat. His nosed twitched in annoyance, of course Darkstar was the new leader. Its not like this was some big news to everyone. To be a deputy he'd have had to have been a deputy first. Now that their old leader was gone it stood to reason that Darkstar was now the leader. A yawn escaped the tom's lips as he glanced away from the gathering cats. At least Darkstar hadn't done anything to particularly strange. Plus, he hadn't had much practice at being the leader, perhaps it was his way of trying to solidify the position. Well, as it was, it didn't matter to Jackalfur. He was content to have just come back from a hunting patrol. He wouldn't need to do anything for a while, at least he hoped so.

Acorafallen finally stood up and walked out of the den. Avoiding eyes, she watched the others. Darkstar and anyone else who may be in an argument did not need an audience. But that did not mean she would leave them to maul each other. Her ears twitched before she padded over to the Elder's Den. "Does anyone need anything?" she asked. her voice was soft from little use. She flicked her tail. It felt odd, like she had nothing to do. Their herbs were at a sufficient supply currently, and no one seemed to be ill or badly injured. Other than maybe Jackalfur but his wounds were long term and had since been treated to. Glancing back, she saw the stubborn cat sitting away from the group gathering. She shook her head and watched them silently.

Jackalfur felt Acorafallen's eyes pass over him for a moment. He snorted softly and turned a lazy gaze back at the medicine cat. She was no longer looking in his direction at the moment though. Good, that meant she'd wouldn't ask him to do anything. Not that he was lazy, he just didn't want to go out and do anything at the moment. He turned his attention to his paws again and began to groom them, the sun warming his fur and making him feel rather contented at the moment. A small grin passed on to his lips, today was a good day. No one was bothering him and he had done good on his hunt earlier. Not much else to do now, but wait for Strikingmoon to assign him to another patrol later.

Acorafallen shook out her fur. The treetops seemed to sway a little in the warm breeze, the sunlight gently ebbing into the grass. it felt comfortably temperatured out here. She silently walked up to the group of cats deciding to sit with them, not just because sitting alone currently felt boring, but because it felt a little warmer. Her ears were perked and her head raised. It seemed like the Leader and his....argumental partner were a little too busy. She flicked her ears back to the Medicine cat den. Maybe she could collect some more Moss...if not for the elders for another den. It might feel more comfortable if there was something fresh to lay in later. But it had to be fresh. She would go and get some more moss when the others were returning from the afternoon patrol. Glancing back to the group, she padded to the camp entrance and slunk through the leaves. "It might be better to look anyhow and see if there is any moss..." she muttered to herself. Besides, going out later might mean finding disappointment when there was none.

Dawnfire smiled at Strikingmoon. "Maybe later, I think everyone has had their share anyway, the fresh-kill is surprisingly full this morning!" She picked up her mouse eagerly, she was thrilled the others had looked over it. "Hey, Jackalfur! Aren't you going to eat anything? We had a full days work out hunting. Or are you too lazy to walk a few tail-lengths to eat?" Her eyes flashed in amusement and her tail twitched. "I understand the journey is perilous. But I heard your stomach growling on patrol." Dawnfire enjoyed teasing other cats, it was all in good fun though. She rarely actually meant the things she said. She enjoyed a challenge, and if there was an opportune moment for one, she'd seize it.

As she heard the voices of her clanmates fade, she padded further into the territory. She opened her maw and drank in the air. The sunlight hadn't quite overlapped the scent of wet rocks....not far from here. She closed her mouth and followed the scent quickly. As her paw pads gently made a light thud on the earth with each step, she cam to a short stop. She could hear rushing water. Her ears gave a visable twitch and she kept her head low. "And the Moss is near the border..." she grumbled. She shook out her fur and continued untill the ground felt damp, light mud andtwigs infused with leaves. There were patches of moss growing around a small selection of rocks, layered with algae. She gave a slight glance to them and scented the area again. She was two foxlengths from the border. Biting her lip she moved away. "Darn it. Maybe I'll look again later..." she mumbled.

Strikingmoon laughed at her teasing. She grabbed a vole from the pile and threw it in his direction. "Come eat with us!" she invited. She also looked at Stormheart. "All of you come on!" She took herself a finch. "Wanna share this?" She asked Stormheart. "Its pretty big." She wanted to discuss the new leader Darkstar. They were both new and young. She thought she was more inexperienced then him for being younger. She tossed the thoughts away. She watched Stormheart and Jackalfur for their reply on her invintation.

Ooc: Sorry my last sentence didn't make any sense. I hope you understand it at least a little bit...

As she headed back through their territory, she couldn't help but wonder. "I wonder why the moss has stopped growing around here..." she muttered. Her ears perked to the sound of her stomach rumbling. "Ohhh...forgot to eat..." she mumbled. She burst into a sprint and bounded through the thickets and brambles of the territory, heading swiftly back to camp. She breathed in the scent of her clan mates. "I hope they didn't eat it all." she whispered to herself. How selfish...of course they wouldn't have done that. Maybe she was just being a little weird and pessimistic today. Acorafallen silently slunk back through the entrance to the camp as she came up to it and noticed them eating. She padded over. "Mind if I eat with you?" she asked.

As the sun hung directly above the LightningClan camp, it's inhabatints lazly hung around, eating and relazing. One in particular was named Fallenreverence, a she-cat of many contradictions. Across the camp from the others, she watched the conversations as she sunned herself in a shaft of pure sparkling sun.  With a purr of enjoyment, she rolled on her back and batted at the warmth, a genuine grin plastered her mouth.  "This feels absoulutly divine." Suddenly, out of the blue, a loud growl errupted from the youngish she-cat's stomach. Turning over, Fallenreverence pushed herself up and troted across the grounds towards Dawnfire and asked, "May I join you?" Her eyes looked at the food, desiringly.

Acorafallen took a seat with the others. "I've no problems with it." she replied. Her ears twitched. "You seem bubbly today." she noted, the she cat having a rather enlargened grin on her face. She flicked her tail and decided to take a mouse from the pile. It wasn't exactly large, but not exact,ly a pin prick either. Biting into it she watched the others. Her attention span was really rather tiny today....anything caught her eyes. Like the leaves. With the mouse in her mouth, she watched them sway in the breeze. Weather like this usually didn't last, but it was better than having it rain all day. Besides, the sunlight felt great on the skin and fur...something to relax in.
