Ok...I think I'm gonna just post it here. Here we go: ---
Name: Warriors Author: Erin Hunter Type: Fantasy Fiction Age: Range: 8-16 years old
Plot: Follow cats that live in the four clans of the forest: Thunderclan, Windclan, Shadowclan, and Riverclan as they rely on themselves and the power of their warrior ancestors in Starclan. Starclan grants a leader 9 lives and each clan has only one. Everyone has a place. There are many, including: Kits and queens, apprentices, warriors (there are also senior warriors), deputy, leader, elders, and the medicine cat. Medicine cats have an ability that when they dream they might have a vision from Starclan. It is rare, but even warriors and apprentices do too.
First book thoughts; Into The Wild: Warriors Into the Wild is a must read! From Erin Hunter, one of America's most stunning authors, comes an amazing series of stories. Follow Rusty as he finds out what it means to be a true warrior and to follow your heart. With amazing imagery and description, this book is a must have for all of those animal lovers who always wanted to know what cats do in their spare time. When I first picked up this book I thought, hey I need something to read until the next book in the Eragon trilogy comes out. After the first chapter I was hooked. Erin Hunter has a way with words that leaves you wanting more. I suggest that all of you that haven't read this book had better read it and follow Rusty as he journeys with Thunderclan on the path of a true warrior.
Final thoughts on the series: The warriors saga is a MUST read. Within the first chapter of every book you are hooked. Watch kittypets grow into mighty warriors and small apprentices find the strength to unite for the good of all, and with others even when it is not the full-moon truce. Believe as the cats put their faith into Starclan. And imagine the feel of your whiskers against the wind, your fur against the trees, and the smell of a fresh mouse. ---
Name: The Warriors Series Author: Erin Hunter (Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Victoria Holmes) Type: Large Series Age Range: Unlimited!
Plot: These books are about four Clans of cats who have lived in the forest for many years: RiverClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, and ThunderClan. They are guided by their warrior ancestors, those who have passed away and live in the stars, known as StarClan. These four Clans run into many hardships as the series progresses, but with the strength each Clan possesses, they still stand strong. But can these four Clans live through everything? And if StarClan, their wise warrior ancestors, can't stop it, who can?
First Thoughts on Into the Wild: The first book of the series Warriors, Into the Wild makes you feel as if you were dashing alongside Rusty, a human pet, as he becomes part of ThunderClan in the forest. Earning his apprentice name, Firepaw, by his flame-colored pelt, his new life is amazing. He is free to gallop through the forest, mew with his new Clan friends, and eat fresh prey instead of those disgusting "Twoleg" pellets. However, Clan life is not always perfect. Firepaw discovers that Tigerclaw, the new deputy, murdered Redtail to clear the way for his leadership. Firepaw's life is about to get very difficult. Can Firepaw reveal Tigerclaw's terrible secret - or will his quest be fatal?
Thoughts on all the Warrior Books: I love Warriors! Warriors was a very good series and, most likely, can appeal to all readers. When Fireheart, as a new warrior, ventures into difficult times, he and his Clan can almost always make it through. With different prophecies, readers will enjoy the different vantage points. Warriors is a memorable experience for all readers!
