Maddix was running out of the broken rubble of the house. "Holy freedom fries"he yelped falling in his hurry to get away from what was in the house. What he had seen was a wolf spider on the wall. he was deathly afraid. Lyla came up beside him and jumped on his shoulder licking his face and purring. "Lyla are you okay?"he asked freaking slightly and checking her over.

((Ic)) Taylor ran. She gripped Shadow tightly. Her feet thumped in a steady beat on the gravel road. Turning left, she could faintly see Maddix, her best friend. She's considered that Maddix was a boy, but she never really cared. Taylor neared Maddix, and she waved to him with her free arm. "Hey.." she panted, standing next to him. Shadow jumped off her shoulder and started playing with Lyla. She giggled. "They sure seem to be enjoying themselves," she laughed. Taylor sat down and motioned Maddix to sit next to him. "Let's talk about the new war.." she whispered suddenly.

"Dude oh my god"he said not realizing how girly he was sounding he didn't really care"There is a wolf friggin spider in my house"he said wide eyed and full of fear. "I almost died"he freaked. he was so afraid of spiders it wasn't even funny. He was teased about it alot. His brother used to find them and put them in his bed.

Taylor smiled and rolled her eyes. Unlike Maddix, she wasn't too scared of spiders. Taking her shoe, she killed the spider, then slipped her ankle high tennies back on. "There," she smiled. She pushed her blonde hair back and smiled. She watched Shadow paw Lyra, and Taylor swooped down to scoop up her dog. "No," she said firmly. "You won't hurt Lyra." Kissing Shadow on the nose, she set him down again. "Wanna talk about the war?" she asked again.

"I'm forever in you debt"he said bowing to her. "Sure okay wellt here is a war and it screwed us all over"he said "There I summed it up for you"he said looking at her "Know let's go somewhere"he said poking her in the side where she was ticklish. Lyla was jumping on the puppy and meoing

Ic: Taylor giggled. "Okay.." she picked Shadow up and then started walking. "Where are we gonna go?" she asked. She kicked a stone. It flung a few feet. She stared absentmindedly at it. "I kinda miss Mom and Dad.." She whispered to Shadow. "Do you?" She waited for Maddix to catch up, and during the time, she remembered all the great things she and her family did together. Movies, pizza, bowling.. She wiped away a tear before Maddix could see it.

Maddix picked up little Lyla and slowly started walking to Taylor. He caught up with her at the end of the block. Once he got there he fell in stride beside her."Do you ever wonder why we where saved?" he asked her "I mean why wasn't out family? Or neighbors or friends or teachers. I mean heck the elephants could have been saved but they weren't we were."he said rambling alittle. He did that sometimes.

Ic: Taylor shrugged. "I dunno.. maybe we were just lucky. Maybe.." She sighed. "I just don't know." She let her hand run through Shadow's short fur. Her blue eyes stared into nothing. "All I know is that I don't like this war and .. people in the U.S are going to die because of it." She pushed her hair back. "Do you want to stop it?" she asked Maddix. "I mean.. we could tell the soldiers to stop the war and everything.."

Maddix was sent into a fit of giggles. "Wow that was....the most outragious thing I've heard lately."he wiped a the tears that had formered in his eyes and then said "I'm sorry but that was just way to funny"he looked at her. "I mean Taylor come on. It's a war what are we going to do about it? Say hey guys could you like stop the war okay thanks guys. It jsut doesn't work like that"he said
