Erin Hunter sent me an email saying she'd be interviewed! I sent her questions last night and she replied this morning!
So an Erin Hunter interview is on the way!

For this IMO, many users PMed me an answer to this question: If you could send a Valentine to any Warrior cat, which one would it be? Your Valentine card can be a friend valentine or a love valentine, depending on which cat you choose. ;D  And guess what? I didnt have to PM any of these people! They sent in these on their own! Anyways, here are their answers! 

Goldheart:I would send a valentine to Firestar. I love him to death! He is such a great leader and I adore him! I LOVE YOU FIRESTAR!!! *screams at the top of her lungs*

Flamepelt: I would send it to Leafpool! Cuz' she is the most awesomest cat! WHOOT! 

Pantherpaw: I'd send one to Firestar as a friend valentine he ROX!!!!!! 

Scarclaw: I can't pick. I think I'd just send one to everybody. ^-^ 

The next IMO: Whats a new idea for TFCG? Possibly a new fun segment or section that you come up with? Send your thoughts to Moonstar, and your answer most likely will appear in the next issue! It may even turn into a real segment/section! Please do not post your answer, PM it to me. ^_-  

Erin Hunter Interview! 

Yes, this is not a lie. Victoria Holmes, who comes up with the ideas for Warriors, responded to my request for a short interview! She said they usually dont take interviews from fans because theyre too preoccupied with writing the books, but my letter was so sympathetic and charming shed do it. Hey, Ive got smooth moves. :)Anyway, heres the highly anticipated ERIN HUNTER INTERVIEW! 

TFCG: Surely these brilliant ideas must come from somewhere. What inspires all these amazing events in this series?

Victoria: The easy answer to this is, my twisted imagination! Ive always been very curious about how and why people act the way they do, so its great to have a chance to explore human behavior in the shape of cats. There are some things that are very important to me, like what it means to be a parent, and what it feels like to be the new kid at school, so these often become major themes in the stories. Im also very interested in faith and spirituality; I invented the Tribe of Rushing Water to explore how the Clan cats would react to encountering a different way of communicating with ancestors. But not all the action comes from such intense beginnings. Quite often, I just figure out what would make a good story. Hence all the doomed romance, thrilling battles, and mystic messages from StarClan. Simple! 

TFCG: What can you say about some of the new releases?  

Victoria: Hmmm. Well, theyre AWESOME, of course! Power of Three Book Three: Outcast (out on April 21, I think) takes us back to the mountains to help the Tribe of Rushing Water with their latest crisis and the three apprentices, Lion, Holly and Jay, are forced to consider whether the warrior code is right for all cats, or just the Clans. Oh, and Lionpaw gets the first hint of his special power The other Erin Hunter title launching this Spring (May 5) is Seekers Book One: The Quest Begins, which is the start of our series about four North American bears embarking on the journey of their lives to discover what it truly means to be wild. Weve had so much fun working on this series (were on Book Three right now), and cant wait to hear what you think of it. In some ways it was easier to write than Warriors because the cast list is much, much smaller (no problems with bears dying in one book and reappearing in the next!), but in other ways it was more difficult because we dont know as much about bears as we do about cats! Thank goodness for Discovery Channel. :) 

TFCG: Firestars Quest was an extremely popular book, and SkyClan is now adored by every reader. And after reading Ask Erin Hunter online, I have a strong feeling that you, Cherith, and Kate also had a hard time letting go of them. Being the ideas person, have you been thinking of ways to give SkyClan an appearance in future books (or its own mini-series) so you get to read about them again? 

Victoria: Youre absolutely right, we loved SkyClan (and I loved all the names I came up with even more!), so they WILL be coming back in a Special Edition, like Firestars Quest, in Summer 2010. Were going to return to the gorge after Firestar and Sandstorm left to find out how the new Clan coped, and what challenges they faced while they were still becoming established. Next Summer, in 2009, there will be a Special Edition about Bluestars life before Rusty came to the forest. We love doing the Special Editions and non-fiction titles (like Secrets of the Clans and Cats of the Clans which is out this Summer) because it gives us a chance to find out what happens around the main series. Those cats are busy! 

TFCG: Just as a fun question, who is your favorite character in the series and why? 

Victoria: My favorite character to write about is Brambleclaw because hes totally shades of gray even I dont know if hes good or evil! Hes such a complex cat who keeps trying to do the right thing, but cant shake off the legacy of his father, Tigerstar. The cat Id most like to be is Cinderpelt, because she was such a fabulous character. She was strong, clever, humble, dignified and had a great sense of humor as well as a sharp tongue! I have a lot of admiration for the way she lived her life in spite of not being able to achieve her biggest dreams which were becoming a warrior and being Firestars mate. You did know she was crazily in love with Firestar all her life, didnt you? :)  

TFCG: Here is a question from Scarclaw in ShadowClan:

The whole Cinderpelt coming back as Cinderpaw thing is cool and all. Have you considered doing that with another character? 

Victoria: Hi Scarclaw. I love your name. Do you have a scar on your pelt, or do your claws leave scars? Thanks for saying you like Cinderpelts return. I know its been very controversial, but on the whole Im thrilled with the way its working out. Cinderpelt didnt live the life she truly wanted, so I thought StarClan would be prepared to give her another chance but at the same time, Cinderpaw needs to live her own life, which is something Jaypaw knows but Leafpool sometimes forgets. I dont have any regrets about bringing Cinderpelt back, but I wont do it with another character because I think it would be less special a second time around. 

TFCG: And the last question if from Flamepelt in ShadowClan:If one clan had to leave like SkyClan, which one would it be? 

Victoria: Hi Flamepelt, nice to meet you. I dont think ANY Clans could leave the forest now. When SkyClan left, it changed the forest in many, many ways (which Id like to explore in future books!). Even StarClan had to reinvent history and convince themselves that there were only supposed to be four Clans in the forest (You mean SkyClan had to leave because there werent enough trees?!). The four Clans have created a balance between them to hide the gap left by SkyClan, but I dont think that could happen again. Besides, Firestar knows about SkyClan again, and how dreadfully they suffered as a result of being driven out, so he would go to great lengths to avoid losing another Clan.

Dear Cinderpelt,
Say I was in a fight with a friend.... Ok I was. But anyway, so she's always so rude to me because she wants to be... Well, she acting like she's trying to be popular, I've tried writing her a note that things weren't working out so great. That turned out horribly. And now my old friends and I are a back-up set of friends for her! What do I do?

Dear Caring and Concerned,
It seems like your friend is a very stubborn person. Maybe try to isolate you and your other friends from her. Maybe the cold shoulder just might snap her out of this phase. It will probably be tough doing the cold shoulder but give a try, though it may not be the best course of action. But it seems as if you have tried everything else.
