Sometimes I drabble.

Lost ;; "Will You Help Me?"
Set ;; Right after season 6 finale

Kate looked out the window as the island disappeared from view. It was over this time. Really over. But not just the island, not just everything they had been through, but her and Jack as well. She felt like it wasn't real, like it was all just another dream. That she would wake up at any moment and be back in her home with Jack. But it was real. And it wasn't a dream. She was heading home, for good. And Jack wasn't there. She felt a small hand slide into her own, and she turned to see Claire beside her. Looking both terrified and excited. "Hey, you okay?" Kate asked her.

Claire glanced at Kate and then back in front of her. "He won't know me."

Kate felt a cold stab in her heart. She was right, Aaron thought Kate was his mom. He'd been too young to remember Claire now. Kate squeezed Claire's hand. "That's why he'll get to know you."

"Yeah, but I don't want him to know me like this. Not like this." A tear fell from her eye as she turned to look at Kate. "I'm not the same. There is something wrong with me."

"No, no sweetie, you've just been lost for a really long time." Kate's voice shook. "You still love him don't you?" Claire nodded. "And you still want what's best for him, right?" She nodded again. "What's best for Aaron is his mom. His real mom. He needs the love you can give him that I can't." She swallowed. This was harder than she thought it was going to be. But she knew this is what she wanted. And this is what she had to do.

"You'll help me, won't you?" Claire asked, with desperation in her voice. "You won't just, give him to me and leave, right? Because I can't have you leave again. I can't have anyone leave again. I just can't, I can't be alone again." Claire's voice was rising as fear clouded her mind.

"Claire, Claire listen to me. I'm not going to leave you. I wouldn't do that to you, and I wouldn't do that to Aaron. No one is going to leave you again, okay? I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere."

Relief flooded over Claire's face as her grip on Kate's hand loosened.

"Thank you." She whispered.

Kate knew this was going to be difficult. Especially on Aaron, who wouldn't understand. That part would be especially hard on Claire, to have her own son not recognize her. She would have to help Aaron as well, this would be hard for him, having his mom tell him that she's not really his mom, this woman whom he's never met is.

They were about an hour outside of their destination. She closed her eyes and leaned back. She had been telling herself that this was the right thing to do, but it wasn't until she saw the hope in Claire's eyes of seeing Aaron again, that she knew she was right. She could do this, she just had counted on having Jack with her to help her through this.

"You alright, Freckles?" She heard a voice in front of her. James had moved to the seat in front of Kate, the same concern in his eyes that was always there when Kate was hurting.

She nodded. James tilted his head to the side, with a sarcastic expression that seemed to say, 'Oh really?' She nodded again as she turned to Claire, whose head was resting on her shoulder, sound asleep.

"I want you to know, I'll be there for you." She turned to meet his eyes. "When this gets too hard, or you feel like you can't, just give me a call. You know I'll be there."

This didn't sound like the James she remembered. But they both had done a lot of changing the last three years. And she knew he was being a genuine friend.

"Thank you, James. Really." He nodded, and went back to his seat.

Kate's eyes drifted back to the window. Her mind drifted back to her goodbye with Jack. Her eyes burned with tears that threatened to start falling again. She missed him already, and she didn't know how she would get through any of this without him. But he knew she'd be able too. He wanted her too. And for him, she would. And for Claire, she would. It wouldn't be easy, but she could do it. She had too.

Ron and Hermione ;; "As The Sun Sets"
Set ;; Sometime in the future

"I still don't see why we couldn't have just apparated." Ron grumbled from behind the wheel.

"Because it's nice to just drive there, isn't it?" Hermione asked from the passenger's seat.

"Slow is more like it." Hermione rolled her eyes at his persistance to be difficult.

"We're almost there." She said.

As they stepped out of the car, they were greeted by a chilly breeze. Hermione walked around to the front of the car to meet Ron. She crossed her arms and shivered a bit. Ron quickly removed his coat and put it around her shoulders. She smiled up at him, "Thank you, Ronald." He smiled back and put his arm around her waist.

They walked down the beach and to the water's edge, looking out over the ocean. The waves crashing onto the shoreline, the sea birds flying over their heads. Everything felt perfect. It felt peaceful. Hermione kicked off her shoes and rolled her pants up. "What are you doing?" Ron asked. She walked forward a bit and stepped in the line of the waves, letting the water lap at her feet. Ron copied her, and joined her in the water.

"My mother, father, and I used to do this." Hermione said smiling. "When the waves come in, they grab the sand, and pull it back into the ocean, and your feet sink." She said looking up at Ron.

He was smiling at her. "Watch!" She said, as another wave came in. Wave after wave, and it got noticable. You couldn't see their feet anymore, the sand was nearly up to their ankles.

"Hermione?" Ron asked looking down at her and smiling.

"Yes?" She asked looking up at him, the sun making his brilliant red hair burn like fire.

"I love you." A blush crept onto her cheeks.

"I love you, too." Ron leaned down and kissed her.

Hermione never thought she would be this girl. The girl who was with the man she loved, on the beach, with nothing but the waves as their music and the wind carressing their faces, and the sun setting in the background. It was as if the world was gone, completely faded away, and the only thing there, was them, and this moment. And she wouldn't have it any other way.

Ron and Hermione ;; "Spider In The Bathroom."
Set ;; Sometime in the future

Hermione walked into her kitchen, and began breakfast. She was making Ron's favorite. After getting the food on the stove and cooking, she began to set the small kitchen table when she heard a crash coming from their bathroom, and then, "Hermione!" She dropped what she was doing and took off down the hallway towards Ron.

"What? What is it?" She called out as she arrived in the  doorway to see Ron standing on the side of the bath tub, still clutching his toothbrush, and staring in horror at the floor. Hermione looked down and tried very hard not to laugh at the whole scene. A spider, about the size of Hermione's hand, was on the floor. She brought her hand to her mouth to try and hide her amusement. Her eyes met Ron's and the look of fear on his face was still priceless. She pulled out her wand, and leviated the spider, she opened the small bathroom window and lowered the spider into the yard. Closing the window she turned to Ron who was slowly climbing down from his 'hiding spot.'

"S'ry." He mumbled. Hermione noticed a speck of peppermint toothpaste on the side of his mouth, she made her way to him and gently wiped it away.

"Ronald Weasley. My brave knight." She smiled up at him and planted a small kiss on his lips. "I'll see you in the kitchen."

I have a couple friends who are Dramione shippers! I'm a hardcore Ron/Hermione shipper, myself. :) I am just one of those who could really never see Draco and Hermione...I could see Draco loving her, but her not loving him back, which is tragically romantic in itself, but yeah. I think Dramione shippers are super creative, so kudos to you my dear! I've seen some pretty stuff on them. :) And thank you for your compliment!!! :D

Most Dramione is unrequited. ^^' haha I enjoy keeping my Harry Potter fics canon. Ron and Hermione are perfect together, though I never pictured Harry and Ginny. :/ Just my personal opinion.

See, in the books, I'm hardcore Harry and Ginny. In the movies? Harry and Luna ALL the way. Although I do love me some Neville and Luna, I shipped them from the fifth book. :)

I wrote this because I hated the goodbye Ron and Harry had as Harry left for the forest in the movie. The directors butchered their friendship. So I wanted to write something as my own little interpreation.

"And I think you have too."
"I'll go with you." Hermione's voice quivered. Ron's mind drifted as the reality of the situation hit him like a brick wall. Harry was going out to the forest, and he didn't intend on coming back alive. Ron thought of any alternative. Anyway that maybe he could take his place. Maybe they could come up with a side-road, as they've done for the past 7 years. They've always figured out ways to accomplish things, so why not find another way here? Why does this time have to involve the casualty of his best friend?
Hermione was hugging him now. Ron watched as Harry's eyes drifted up towards his. Ron wanted to say something, anything, but his voice wasn't working. Harry turned to walk down the steps, Ron and Hermione watched him walk all the way down, until he was out of sight. Ron just stared at the empty stairwell, thinking maybe Harry would come running back, maybe he thought of something they hadn't tried yet, maybe he was joking. Yeah, maybe this was all some big laugh and everything will be okay. But a voice inside Ron told him this was the only way. Harry had to die.
"No." Ron managed.
Hermione turned towards him, tears still streaking down her face. "What?"
"No.'' He said again, and began walking down the stairs.
''Ron, where are you going?'' He heard her soft footsteps following him.
''He's not going, I won't let him.''
''Ron!'' Hermione quickened her pace until she was in front of him, but Ron ignored her, and tried to go around her. She pushed on his shoulders. ''Ron, he has to go!''
''How can you say that? How can you just let him walk away like this? You might be able to let him, but I can't. I won't.'' He tried to push past her again but she put her hands on his either side of his face.
''Ron,'' She whispered. Her eyes locked with his, and his own despair was mirrored back. He watched as tears fell from her eyes.
''I can't let him I can't.'' He whispered and felt tears threatening to fall from his eyes.
''I know, I know.'' Hermione whispered. But we have too.
Ron felt his breath catch in his throat. ''Why?'' The question was so innocent. Like a child asking his mother why things happened the way they do.
''Because he asked us too.'' She took the sleeve of her jacket and began wiping the dirt away from his face.
Why would someone ask their friends to let them die? Why would someone want to die? Why would anyone want to die? Why did Harry have to be so selfless? Why, why, why. That was all that was swimming through his head, and he couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't be strong for her anymore. He couldn't do it. This was too much. He clamped his eyes shut, but the tears came anyway. He broke into sobbing, and he couldn't hold himself up anymore. His knees grew weak, and he fell onto the step. '''Mione, he can't die.'' He managed to get out. She knelt in front of him, pushing his hair back from his forehead like his mum used to do when he was ill or upset. He watched as her own tears fell into her lap. ''He can't die.'' He said again. He sounded pitiful; his voice was thick with tears.
Hermione wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him into her. She didn't say a word, she just held onto him, as he cried into her.
He didn't get to tell Harry anything. How much Ron really cared for him. How much Ron appreciated everything he did. How much Harry meant to him. How much he truly loved him.
Hermione pulled away slightly, and cupped her hands around his face. Ron looked up ever so slightly, and her lips met his again. This was different than the one in the chamber. This one had every bit of passion and fear they felt right at this moment. Their tears kept flowing, and it was difficult to say whose was whose, they were so close. So lost in this one moment of losing their best friend, they were one. She pulled away, and wiped his tears away.
''Harry left us with a job Ron. We have to kill the snake.''
''I can't.''
''Yes, you can.''
She believed in him. Even after he crumbled before her. She still believed in him. And he knew Harry did too. Kill the snake. That's what he left them with. He picked up the Basilisk fang from the stair, and stood up. Hermione stood with him, a strand of her hair fell into her beautiful tear stained face. He gently tucked it behind her ear, and then held up the fang. ''For Harry.'' He said.
''For Harry.'' She replied, her voice still held a slight quiver, but a smile caressed her lips. They turned, hand in hand, and began their search for the snake.

Two Worlds

I live in a world of fantasy. My thoughts, my dreams, my words, all consist of what isn't real. What isn't true. My life is a made up story. A world that only I can see the beauty of. A world no one else would understand. Sometimes its difficult to tell reality from fiction. True from false. Actual and fantasy. Its all still in my head. Like Alice in Wonderland. The way her two worlds clash. Characters from both worlds colliding into each other in a beautiful symphonic manner. The way a piano and a violin mesh so well. Bits of both worlds swirl around me everyday. Clashing together. What one person sees as crazy, as a mess, I see as beautiful. Perfect. Because its my world. My place. My reality. A place where nothing can harm me, no one can leave me. Because it all happens in my head. But when something happens, and the wires get a little loose, my world begins to fade. Instead of the bright green trees, and the beautiful flowers, they are replaced by burnt leafless trees, and brown barren ground, with wilted roses. A scene that shows a place where there was once beauty. Once a place of sweet harmony. A place of sanctity. A place that is now cold, dark, and ugly. There are no birds, no bright green trees, no color. A place that curses the very essence of beauty because it knows none. A place of loneliness. A place that if you were to call it home, you wouldn't be normal. But are these worlds very different? A place where there is beauty beyond compare could be looked at by one and be called dreadful. One could look and see past the bright skies, the blue water, the green trees. And still see the scars that history has set upon it. They could see only the scratches in the tree from where a cat had stretched itself and flexed its claws. They could only see the ripped up patches of grass where an animal had buried something. They could only see the uneven patches of grass where some great beast had rested the night before. They could only see the small discoloration of water where algae is starting to form. And while that one person looks upon what others see as beauty, another could look upon the scene where there is no color, where the water has completely dried up, where all of the flowers are dead, wilted, and gone. The only colors are blacks and grays, and what everyone else sees as a horrid sight, one sees it as a beautiful masterpiece. They could see the beginning of growth in a new flower, knowing the roses that are now dead and gone, have left behind seeds to grow again. They could see the hole where a pond had once been, be refilled again by the next rainfall. They could see the tree, that still has the strength to withstand another day, begin to replenish, and begin to sprout leaves again. They could see the dead and barren ground, begin to fill with a marvelous color of green once more. All they had to do, was look.
