Fireleaf shook. He began to laugh a bit. Jumping up beside winterstorm, he said, "well then, if mine don't work than perhaps it wasn't me who has working gills. But I bet you do!" he shoved her into the water with a huge splash. With a laugh, he jumped into the was with her.

Winterstorm pushed her head above the water and gasped for air. A great smile made her lips curve upward. "Oh yeah?" She growled playfully and tackled him. They both fell under the cold water. She kicked him playfully under the water and pushed away. They both surfaced gasping for air but laughing at the same time. Winterstorm's green eyes flashed with mischief as she pounced through the water to get to the ginger tom.

Fireleaf coughed a bit. He actually had never really seen winterstorm playful before. She was always doing her work and never seemed as though she wanted to play or have fun or something. At least...not when he was around. He jumped up and landed on winterstorm, laughing a bit. He went under the water to hide even though she could probably easily see him.

Winterstorm saw the tom's dark gringer pelt standing out inside of the water. Yet the darkening sky made it harder to see him. She pounced forward with a laugh but missed. "Fireleaf, i think we should be heading back. We will have to walk back in the pitch black with soaking pelts." Her green eyes still twinkled playfully. It had been a while since she had been able to just play. She had been doing her deputy job for about two seasons now and she had only jsut gotten the hang of it. She grinned warmly at Fireleaf and waded through the cold water. Her black and white pelt was soaked through and the night air chilled her.

Fireleaf popped his head out of the water and laughed. "yeah your right. Sorry." he said. He gave a warm smile and jumped up on the side of the surface. He shook a bit like a dog so that his pelt would be a little dryer before walking back to windclan. He turned his head and watched wintersong with his green eyes, waiting for her to come out.

Winterstorm followed after him with a grin. She shook like he did to get a little warth to enter her again. She flicked her tail across his nose and chuckled, "Come on then." The two trotted toward Windclan before Winterstorm looked to the sky. "Fireleaf?" she started, "Have you ever wondered why Starclan watches over us? I mean do you really think that they do?" Her green eyes were somber as she thought. She turned her green eyes to the ginger tom.

Fireleaf slowly looked up at the sky and the small stars that twinkled all around it. "starclan?" he whispered. "I've been told so many things about starclan cats.." he signed abit and looked down at the green smooth grass below him. "but, truthfully....I've always found it kind of hard to belive." he looked up at the white and black deputy. "I mean, it is hard to believe that all of then are watching down on us. Including every other cat."

Winterstorm nodded softly. "Well, i always found it odd that a bunch of dead cats could shape our future... I just think that there is something more." She sighed and glanced back up at Fireleaf. "Want to just stroll back? I dont want to get back to camp just yet. Its been fun just playing wit you out here." She smiled a bit embarrassed at herself. She felt a little heat touch her cheeks as she looked away.

Fireleaf glanced up at the sky for a moment, thinking of what she said. He looked back down at her with his green eyes. With a small smile he said, "really? I have never seen you so playful." she let out a small purr and crouched down. "but sometimes it's better to just relaxe and play than to work." his tail wagged back and forth as he looked up at her.
