I'm soo glad you like it!! Yeah, he's a poop head! And even though he was never alive in the series, I've always hated him. I'm glad I could convince you to hate him, too! wink.gif

RE: Rainpelt's Random Stories -- *new Ravenpaw fanfiction*

"Ravenpaw!"  Barley's voice echoed in the barn.

The black tom poked his head out of his nest made of hay.  "What is it, Barley?"

Barley leapt up onto the raised floor and sat down in front of Ravenpaw.  "Did you knock down the fence post by the meadow?"

Ravenpaws ears perked.  "No, I haven't been anywhere near it."

Barley nodded.  "I didn't think so."  He looked up at the younger tom.  "I think we've got a rogue on our paws."

Ravenpaw rolled his eyes and let out a sigh.  "Great, just what we need."

The black and white loner chuckled.  "Well, well just have to stay out of their way and hope they don't enjoy staying here for much longer."

Ravenpaw slid through the long grass, his ears perked, alert for any crossing prey.  Suddenly, a cracking twig caught his attention.  He began to stalk in the direction of the noise, his claws sheathed, ready to pounce.  His muscles tensed as the source of the noise grew closer.  He bared his teeth into a menacing smile, dropped into a hunter's crouch, and sprang.

"Hey, what the--?"  Ravenpaw jumped as he realized his prey had just spoken.  He leapt off and saw the dark pelt of a tabby.  She whipped around to face him, her fur bristling.  "What was that about?" she hissed.

Ravenpaw looked at his paws.  "Sorry, I-I thought you were a mouse," he admitted embarrassed.

He glanced up and saw the she-cat's whiskers twitch with amusement.  "A mouse?" she mewed, pressing her lips together to control her smile.  His black fur bristled and he turned his back on her and headed back to the barn.  The tabby raced after him.  "Hey, I'm sorry," she apologized, the smile still apparent on her face.

"Yeah, sure."  Ravenpaw looked away from the she-cat.

She smiled wider.  "No, I really am.  It wasn't nice to laugh."  She looked at him wryly.  "But you have to admit, it was funny!"

"No it wasn't..." Ravenpaw growled.

The tabby she-cat sighed.  "Well, apparently I'm not going to get anywhere with you.  I guess I'll just get going."  She turned away from the black loner and began to make her way through the tall grass, flicking her tail in farewell.

"Good riddance," Ravenpaw muttered and took off toward the barn.

"So, what, she just started laughing at you?"  Barley asked, walking beside his companion through the grass beside the Twoleg nest.

"Yeah."  Ravenpaw flattened his ears, remembering the pretty tabby.

Barley watched him curiously.  "What did you do?"

Ravenpaw looked straight down.  "I-I sort of...hunted her."

The black and white tom halted.  "You hunted her?"  A wide grin stretched across his face.

Ravenpaw sighed.  "Yes.  I hunted her."

Barley opened his mouth to reply, but was cut off by a horrified yowl.  He looked at Ravenpaw, his eyes clouded with concern.  The two toms raced off toward the yowl.  As they got closer, Ravenpaw could hear barking and growls of a dog.  He skidded to a stop when he saw the tabby she-cat in the middle of two large dogs.  Her fur was puffed out, making her look twice her size, and her teeth were bared in a menacing snarl.

His heart lurched as one of the beasts sprang at her.  Without thinking, he raced toward the dog and sank his teeth into his back leg.  The large creature let out a deafening howl and spun around to face his attacker.  It towered over Ravenpaw, foam seeping from his jaws.  Ravenpaw prepared himself for the dog's attack when he saw a blur of brown fur launch at the dog's throat.

The tabby she-cat sank her teeth into the animal's flank, causing it to squirm in agony.  She bit down hard once more and then released it, leaving it to run off, his companion close on its heels.

Barley raced to Ravenpaw's side, his flank bleeding from apparently battling with the other dog.  "Are you okay?" he panted.

Ravenpaw nodded.  "Yes, I'm fine."  He looked up at the tabby, noting that her eyes were clouded with worry.  "Thank you."

"Don't mention it," she mewed.  "You saved me first."

Barley rested his tail on her shoulder.  "I don't know how to thank you for saving him."

She smiled.  "Really, it was nothing."  She gave her chest a few swift licks.

"Will you come back to the barn with us?" Barley offered.  "The least we can do is provide you with a meal."

The she-cat looked down nervously, obviously thinking the offer over.  She glance back up at them swiftly.  "I'd like that."

The she-cat rolled onto her side, a deep purr rumbling from her chest.  "Thank you for the meal.  I had forgotten what it felt like to be well-fed."  She began to wash her paws.

"You're not used to eating well?" Ravenpaw asked, tilting his head in curiosity.

"No, the leader I lived under doesn't exactly believe in sharing."

Barley perked his ears.  "Leader?"  He sat up, suddenly interested in the conversation.  "Who was your leader?"

The she-cat looked down at her paws.  "His name was Scourge."  Ravenpaw felt Barley's fur bristle.  He rested the tip of his tail on the older tom's shoulder to calm him down.  The she-cat didn't seem to notice.  "You'd think he'd have compassion for...for family.  But..." She closed her eyes, but Ravenpaw could sense the tears threatening to leak out.

He scooted closer to her and wrapped his tail around her protectively.  "Hush, it's alright."  The she-cat buried her face in his black fur.

"I-I'm sorry," she whispered.  "I shouldn't be burdening you with my problems."

Barley stood up.  "Don't be ridiculous," he mewed softly.

"Barley's right," Ravenpaw purred.  "We care about you."

The she-cat flinched.  "How can you care about me?" she growled.  "You don't know me.  You don't even know my name."

Ravenpaw smiled slightly.  "Well," he purred, "what is your name?"

He felt the she-cat tense slightly.  "Night," she mewed finally.

Ravenpaw tightened his tail around her.  "Well, now we know you."

Night laughed weakly and looked up at the black tom.  Her eyes were warm, still filled with tears.  "I've never had anyone care about me.  Ever."  She smiled slightly.  "Thank you."

"Don't mention it."  He rested his chin on her head, breathing in her sweet scent while Night pressed her cheek to his chest.  Ravenpaw stroked her back soothingly.  "I promise, nothing's ever going to hurt you.  Not while Im around."

Authors Note:  This is pretty much about Ravenpaw and Scourge's daughter.  I know it never said he had a daughter in the series, but I just made one up for the sake of the fanfic.  And yes, I did take the last lines from Sweeney Todd; so sue me! =]

Aww, so cute!

btw, I think you should write about Cherrytail and Leafstar going to go meet the clan cats. Or Cinderpaw.

Flamepelt: Yeah, I love Echosong, so I'll probably end up doing one about her soon. nod.gif
Goldheart: I think so too! One thing I don't get about that idea is, why would Cherrytail go? I can understand Leafstar or Sharpclaw or even Echosong going, since their the leader, deputy, and meddie cat, but why Cherrytail?

The sharp claws ripped at my soft pelt.  "Father!" I cried, writhing in pain.  I tried to plead for him to stop, but the small, black tom just continued to dig his claws into my small, fragile body.

He whipped around to the brown she-cat that glowered down upon me, her eyes dark and cold.  "It is time, Twig."  The tom's vicious voice was soft and menacing.

Frost nodded and glared down upon me, he lips curled over her teeth into a menacing snarl.  I glanced up at her, pleadingly.  "M-mother..." I whimpered.

She swiped at me with her unsheathed claws, causing another yelp of pain to escape my mouth.  The brown she-cat sunk her teeth into my flank and threw me out of the warm shelter.  "Get out!" she hissed and turned her tail on me and bounded away.

I pushed myself to my paws, and looked up at the cat I had known as my father.  Tears threatened to fall from my eyes, but I forced them away.  I unsheathed my claws and stared defiantly at the black tom.  To my surprise, he didnt look at all taken back.  Instead, a cruel smile stretched across his face.

"Impressive, my kit," he mewed in a velvety voice.  "That strength could be very useful to me."  He padded slowly toward me, obviously expecting me to back away.  But I stood my ground, still glaring at him.  The black cat chuckled.  "Yes, yes...very nice."  He looked straight into my hard gaze.  "Come."  His voice didn't sound like the offer was a request, but an order.

Stiffly, I followed my father.  His name was Scourge.  He told me all about the clan we lived in; BloodClan he called it, and how it was our job to keep the weaker cats in their place.  He was the leader, and his second in command was named Bone.  I listened intently, fascinated by this new life; the life that was now mine.

When we reached the large den that I assumed belonged to Scourge, the black tom turned to me.  "So?" he mewed, his eyes icy and yet somehow welcoming.

I took in a deep breath and looked around.  This life would be wonderful, being at the top.  And right in command with my father!  The BloodClan leader obviously believed I was right for the job; probably because I was his kin, although I had just left my mother.  Scourge must have felt my hesitance because he lightly rested his tail on my shoulder.  "You are my daughter.  You have the makings of a great leaderyou must use it for the good of your clan."  His silver eyes burned into my pelt.

I looked at him squarely and nodded.  He smiled wickedly and nodded in approval.  Beckoning me with his tail, he led me into the den.  I hesitated.  Part of me was thrilled to have such a powerful position; but deep down, I felt a strange throbbing in my heart.  Shaking away my doubt, I padded after him, my tail held high.

The small tom cowered below me.  A wicked smile spread across my face, as I growled in approval.  I lifted my unsheathed paw, my claws extended with those of pathetic hounds who had gotten in my clans way.  "Please..." the hopeless cat cried, his fur standing on end with fear.

"Go on, Night," growled Bone encouragingly.  I glanced over my shoulder, smiling at the handsome black and white tom.  Growling menacingly, I whipped around and sliced the toms flank open with one quick blow.  My spirits leapt as I heard him yowl in agony.  He looked back up at me, tears flooding his eyes.  Pathetic weakling, I thought bitterly.

I pressed my paw to the tom's throat, smiling.  He let out a sharp gasp as he realized his fate and I dug the sharp claws deep into his neck.  The blood seeped out of the wound and I sniffed at the dying cat with disgust.

Bone bounded up to me.  "Well done," he purred approvingly.  "Scourge will be happy about this."  He rested the tip of his tail on my shoulder, causing my heart to flutter.  "C'mon," he mewed, winking at me.  "Let's go.  I'm sure there's plenty of fresh-kill waiting to be eaten."

We padded side by side, his tail occasionally entwining with mine.  His addictive scent wafted around me, making my head spin.  As we neared the den, he stopped me.  "Night," he sighed, his eyes warm.  "You have grown into a fine she-cat."  He wrapped his tail around me, pulling me even closer.  I smiled, admiring the toned muscles flexing under his glossy pelt.

I looked around, making sure there were no witnesses.  He laughed softly.  "Don't worry, love," he purred.  "I have spoken to Scourge, and he says he approves of us mating."  He stood up so he towered over me and wrapped one paw around my back.  "Let's go for it," he whispered with his muzzle to my ear.

A shiver shot down my spine.  I looked into deep green eyes and sighed.  No cat could deny that Bone wasnt the brightest star in the sky, but somehow, that didnt matter to me.  The fact that he was only a little younger than my own father didnt bother me, either.  And it didn't seem to bother him, either.

I rested my head on his chest and breathed in his scent.  A deep purr arose in his chest.  The muscular tom touched his muzzle to my ear and breathed, "Lets go somewhere moreprivate."  He twined his tail with mine and led me out of Twolegplace.

We stopped in some soft grass, far past the BloodClan territory.  Bone curled himself around me and began to lick my neck passionately.  I sighed happily.  Nothing could ruin this moment, I thought.  A purr erupted in my chest and I turned to lick him on the cheek.

He pulled me closer so his hot breath blew on my cheek.  "Dont worry," he whispered.  "I'll try not to hurt you."

I tried to look at him and question what he meant when suddenly I felt a sharp pain shoot through my body and the world went black.

I pried my eyes open, and my head spun uncomfortably.  "Uhhh..." I groaned and swept my tail around to touch Bone when I noticed his warm pelt wasnt beside me.  "Bone?"  Gathering my senses, I tried to push myself to my paws, only to crash to the ground in pain.  I whimpered quietly, not wanting anyone to see me so vulnerable.  What's wrong with you, you pitiful kit?  I hissed to myself.

Suddenly, I smelled the familiar scent of blood.  I looked down and saw a puddle of blood around me.  "What?" I gasped, backing away from the pool of red liquid, wincing when I moved too quickly.  I looked at my back and saw my pelt torn and covered in gore.  My head spun with confusion and panic.  What could have happened to me while I was asleep?  They must have gotten Bone because...

Then it hit me.  Bone!  The cruel, worthless excuse for a cat.  I hissed in spite of myself.  How could I have been so stupid?  I actually believed that cold-blooded vulture loved me!  Not caring anymore, I allowed the warm tears to flow down my face.  I curled up, covering my eyes with my tail in shame.  How could I ever go back?  I asked myself. I can'the'll only do it again.  With Scourge's permission, I thought bitterly.  Without meaning to, I decided then and there, I would never set paw on BloodClan ground again.

This is chapter 2 of my RavenpawxNight fanfic. This is from Night's POV, telling about her life in BloodClan and why she decided to leave. I sort of imagined this as her telling Ravenpaw and Barley about why she left her clan. Enjoy!
