Warrior Cats: The Four Clans

Sorry it's so short. I'm hurrying because I need to sleep. I got absolutely no sleep last night because I was drawing the four apprentices. *laughs* I hope you enjoy!

Chapter One

Silverpaw looked at her mentor, Duskheart with bright eyes. "So, we're training today?!" she asked with her eyes trained specifically on her mentor's movements. "Yes. And I'm going to be talking to Twigstar about you and the other apprentices going to the Gathering tonight," said Duskheart in a cool, calm voice, though inside, the mentor was as excited as Silverpaw.

Silverpaw then meowed, "Before we go, can I go and tell the others?!" Duskheart let go of a musical laugh as Silverpaw ran off to the apprentice's den. "Eaglepaw!" shouted Silverpaw, calling her best friend. Eaglepaw's blind eyes turned towards Silverpaw's voice. He smiled and said, "Hey Silverpaw!" "Eaglepaw! We're going to the Gathering tonight!"

"We are?!" chimmed in Goldpaw, walking into the den with Ebonypaw. Silverpaw nodded excitedly and said, "Duskheart is asking Twigstar now!" Ebonypaw yowled with joy as he jumped into the air. "Eaglepaw," said Ivoryclaw, calling his apprentice. "Coming!" called Eaglepaw. "Well, I got to go!" said Eaglepaw, running out the entrence. "Me too," said Silverpaw, bounding off to meet her mentor Duskheart who was just exiting the Leader's Den.

She grinned as she said, "A yes?" Duskheart smile happily as she said, "Twigstar said yes." Silverpaw yowled in joy. "Let's train, just in case we get into a battle!" said Silverpaw with eagerness. She was bouncing as she neared the entrance, Duskheart strolling happily behind her.

Silverpaw happily bounced into the snow that always seemed to be around the camp. "Yes!" screeched Silverpaw, kicking up snow as she bounced. Duskheart then said, "Silverpaw, attention!" Silverpaw then stood straight.

Chapter Two

Silverpaw smiled to her friends as all the cats who were attending the Gathering lined up and got ready to visit Four Trees. "This is so exciting!" she said to Ebonypaw in a cheery voice. Ebonypaw was like an older brother to her, kind and gentle, knowing and controlled. He smiled and said, "Yes. You guys are excited too, right?" Goldpaw nodded excitedly and Eaglepaw smiled and said, "Of course! First Gathering, Ebony!"

Silverpaw smiled widely, showing large ivory teeth. She looked to her mentor, Duskheart, who was pacing and speaking to Ivoryclaw. Ivory claw had just finished his vigil this morning, and was quickly placed with an apprentice. Night was just too hyper. She was a wonderful Warrior, but too hyper. Silverpaw smiled to Ivoryclaw who stole a glance at her.

Eaglepaw seemed to glare at Ivoryclaw. They all became apprentices together, but he became a warrior quickly because of his serious personality and strength. Silverpaw then gripped Eaglepaws attention. "Hey, Eaglepaw? Do you ever wish you could run like the wind and shine like the sun?" asked Silverpaw, looking at her friend. "I would!" interrupted Ebonypaw. Silverpaw laughed and stood on her hind legs to reach Ebonypaw's ears. She cuffed his with a white paw and then laughed.

Ivoryclaw seemed to ogle at the scene of the apprentices joking around. Silverpaw was never that happy before, thought Ivoryclaw, snorting. Ebonypaw play-tackled Silverpaw who shrieked in harmony with Ebonypaw's laughs. Goldpaw and joined in while Eaglepaw crouched, ready to strike. As soon as he heard Ebonypaw's laugh near his ears, he pounced and landed squarely on his shoulders.

"You cant be blind, Eagle!" shrieked Goldpaw, looking at the now-on-his-back Ebonypaw. Silverpaw bit her tongue to stifle her laughter and then said between released giggles that managed to escape, "Eagle how are you Blind?! I mean, you can't be!" Silverpaw released a spasm of giggles that spread throughout the apprentices.

Rustfur, with a wide smile, came over and said, "Goldpaw, stay by my side. Were about to leave." Hearing their cue, the four parted ways to their mentors. Silverpaw was bouncing by the time Twigstar gave the cue.

In Blizzard Clan, the rules had somewhat changed. There were two Medicine cats. They switched off according to who went last. It was Moonbreeze's turn this time. She stood, whispering quickly to Lilacpool who nodded every once in a while. When Twigstar let out an icy yowl; something all the Leader's of Blizzard Clan had known.

The cats raced out of the entrance and into the dark sky. It had no stars; just the silver moon. Silverpaw's icy blue eyes seemed to glow when they were touched by the shimmering veils of the moon. Ebonypaw's sapphire blue eyes glowed as well. The silver of Eaglepaw's eyes seemed to glow a mysterious silver; Goldpaw's blue eyes reflected the joy in the world, glowing bright and strong.
