This is a poem based off of the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel which is a true story about the Holocaust. The book is really depressing like everything that is about the Holocaust. This poem is also pretty depressing, but I want to know what you guys think about it if you are willing to read it.
Human We Were Human we were, But not anymore. Slaughtering those to weak to serve. Feared and hated We serve our leaders who turned Us into the monsters we are now. Human we once were.
Human we were, Now killing to survive. We are the walking dead. Fearing and hating The monsters who kill those Too weak to serve. Human we are again.
Human we remained, Remembering those who shall never be Forgotten. Returning to prove we no longer Fear the hated monsters. Human we will always be.
So...bored....Must....do something....fun.... Here's a fun little story I randomly came up with.
E 23 I love this time of the year. Why? Because the biggest tournament to ever eixst is starting up. Best. Tournament. Ever. Seriously. The dead come back to life to fight in this thing. It's awesome. If you ever wanted to see who would beat who in a fight, this is where you'd see it happen. I've been looking forward to this thing since the last one ended and so has everyone else. All the wars everyone's fighting in stop as people come to watch and participate in this crazy tournament. I guess I should introduce myself. Name's Valex. I'm just your average Leon. Not! My full name is Valex Earthtalon the Devastator. Awesome name ain't it. You're probably wondering how I got it. Let me give you the short version. I took out a very powerful enemy. A VERY powerful enemy. This guy's name was Death. I'm serious. People jsut called him Death. Why? Because he was an unstoppable killing machine. Not really sure what he was. But we do know he was some sort of demon. I'm not sure how I took him down though. I threw some dirt at him and he died. That's it. He did scream a little, but yeah. I jsut threw a bit of dirt at him. That's right. DIRT! I threw DIRT at an all powerful demon and he DIED. THat's kinda sad though. Dirt kills you? Wow. Shortly after that, people began throwing dirt at the rest of these crazy demons. Of course that didn't work. Then they began looking at the ground where Death had died. (Ha! Death. Died. That's funny.) They didn't find anything. I was then declared a demon hybrid and taken to this wierd old dragon who doesn't do anything except sleep on her island. They asked her if she knew what exactly I was and she said: "A Leon". You should've seen the look on these guys faces. Priceless. They kept demanding that she tell them what I really was. Eventually, the old dragon got mad and threatened to eat them. So they took me back home and named me Valex Earthtalon (because of the dirt thing) the Devastator....Yeah, I don't know why they chose "the Devastator". Because it'd make me sound tougher? So how did dirt kill Death (I always laugh whenever I say something like that). No one knows. Now you're probably wondering why I didn't use a sword or something. People have already tried swords. They've tried everything. Guns, axes, swords, giant robots. Nothing works on any of these demons. Death probably had his head chopped off at least a hundred times. These guys regenerate and put themselves back together. It's insane. The first one that appeared is still out there. He was named Hookjaw. He's got these wicked curved fangs that rip through everything. Well, I'm going to get back to this tournament. I've got a fight coming up soon. And everyone's expecting me to be invincible and beat down the reigning champ, Chrome. Don't know how I'll beat him. He never loses. He's gotta be over a thousand years old but he looks like he's only a hundred, he acts like he's only a hundred too....maybe he is only a hundred years old... I'm not looking forward to a fight with him, but it's probably gonna happen. That's how my luck works. I was hoping Death wouldn't come anywhere near me, and he did. But that turned out well....hm... Hey, looks like its my turn to fight. Great! Hopefully my oppenent isn't too tough. -------- Valex stepped out into the arena. Loud cheers erupted from the stands. The young, gray Leon grinned. There was a loud roar as a massive half mechanical dragon thundered into the arena. Valex suddenly felt like his armor weighed a ton. Standing before him was Titanus, the Talon of Tekar. Bellowing loudly, the dragon charged towards Valex. The grey Leon rolled out of the way. Titanus aimed his cannon arm at his tiny opponent and fired a blast of energy. Valex dragged his claws across the ground. A wall of rock rose just in time to intercept the shot. The wall shattered instantly. Titanus tried to take a step forward. Valex hit the ground with his tail. When Titanus' foot came down, it sunk into the earth. The dragon began to lose his balance. Valex stomped his foot and a giant boulder rose from the ground. He struck it with his head and it rocketed forward into the mechanical dragon's chest. Titanus fell backwards and hit the ground hard. Valex began to focus on the earth. Titanus pushed himself up into a sitting position and found himself looking at a beast bigger than himself made of rock. The rock monster slammed its fist into Titanus, crushing him. Valex grinned as the rock demon fell apart. Maybe I can beat him.
I am unnamed and unwanted. Feared and hated for reasons unknown. I run, I hide, but I'm always found. It's hard being the last of your kind, especially when everyone wants you dead. -------- I hate being alone. Being unable to go anywhere. I can't do anything except stay out of sight. I have so many questions, but there's no one to ask. I could go and find someone, but they'll probably just try to kill me just like everyone else has tried to do. Why does everyone hate me? It'd be nice to know. If I knew the answer, then maybe I could fix this whole thing. But no one wants to talk to me. No one wants to see me. I'm not sure what happened, but what ever did happen, it must've been bad. I'm the only one of whatever I'm supposed to be left. I wish I knew what I was too. All I know about myself is that I'm hated. I'm a big, white, cat with giant fangs and everyone wants to kill me and hang my head on their wall. It's been hard trying to stay alive with everyone out to get me. I've found trees are usually the safest place to sleep, people hardly ever look up. My tail's pretty good at wiping away my tracks. I've gotta make sure I leave no evidence behind, otherwise, the Darolk Hunters will be on my tail for days. Takes awhile to lose those guys. They're apparently the best at hunting me, but I've done a pretty good job at avoiding them. I wish people could just explain things to me. Am I supposed to bring the end of the world or something? Is that why people want to kill me? ----------- A bush rustled and the white tiger's eye shot open. His muscles tightened as he prepared to make a run for it if a hunter appeared. A quillet stepped out from the bushes and sniffed around the base of the tree the tiger was in. The white beast sighed and relaxed. He watched the quillet devour the berries from one of the bushes. Its thick, spiked tail twitched occasionally. The quills that ran down its back lay flat against its body, it hadn't seen him yet. The tiger adjusted himself so he was more comfortable in the tree. The quillet may provide plenty of food, it wasn't worth catching. They were quick and deadly. If you were going to catch one alone, you needed to strike a killing blow before it knew you were there. From where he currently was, it would be near impossible to do that. Attacking from above was suicidal because of the quills and it was bound to hear him climbing down the tree. The quillet suddenly froze, it raised its boar like head and stared past the tree the tiger was in. There was a loud hiss as a a terror wyrm shot out from behind the tree. The quillet squealed and reared up on its hind legs in surprise. The giant, emerald green snake lunged for the quillet's throat. The snake pulled back and watched the quillet intently, most likely checking to see if it need to strike again. The boar like creature struggled a bit before becoming still. The serpentine dragon slithered up to its prey and rose above it. A talon saber growled and attempted to approach the wyrm's catch. The snake hissed and bared its bloody fangs. The gray lion backed away, but didn't leave. It was probably waiting to see if it could get something the wyrm didn't eat. The white tiger sighed. He watched the snake eat with his sad, purple eyes. I wish I got warnings. He thought, remembering how people immediately attacked him the second they saw him. The tiger stretched and lept out of the tree. The wyrm paused and watched him. The lion bared his fangs, he clearly wanted all of whatever was leftover for himself. The tiger walked a wide circle around the two creatures. The only ones who will leave me be or those who can't help me.
I randomly came up with this. Don't know if I'll keep it going, but it seems pretty neat. Maybe I will continue it. But if I do, it's gonna be my side project. This needs a title....and a name for the main character though. Guess I'll take suggestions. XD
i really, really like that, draggie! however, i know it's a side-project, but if you keep working on it, try to add more description on the main character. i love the idea, though!. maybe the next part could be a hunter's scene?

okay, then. unfortunately loving an idiot who doesn't love me back. but i'm not falling. i just kind of... am. .
Not a bad name. I may change it slightly, but so far, looks like it may work. As for the chapter suggestion, I think I'll do that. I always ahve trouble with the detail. Still working on it, I'm sure it'll get better soon. I'm currently trying to decide between writing in first person or third person.
