He looked at Anna, Ms. Carlsworth called for them again this time she sounded further away from them. Jake slowly got up & looked out of the opening.

Anna didn't really want to go back to camp but she knew she had to. She crawled out of the hole and help Jake out. "Ms.Carlsworth here we are"she shouted towards the teacher. She looked up at Jake with and a few emotion crossed her face quickly then she looked down. She felt weak for some reason and she leaned against him abit. Then she realized he might not like that. She straightened back up and waited for the teacher.

Jake felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up, he looked at Anna with wide eyes. Ms. Carlsworth turned around "Oh, thank goodness you two are okay." She rushed up to them & started to check them over to see if they were hurt. She saw Jake's wounded foot & gasped, "We need to get that fixed up right away."

Ms. Carlsworth gentily helped Jake up & helped him walk to the cabin. She opened the door & let them in so they could sit down. Jake grunted & sat down, he carefully took the moss off & looked at his wound. Ms. Carlsworth found the first aid kit & went over to Jake, he looked up at her & gentily held his foot. The teacher started to clean it, Jake winced.

Anna sat down beside him gracefully and said "It's okay Jake don't worry"she gave him a warm smile her eyes full of some strange emotion. As soon as Anna she said was about to say something else. Three girls came in "We found Anna's sho-Oh my gosh Anna Grace you look horrible are you okay? What happened? Did he hurt you? Is it his fault? Are you hurt? Are you hungry? Where you scared?"they all talked at once. "I'm fine and no he didn't hurt me and yes I am."she said "Jake are you hun-"she was cut off as the girls got her to her feet and started to lead her away. She looked back at Jake and mouthed 'Sorry'

Jake frowned & watched Anna & the girls leave, he was use to people acting like that around him. No body wanted to be around him because they probably thought he was emo, a freak & maybe alittle scary. He looked back at his wound which was now clean, Ms. Carlsworth came back with some gauze & bandaged his wound. Jake thanked her quietly, Ms. Carlsworth smiled at him warmly "Don't forget, we have some school projects to do today." Jake nodded & went up to his room & got dressed.

The girls herded Anna Grace to the bathroom so she could take a shower. Anna washed her hair and got all of the dirt off of her while the girls got rid of her old clothes and got her more from her bag. The girls brought back a pair of hip hugging jeans with holes in the knee, her pink converse and a tank top that was black with a white leaves tree on the side. She dried her hair with a towel then went outside for it to air dry the rest of the way.

"Everyone to class." Ms. Carlsworth announced on speakers that were set around the cabin. Jake finished dressing & started to walk to the small class room for the lessons. He sat down in the corner in the back of the room. Ms Carlsworth smiled at him & starting getting her books & teaching supplies out. Jake waited for Anna hoping the girls that had been with her let her sit with him or at least close by.
