Oh yeah, I used GIMP for my tut, but it works with photoshop, etc. But anyways, sure. Some basics for everyone to know:
the paintbrush is what you use to draw, color, it looks like a brush. use any type, any size you want. ;)

for free select, just press "f" and click feather lines, set it to 20-25.

the blend tool is like a square, around the brush and bucket tool, and if you click it, click the box and click the one that looks like foreground color (brown) to transparent(checkered in appearance).

smudge tool: a hand with a finger pointed down, trace over your lines with it, color doesnt matter. If I accidentally called it a blend tool, you can tell the difference if I said to trace over the lines.

It's a puggle, and I want to thank Moonstar, for helping me. I made it on photoshop, got a trial of it. Just the lines, which Moonstar taught me about, made the picture better than I couldve ever made it without her. I made it in hopes for a puggle at the shelter I want. It's also a dedication to it, because he was an awesome dog, and they alerted his owners, and if they do pick him back up, I feel sorry that he had to stay in the shelter for so long before they did. but I'm so happy with this picture. I can't pick out too much wrong with it, and thats a first.

THanks! :D I worked hard on it, thought it came out pretty small. i did have it zoomed on photoshop, though, and i forgot that i zoomed it

I've decided to recreate "Simba" from The Lion King. Disney animators have always been an inspiration to me, and after research, all their Disney animals animations were drawn after bringing in Live animals and studying them. So I love how they turn them into creative characters, and I decided to do a more traditional, classic work of simba, because he's one of my favorite disney animals that I look for inspiration in.

I like how it turned out, I'm glad I seemed to get the colors right. I like how it looks "tribal" and thats how Lion King seems, from the opening scene with the song and the holding up of Baby simba. :] Credit to Disney animators for Simba, I just remade the lineart of it, and colored it in. ;)
