Taylor sniffled a bit and then hugged Maddix. "I'll hold your promise in my heart.. but how can you promise? If I go to an orphange and someone wants me, I can't just say 'NO!! Don't Take me!!!' It's not fair.." She sniffled again and looked at Shadow's sleek black pelt. "Maddix... you're my best and pretty much only friend. I CAN'T lose you, like I lost my family. We HAVE to stop the war.." She looked at Maddix in the eye, his eyes burning into her blue ones, her cheeks flushing cherry red at the sight of Maddix's beautiful eyes. "Please.. you HAVE to do this with me. Taylor looked at Maddix, tears still in her eyes. "You promise?" she sniffled. Taylor leaned her head against Maddix's broad shoulders. "You're more than a friend to me.." she whispered in his ear. Her blue eyes showed amusement. "C'mon, I REALLY think we should tell those soldiers to to stop the war." Her blue eyes suddenly started pleading Maddix. "PLEASE???"

Alex thought he heard someone screaming about something like a spider, so naturally, he turned off his course to check it out; he wasn't someone to miss something like that out. Hefting the small pack on his pack (it was so light that he sometimes forgot it was there) he turned onto a street to see two people talking. To him, it seemed as if the female were begging the male for something.

Tilting his head to a side, he walked up to the two and said, "Er... I hope I'm not interrupting anything, but what are you two doing here?"

Maddix stopped what he was doing and looked at the person. "She wants to go tell the soldiers that they shoulder stop the war, so I told that I would help after she begged for awhile."he said looking the guy over. "The names Maddix Liek and this is Taylor Evans my best friend."he said then asked "Do you have a name? Wait is your name Steve?"he asked with wide eyes. Alex looked like a Steve to him for some reason. He waited slightly impatient

Alex resisted the urge to scowl at the boy. "Steve", was it?

I guess people my age can tell the difference; or maybe a dress would help the disguise a bit, he mused to himself, almost forgetting the fact that there were two people awaiting his introduction.

"Oh. Uhm. Right. Alex," he offered, neglecting to add his last name. "Do you really suppose they'll listen to you?" His skepticism was hidden neatly beneath interest, and the boy pushed some of his hair behind an ear, eyes resting on the two before him.

Taylor looked up in supprise. "Oh.." she said, startled. "Um... hey." She blushed. "Wanna.. come sit down?... Alex?" she asked. Taylor suddenly looked at him. His outer beauty.. "Oh.. wow," she whispered. His body was like a curse. Maybe his eyes did it. Maybe his hair. Whatever it did, Taylor fell in love. She smiled. "If you didn't know, I'm Taylor Evens.." she said shyly. Her face turned hot pink. "He's beautiful," she whispered to Maddix, "But I love you more..' Taylor wondered if her words were true.
