"When I was younger me and my brother used to build forts all the time."Lacie said coming up behind them. "I could easily build some. It might take a bit but if I had some help it would be no problem." Before Lacie's Mom and brother died they used to go out in the woods and see who could build the biggest and best fort before dinner time. Eventually Lacie got to where she could build a good one in a fair amount of time. "I would do it myself but with my size and the new surroundings I'll need help." Lacie was the smallest person in her family since her grandmother's mom who had the same build as her, 4'8 and slim.

Rose heared Dino she looked up "maybe" she said. "We could use the Plane for shelter since we need to get rested for the trip ahead of us" she said. she looked at the tall grass around them she spotted a zebra way off in the distince running full speed "you don't think it's being chased do you?" she asked Dino nervously.

"Did you guys go to college or what?" Lucia snapped, looking at the zoologists standing around and cutting open their pants and changing their shoes. "Aren't you the least bit cautious about getting bitten by bugs, or passing by poisonous plants or anything?" She sighed, and looked around the plane to find supplies, but realized that mostly anything useful was gone. "Hm. Did someone take all the supplies from the plane?" she wondered out loud.

He was of exactly the same opinion.

"Sure we did," Aven drawled. "It's just a question of whether or not what they taught us got to the old noodle." Tapping his head, he gave a laugh before he stuck a hand out to introduce himself. "Aven. Nice to meet someone with a brain." The toothy grin he gave her made it clear that he had been the one who had taken everything.

Turning his head to look at the others, he shrugged. "I guess we could stay in the plane, but I really don't recommend it. For one, it's in the middle of no where. If you think it's hot now, wait until that metal hunk of junk, without air conditioning, I might add, has been sitting in the sun. You'll see hot then." He was starting to doubt this group. Was it because they were too specialized in animals that they completely lacked all hints of regular human common sense? Not that common sense was at all common--it was more like a rarity. "Common sense needs a name change," Aven mumbled to himself.

Lucia laughed and shook his hand. "Lucia. And you're the culprit, I see. At least you acted. I only took a few things. Anyway." She turned back to the group of milling zoologists. The thought struck her that they looked a lot like sheep, standing around waiting for someone to tell them what to do. "You guys, he's right! We better head into the trees, and start looking for that cheetah! Unless of course, you guys wanna chicken out and find civilization?" She laughed again, imagining the huge cheetah and their victory.

"Well, it didn't seem like anyone else was going to, and it would be a dreadful waste to leave this stuff in here. Everyone seemed preoccupied with cutting pants and acting like we were in front of an ice cream shop...." He shot a glance at the people he was talking about. Aven grinned when Lucia spoke. "I highly doubt whatever civilization they find will be exactly what they're thinking. For once, I don't think they'll have a Starbucks or a Coldstone there," he murmured quietly enough so that only Lucia heard. Louder, he said, "Well, I don't suggest we move now. I think it's midday"--he glanced up at the sun to check--"and that's probably the worst time to move, especially under the blistering sun. I can't remember exactly when we're supposed to move, but I'd suggest nighttime and early morning, before it has a time to heat up. If we're really pushing it, I think we can rest until the sun starts to go down before heading out. We're going to need water."

Aven, being the type of person that he was, neglected to mention the water bottles and iodine tablets he had in his pack. He figured that desperation would help these people realize the trouble they were in if they kept standing around to talk and sabotage their own clothing.

Rose heared Aven say that they would leave when the sun would start to go down "That's a good idea" she said to Aven. She looked back at Dino to see if she would get a reply to her question.

Dino looked at Aven for a moment. He couldnt tell if the red headed boy was trying to be funny or not. Shrugging he started walking to a near by tree. "Whatever do what you guys want, but Im not sleeping in that thing." He pointed to the plane then started to crawl up the tree. Making to the first branch he stood on it and broke some branches with his hands. Placing them on a higher branch he started to build a nest big enough to fit him.

Rose watched as Dino built a nest for himself "I thought there were deadly types of ants in that type of tree" she said looking up the tree in a book she discovered in her backpack. she flipped through the pages trying to find the tree.
