"Woah!" She yelped for half a second, he had swooped her up before she could even think the word, 'ready'. then she blushed furiously, she wasn't used to being carried around. "At least fainted girls have red cheeks. That'll be the easy part." Lucia hung her head over Kayden's arm, closing her eyes and breathing slow and light. Fainting was not that impossible, at least you didn't have to stop breathing.

"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Kayden grinned as he held her easily. "Alright," he whispered, eyeing people around them. "I'll mind-speak to you, don't do anything until I say so." With that, he kicked open the door of the store; the chimes above it clanged spastically. "Mrs. Livingston!" he called loudly to his manager, trying to sound frantic and panicked. He rushed over to the register counter, trying not to laugh at all the faces of confusion and worry around him. "Mrs. Livingston, my girlfriend...she fainted outside, I don't know-" he cut himself off, sounding as if he were about to break down in tears at any moment. Ha, perfect, Lucia! I'm going to suggest you had heat stroke, that'll work, especially since you're still warm from blushing, he teased.
Ah,how exciting. At least I'm not in some kind of breath-restricting ball gown. She did not move from her limp position, one arm folded on her chest the other hanging down, swinging as he brought her quickly t the cash register. It feels weird...not seeing.

I know, I know, but there's not much to see...except for all these hilariously confused faces, he laughed to her. Trying not to smile, he said "Mrs. Livingston, she may have had heat stroke..." He lay her down quite gently on the carpeted floor beside the counter. "Oh, my," Mrs. Livingston breathed. "Audrey, get me some cold water," she directed in her melodic voice. "Everyone, stand back from her, give her room to breathe," she snapped. Kayden shot his manager a fake-grateful glance; she smiled sympathetically at him. They're gonna want to get your face wet with ice water, I won't let them, I'll tell you the exact right moment to 'wake up,' he promised Lucia. "Mrs. Livingston," Kayden said quietly. "If I could have...some days off...maybe a week or so, you know, to stay with Lucia...make sure she's alright, make sure she stays hydrated..." "Oh, honey, of course," the woman agreed comfortingly. "Yes, of course...you know, my mother is a nurse, she's nearly retired, but I learned a bit from her..." As his manager went on about how she got her caring nature from her mother, Kayden spoke to Lucia. Yes! I got my days off...haha...Okay, ready, I'm going to put on an act... He gently put his hand on her cheek and ran it slowly down her face. "It'll be okay," he murmured softly. "We'll be fine..." His words had more meaning than just about her "fainting..." he was also talking about the battle. "Don't worry, Lucia, I have hope," he assured her softly. Mrs. Livingston put one hand over her heart and blinked rapidly. "How...sweet!" she gasped, her eyes sparkling. Kayden smiled half-heartedly, looking slightly dejected as part of his act.
Haha. Nice~ Oh, and you should get the carpet changed. It's quite scraggly. Itches like heck. She almost smiled, but forced herself not to, just imagining the chaos in the store. She called upon an air conditioned breeze and asked it to see for her, almost bursting out laughing when she did. Oh dear, this is quite silly, isn't it? Let's not let her know this is all fake. She might just fire you. Her outside visage managed to keep calm, without a smile, still flushed, as if she had truly fainted, but she was having a normal conversation inside her mind. With the one person that mattered.

Yeah, I don't think I want to tell her this isn't real... The girl Audrey came rushing out with a bottle of cold water; condensation was dripping off the plastic bottle. "Thank you," Mrs. Livingston said swiftly, and uncapped the bottle, about to pour a bit onto Lucia's forehead. Now! Kayden thought loudly, at the moment right before his manager tipped the bottle.
Lucia's eyes snapped open with a deep intake of breath. "Ungh....where am I?" she murmured quietly, looking up, as if in a daze. "Ka-Kayden...?" She had heard a few happy murmurs when she had woken up, but she still acted dazed, pretending to not see the bottle of water that was hanging above her face.

Shia leaned towards Ash and kissed her on the lips. It was such a moment; he didn't dare breathe. They kissed for awhile; drawing attention to themselves. Finally, Shia pulled away. He smiled. "Let's go back now," he whispered. He called Bolt and Kiki over to them and clipped their leashes on. "Let's spill the news to everyone."
