Oki narrowed his eyes. "You think..." he started, but she walked off. "Fine. Let the blind wolf and the grumpy beta side with each other." He muttered underneath his breath. It wasn't like he had a choice. He would have been deeply disgraced if he said no, or backed down with tail between his legs. If he had lost the fight, no one would have taken him seriously for moons, maybe seasons. And people still thought they could criticize him? He knew it would be hard to replace Thunder, and that he never truly would, but now that Thunder was gone, couldn't the rest of the pack see that without an Alpha, they were just a clump of disorganized wolves? That they could easily scatter from a single attack and never form up again?

"If he dies, then it will be God's will."
"If that was meant to be comforting, it was not."
"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Meppe glared at the argue, wondering which side she agreed with. It was interesting, to say the least, and it definitely captured her attention. Besides, she hadn't been demanded to do something quite yet. She lay down, her paws sore and mind twisted with confusion. She sighed, watching the wolves' actions.
"Thatcher!" called out Raissa, paws moving blindly in front of her, leading to the glade. "I know you're here. I need your help. Desperately. I need someone to train me. And as far as i know, you're the only one who would at least partially abide, even though i'm blind. Oki is pretty much useless in this part. Help." Raissa sat blindly in the open glade, her eyes darting uselessly around, even though she knew that he would know that she didn't really know where he was. Her ears were leaning forwards, making her look hostile, though she knew it was useless. She didn't know if she did well with growling and such, and right now didn't help because she couldn't really see what she looked like; whether she looked scary or weak.

OOC: there was fight between Thatcher and Oki over who would be a better alpha. Thatcher hurt his leg/paw during the fight. Oki ended up winning so he bacame alpha.
Thatcher perked his ears but only called out, "Hurry up if you really want to train? I am not slowing down even if you are blind." His voice was as harsh as ever. So the runt wanted to train eh? Well that was fine by him. He enjoyed when the other wolves were going to make themselves useful. Being the best that you could be to help others was his most important ideal. Despite his limp and her being blind he would teach her. And knowing her sharp tongue she wouldnt accept anything less than his rigous training. What would the others think? Like he really cared though...
Her ears trained on where Thatcher's voice came from, she boldly padded towards the source. She stopped at least two tail-lengths away and said, "Don't you dare slow down," in a mocking tone. She was glad Thatcher had agreed, though she knew he would've anyways. Flattening her ears on her head, she stared at Thatcher's quiet body. "Understand if I fall, or whatever may happen," added Raissa after a few moments of thinking.
And the only reason Raissa wanted to fight, was to show Oki that she wasn't just a weak, worthless pup. She could be strong, and she knew it. He had to learn the hard way, though, didn't the Alpha? Learn that the very worl he grew up in, trained in, could come crumbling down; because of one faulty move.
One faulty move that was his fault.
