The Four Clans Gazette ---Issue 22 Welcome: Tawnypaw, who used to be Graypaw (one of the first ThunderClan cats to join), is now back! Welcome back! Congrats: Florestadream and Lily have taken the moderator spots of Stormfur and Rain! Grovepaw, Ebonyclouds sister, has also become a warrior as Grovewind! Congrats guys! IMO For this IMO, many users PMed me an answer to this question: Which Warriors cat do you think you most resemble and why? Here are their answers! Tree: I think I resemble Sandstorm because she is sharp and quick but loving when it comes to someone she cares about. Flame: Kk, I think I most resemble.....Leafpool! Cuz she is awesome! She is very loving and stuff like that :) dont you love my meaningful answer? Sun: I think I most resemble Cinderpelt because when things get in my way, I just keep trying to accomplish my dreams, and I try not to let anything bring me down for very long. In the living characters, though, (well, since Cinderpelt is technically living, but she's Cinderheart now, but she still didnt let her hurt leg from when she fell get in her way) I'm most like Squirrelflight, because I'm very strong-willed. Rosestar: I'd say Sandstorm, because she's shy like I am, always known as a sort of 'sidekick' for Firestar. She encourages and inspires him, and is a caring cat when it comes to her kin-although she can be jealous and defensive when the pretty former meddie cat is mentioned. However, she is fiercely loyal when it comes to her Clan, and would do anything to protect those she loves. Florestadream: I guess... Firestar. He took giant leaps and defied what everyone else said. That's pretty much how I am. And he made stupid mistakes, and has odd moments, serious moments, and those odd yet funny moments. That's pretty much me in a nutshell... If I was a guy. xD But he joined ThunderClan and tried new things, learned new ways. I may not be as inviting to other's ways, but personality wise, I'm very much like Firestar. And yes, I can be that controlling and hair-brained. The next IMO: What if StarClan told you that you had an option to join SkyClan? Would you do it? If so, why? If not, why? Send your thoughts to Moonstar, and your answer most likely will appear in the next issue! Please do not post your answer, PM it to me. ^_- User Interview! TFCG: So, Sky. Your old name was June; you are a former rogue, and member of ShadowClan, and I correct? What's with all the switches? Sky: Well, Yes, my old name was June, and I never got used to being a rouge, being alone like that. So, that is why I joined the Tribe. TFCG: Why not go back to ShadowClan? Do you know why your paws led you to the mountains? Sky: The fresh mountain air and the smooth ground under my paws.... TFCG: Beautiful. How is the tribe different than your past lives? Sky: Well I love being in the mountains, It makes me feel like home. The Tribe is different from my past lives because I am a to-be. It makes a whole worlds difference. TFCG: Yes, but how is being a to-be different from an apprentice in the clans? How is the learning different? Are you allowed more or less freedom? Sky: It's different because I am supposed to be a prey-hunter or a cave-guard. A cave-guard protects the tribe and goes with the prey-hunters to protect them from the falcons and the prey-hunters hunt for food. The learning is different because I have to specify in one subject, like prey-hunting or cave-guarding. And, freedom... I think I have less. TFCG: Thank you for your time, Sky. I hope you find your true home in the tribe. =3 Sky: Youre welcome * pads away *
Fan Mail! Dear TFCG, OMG! I love the four clans gazette moony/snow! I am glad you are trying to revive it! THE FOUR CLANS GAZETTE WILL LIVE FOREVER! :) <3, Flame(pelt) Dear TFCG, I love TFCG because it's entertaining, has the most recent warrior news, funny comics, good advice, and great poems and stories! From, Sun Ask Cinderpelt! Dear Cinderpelt, I guess I have this.... Love square, triangle, rhombus thing going on at school. I have this best friend, and apparently he likes me, but I don't exactly like him the same way, and then there's ANOTHER guy that I like that is like a brother to me (a calm one, to be exact). And then there's the annoying one I sit next t in French class that has his good days and bad; by that I mean, he can be sweet and funny sometimes, but other times we get into these huge arguments that makes no sense. My teacher never notices. But, I digress. So... I guess I'm interpreting things wrong here, but, *Knock on wood* apparently all of them like me. And to tell you the truth, I interpret things wrong a lot. xD From, Confused and Annoyed
Dear Confused and Annoyed, It sounds to me like you have gotten yourself in to an odd situation. Well perhaps you are misinterpreting things but then maybe you arent. I am not very good at this sort of thing but I am here to help. Anyway, there is no sense in leading them on, though I am quite sure you arent. If any of them really like then in their own time they will ask you on a date or something like that. If they dont then they wont. As for now the only thing you can do is just continue the way you have. If you ever develop feelings for any of them then that would make things a bit easier I suppose. For now just let things go as they have and if any of them gathers up the courage to ask you out then tell them how you really feel. If you like them, go out with them, if you dont, then dont. I dont mean like as in a friendly way but as in a romantic way. For now just wait and see. If you have trouble turning down guys, just remember to be firm, but gentle. Something such as, "Thanks for asking, James. Im really flattered, but Id rather we just be friends." should work. NEVER laugh about this boys proposal with your friend- he was brave enough to ask, and thats the important part. If he continues to pester you about your answer, you should be more firm about it. "Stop bugging me. Ive already told you no, and you should respect that. If you cant, I'll need to bring an adult into this." I hope this has helped in any way. Always concerned, Cinderpelt
Pawsome Holidays By Sun
Today, the reporters of TFCG investigate Warrior holidays. Around Leaf-bare is when holidays are for Two-legs, but what about for the Clan cats? Do they have holidays? TFCG investigates! Our holidays are usually celebrated based on what religion we are, but in the Clans, they believe in StarClan. But there are a few who don't, like Cloudtail, Firestar's nephew. Yet, he still follows all Clan traditions. When celebrating StarClan, Cloudtail doesn't show this much, though, and he still participates in traditions like that. This could mean, like Two-legs, the Clan cats celebrate holidays based on their religious beliefs. However, it could also mean that the Clan cats' holidays might not be based on their beliefs; it could just be based on traditions celebrating Clan life. Before we narrow down whether their holidays are religious or not, first we're going to look at the holidays they have. Clan holidays are usually Gatherings, ceremonies, and visits to the Moonpool. Sometimes, though, they're holidays are only celebrated within a very small group of cats. For example, warrior ceremonies are celebrated in a whole Clan, and also told to all the other Clans at Gatherings, but Medicine cat ceremonies are only held within the medicine cats at Moonpool, therefore usually only about four or five cats celebrate. All these ceremonies usually have something to do with StarClan. Moonpool visits are the most connected to StarClan the most strongly. Ceremonies are the least, but the Clan leader or Medicine cat summons StarClan to look down upon the cats being celebrated. Gatherings are celebrating the Clans, but they also have Gatherings because they believe that the full moon is created by StarClan, giving the Clans a chance every moon (month) to get along in peace. It is said that if they do not, clouds will cover the full moon. However, Moonpool visits are tied directly to StarClan. Medicine cats go there to connect and talk to StarClan and leaders go to get their nine lives, acceptance, and also talk to StarClan when they feel is needed. So the Clans, like us, have scheduled holidays, like Gatherings and medicine cat trips to the Moonpool, but unlike Two-legs, they have unscheduled ones like ceremonies. However, all of them are tied to StarClan in some way. They don't celebrate Christmas or anything like we do, but they do celebrate holidays tied to their religion.

Bluekit: The Early Days By Sun
Bluekit got up and stretched. Suddenly, something crashed into her, and she tumbled out of the den. She got up to her paws and shook the dirt from her pelt. She looked around her, then saw her sister, Snowkit, in the entrance to the den, getting ready to leap at Bluekit playfully. Bluekit jumped out of the way quickly, and Snowkit landed on the earth where she'd just been. While Snowkit got to her paws, dazed, Bluekit leaped on her and they tumbled around the middle of the camp. They were currently the oldest kits in the den, and the only ones, other than Tigerkit. Tigerkit had had two siblings, which was already rare to have such a small litter, but they were very weak, and had died. Tigerkit's mother had grieved, but the medicine cat had helped her move on and take care of Tigerkit, because if not he surely wouldn't survive, either. Tigerkit was doing better, and the medicine cat said he was growing stronger now, but his mother wasn't. She was very sensitive, she'd always been, and very quiet and gentle. When she'd lost her kits, she'd never been the same, and, though she still nursed Tigerkit, she was always very distant and rarely talked anymore. She just met Tigerkit's health needs, but did not pay much attention to him otherwise. Bluekit felt sorry for Tigerkit most of the time, and wanted to play with him, but her mother, Moonflower, would tell her gently to leave him be. Tigerkit's mother was distant, but if anyone besides the medicine cat got too close to her or her remaining kit, she would grow angry and snap or hiss. Bluekit felt even more sorry for little Tigerkit, because he had no one to play with. Bluekit and Snowkit stopped fighting when a yowl filled the camp. It was the leader's call, signaling a meeting. Bluekit and Snowkit ran to the front of camp. They knew what this was, it was their apprentice ceremony. Bluekit was in excitement and didn't hear much of what was going on, except that her mentor would be Stonefur, and the crowd cheering them on. She also saw Tigerkit at the entrance to the nursery, cheering excitedly, so excitedly that he ventured off to the middle of the camp with the other cats, but his mother snapped at him to come back, and he quietly returned to the nursery.
A moon later, when Tigerkit was only three and a half moons old, his mother died. She couldn't get over the loss of her kits, and wouldn't eat, or drink, or move from the nursery. Tigerkit had slowly began starving, too, because when his mother hadn't eaten, he was growing weak with her. The medicine cat had tried to coax her to eat, for the sake of her kit, but she just couldn't. Tigerkit was on the brink of death, and another mother who had just had kits fostered him, and he began regaining his strength. Bluepaw felt sorry for Tigerkit again. He'd never really had a mother who was there for him, and she'd died, and now he had to go through the change of new siblings and a new mother. Bluepaw began going to the nursery when she was done training every day to play with the kit, who was growing restless without anyone to play with. They had grown to be best friends. One day, when they ate together, because Tigerkit was now old enough to have his first real meal, he said suddenly said something to Bluepaw, something she never forgot.
Bluestar watched as Tigerstar's rough kithood began to show through, though, as he got older. But as much as he changed, she always remember what he'd told her that one day.
"Bluepaw, we'll always be friends, no matter what happens. Know that I'll always be your friend, for nine lifetimes."

The Tribe of Rushing Water Review By Flamepelt and Moonstar/snow The Tribe of Rushing Water, saviors of every cat in the Four Clans. In the books they gave shelter to all the cats, now they have returned in a new form, on the website we all know and love as wc.activeboard.com! I myself have joined this new tribe for the experience and I became a prey hunter! The traditions in the tribe differ from the traditions in the Four Clans, and these traditions also have been brought to this website. In the Tribe you start out as a to-be, pretty much just an apprentice in Clan terms. In the books when you are born the leader/healer, named Teller of the Pointed Stones (Stoneteller), depending on how you are built decides if you are going to train to be a Cave-guard or a Prey-hunter. Really all they did was split up the jobs warriors have. I became a prey hunter, what were you built to be? Cats joined the Tribe for many different reasons. "ThunderClan didnt fit me." Timber explains. But for others, it was just a new opportunity. "I joined the Tribe because I've always loved reading about it." Lily states. "I couldn't pass up the chance." Still, others just wanted a loving family. "I joined the Tribe because first of all, I used to be a loner. I had left Thunderclan to become a loner, but now I missed having that bond between a Clan that I didn't have when I was a loner. So I joined the Tribe." Flight says. When choosing their names, most cats, like Lily, Flight, Pine, and Timber, wanted to keep part of their Clan name in the Tribe. But others, like Sun, just wanted to keep their colors and markings! Sun Who Warms All Hearts aka Sun described her choice for us. "I think it's a little cheesy, but my nickname, Sun, fits my orange tabby character." Overall, what are cats opinions on the Tribe?
Sun:I love how we chose to stick to staying true to the books. I think it's what Erin Hunter would want, and I think it's great that we're staying true to that. I've always been curious about the tribe and their lifestyles and beliefs, and now I actually get to live Tribe life out. Lily:I love the tribe. They show that different cultures exist within the cat's lives, just at we have in our lives.
Flight: It's fun! A lot of people have joined so far, and more are coming. We all know each other from around the site, so now we can just become closer friends.
Timber: IT ROX!!!! =D
BlueXOak By Ebonycloud [Read her story under Fan-Fiction for the rest!] A silver blue she cat stared out across the river that marked the border from her clan and RiverClan. Her blue eyes were curious as she watched the clear liquid pass by. With a soft sigh she turned from the river and began to pad back to the forest that was her home. Yet she stopped when the sound of soft foot falls sounded behind her. Her fur bristled and she turned blazing eyes to see a brown tom, whose fur held an odd tinge of ginger in it, standing on the other side of the river. His bright green eyes stared at her curiously. "Well hello there." He mewed somewhat emotionless and yet the silver blue she cat could sense a bit of curiousness in the toms voice. The she cat sneered at him and he chuckled a bit. "What are you laughing at?" She hissed. "You of course," he laughed even more and the she cat grew hot with embarrassment. "Its just I said hello and you got mad at me." The tom laughed a bit more before his oddly rough voice died down. "You must be Bluefur huh?" The silver she cat was slightly taken aback that he knew her. "That is my name but I wonder why you know it." She frowned at him deeply. The tom smiled, yet the corner of one side of his lips curled up more than the other giving him and odd smile. The other side bent down slightly with crookedness making her wonder if he was doing it on purpose. "Stop smiling like an idiot. There is no reason for you to be so happy." She snapped. The tom shrugged his gingery tinged shoulders. "Suit yourself. All the she cats in RiverClan love it. They melt at the very sight of me." He purred and yet it was mocking but not her. He was mocking himself. Bluefur stopped for a moment and thought. What was wrong with this guy? She studied him for a long moment before she recognized who he was. Her eyes snapped open slightly as the name Oakheart came to mind. It was the RiverClan deputy. "Whats wrong?" He started, "Has my smile captivated you?" He laughed making his shoulder shake. Bluefur stiffened and narrowed her eyes at him. "In your dreams!" She hissed. Oakheart tilted his head to the side. "Well I suppose... my dreams are rather nice. Especially if I get a cat as pretty as you walking through them." He grinned again in the same crooked way as before. Bluefur growled deeply at him. "Just who do you think you are?!" Her blue eyes blazed with rage and embarrassment. Oakheart looked up to the sky as if was actually taking time to think about whom he was. "Hmm well I could say that I am rogue just looking for someone to harass but I dont think that would get me to far." He hummed a bit in thought. With a mischievous smile he turned his green eyes back to her. "I am Oakheart, deputy of RiverClan if you must know." He chuckled slightly. Bluefur nodded curtly now that she knew she was right about who he was. "Well," he murmured, "Guess I will see you later." He grinned and turned around. His long lithe tail swished around making the turned a tad be more dramatic. He turned his face over his shoulder slightly and grinned once more. With a wink he was off. Bluefur gave a flustered gasp before she whirled around and headed back to camp. The silver blue she cat lay on her back in the middle of camp staring up at the canopy of large branches and leaves above her. Her mind soared far away from where she was. It was still back on the shore of the river thinking of the odd deputy of RiverClan. His crooked smile was somewhat, though she hated to admit it, charming. Her mind thought about the way his lithe yet powerful shoulders shook when he laughed. Then there was the last moment when he winked at her. Oddly enough it had made her heart flutter like a startled bird. A shadow moved across her face as she stared up in to the amber eyes of the newest warrior of Thunderclan. "What are you doing Bluefur?" The young toms slightly husky voice drifted down to her. "Its not like you to sit around day dreaming." "Oh Tigerclaw, its you." She murmured slightly. "Well duh," He laughed. It wasnt as deep or as off as Oakhearts. She glanced up in to the dark tabbys amber eyes before she rolled out from under him and stood. She shook herself out and let her ruffled fur lie flat again. "Whats wrong Bluefur? You dont look good." The tabbys eyes glowed with concern and a deeper emotion. Bluefur stared in to his eyes with her piercing gaze. Tigerclaws face became slightly flustered as he glanced away. Bluefur sighed slightly. What was she going to do? The tom on the riverbank had charmed her and she knew there she should be paying more attention to the toms in camp. Yet even though she knew the emotion in Tigerclaws eyes she couldnt feel that way back. With a sigh she headed out of camp and in to the darkness of the forest to think. Almost a whole moon had passed since Bluefur had met Oakheart on the riverbank. Since then she had not run in to him at all. Snow had fallen during the time she not seen him. Yet no matter how hard she had tried when ever her friends had mentioned how charming the toms in Thunderclan were, she could think of no one else except Oakheart. Her heart fluttered at the thought of the odd tom. He had made a deep impression on her. Now she could see no one else when it came to charming and handsome. Bluefur walked by herself near the RiverClan border. The biting cold stung her nose when her ears picked of the sound of desperate squealing and struggled gurgles. Her eyes opened wide as she sprinted toward the sound. She burst out of the cover of the forest and landed on the snow-covered shore of the river. The icy cold water was swallowing a tiny kit that was hanging on desperately to life. "Hold on!" She screeched and plunged deep in to the water caring nothing of her own safety. Her head broke the surface of the water and she gasped for breath. The harsh current pushed her further from the tiny kit. The kit kept squealing in pain and desperation. Bluefur paddled with all the strength she had ever had. The water pushed against her but she came close to the kit. The stinging cold numbed her body as her pelt soaked through. She shivered as she came to the kit, grabbing it by the scruff and paddled toward the shore. A wave washed over her head and pulled her and the kit under the surface. It made her crash to the bottom. The air was sucked from her chest and yet the kit stayed in between in iron hard grasp. Her eyes closed as water took place of the air she desperately needed. Her eyes closed and darkness consumed her. This is it. She thought to herself. The world around her fell away as the current took her and the kit away. She felt nothing as the cold shook the warmth from her body. What am I doing? Her thoughts jumbled together as she grabbed for familiar words. A light tug pulled on her neck yet she couldnt think about what it was. She was dying. Who Am I? [May contain spoilers] 1.Boy, my leg feels so much better after all that swimming! I can jump around and become a warrior now! Yet somehow, I cant get over this creepy feeling that everything seems so familiar 2.StarClan have disappeared. I believe there is no StarClan, for they did not tell us about the vanishing sun. Sol predicted that. Therefore, I turn my beliefs to Sol, and so does my Clan, for the leader can transform every cat in a Clan. Answers:
