Kumiko smiled. Her black eyes glimmered with cheerfulness. "No reason," she said in a sing-song voice. "Why would I be blushing, you think? Why do people usually blush? Because they are feeling just fine, totally comfortable, not awkward at all?" She turned away, playfully angry.

Maddix raised his head "Thats not why I blush"he said said smiling. He hadn't blushed in awhile but it was usually when he was embarrassed because of a girl or someone was being sweet to him. "Your blushing because you just can't take it anymore. having to be around this and not able to touch it must be hard"he said playfully "I guess I'll just have to leave"he said

"Don't leave!" Kumiko blurted without thinking. As silence fell she blushed again. "Erm...but shut up," she advised him. "Your voice is getting annoying. But still, don't leave," she said again, then promptly slammed her head down on the table and kept it there. "Ouch," she muttered, but didn't straighten.

Maddix blushed and then said "Sorry" before being quiet and watching her silently. his big eyes had a thoughtful loo. he ruffled his hair thinking about the current situation. he dug through his bag until he found a pencil and some paper he wrote

Sorry my voice upsets you

He passed it to her so she could read it. his hair was messed up on one side

Kumiko grabbed the paper and scanned it quickly. She gasped softly. She sat up and glanced at him. "Maddix, I was kidding," she insisted softly. She hoped he hadn't taken her seriously. "I don't actually want you to...shut up." She looked away, blushing again, very awkwardly. She had no idea what else to say without sounding like an idiot.

"So I can talk to you right?"he asked his hair still jacked up. He put his pointer finger under her chin and made her look at him "Please stop. You don't sound stupid and you never will so don't worry" he smiled at her "Just say what you wanta say. I'm sure it nothing I can't handle"he said with a smile. He moved his finger and then fixed his hair

Secretly Kumiko longed for him to replace his finger under her chin; it had given her a lovely tingling sensation that she wished she could get again. For a moment it had seemed...but no, she had been let down. Her face was completely red but she didn't care; she held Maddix's gaze with her own black eyes. "I'd rather...I'd rather not say what's on my mind," she whispered, then laughed nervously. "You'd freak, I'm sure."

"I doubt I will"he said "You can tell me anything but if you don't wanna that's cool to"he said leaning back in his chair looking at the ceiling. He looked over at her with his big round eyes innocent and unaware of what she was thinking. "Do you want me to help you with the report for math?" he asked

"I'd rather not tell you," admitted Kumiko. Glad though she was that he changed the subject, she replied "That's okay. I think I'll just go with your funny hats and pants idea...I'll dress up the numbers." She gave a slight laugh and her face brightened with it. She glanced around. "The others are taking a while today....unless we just got here really early..."

'That smile' he thought. 'It leaves me scatter brained'he thought to himself. He regained his wits slowly and said "Are you sure? I don't mind."he told her honestly and then his attention was diverted as a cute little petite blonde came up to him and said something in his ear. "Sure no problem"he said smiling at her. The blonde smiled back and said "Thanks Maddix see you later" Maddix kissed his first to fingers adn gave her the peace sign. She gigled and walked off to talk with a ground of small 'perfect' girls. He looked back at Kumiko "I'm sorry about that"
