Alyssa's brain was still fuzzy after the operation. Perhaps I lost a few braincells.. she thought. Or.. a lot. She slowly got up and leaned her weight onto her good leg and crutches. She looked around. "If Jason's trying to get us by radio.. that must mean the Beta team is all right!" She smiled. Yes, they had to be all right. They had to. She heard some static again, but no more mumbling. "Oh god.." she muttered. "What if Jason's the only one who survived?"
OOC: haha, i love playing a person with some mental problems :) very... different XD her operation really destroyed her brain for awhile XD
A startling silver eye opened suddenly. His power had activated out of sheer urgency to reconnect to that golden thread that tickled his mind with curiosity. And as Kein searched with his mind, his body spasmed as his muscles clenched and relaxed with such ferocity that his entire body started to ache and protest. That consciousness was very, very far away. Then a sudden shift of power, and, as if lightning had struck just a few feet away, Kein froze in his seat and sat there, eyes glazed. He had connected to Commander Shepard. "Beta Team Commander Shepard. Come in, please. This is Kein, respond." A frown tugged at his lips. "Status Report."

Jason crouched at the end of the hall. His eyes flickered around searching for more targets. No one was in sight. A voice resonated in his head, clearer than any comlink could make. "Who is this?" Jason growled lowly. "Is this command? I am pinned down in the northwest sector of a building south of the mission target. I have hostiles crawling all over the place. We have heavy casualties due to heavy fire. Im all thats left. I request immediate e-vac. I repeat we need e-vac. I dont care what the crud you have getting me out of here. A tank, jeep a tricycle i dont care! Just get me out of here. I repeat again, i am under heavy fire and require an e-vac. My team is dead!"
Kein winced slightly as he felt the other speak. "My name is Kein. I am part of team Beta. We will send back up immediately." The sentences were choppy; his concentration was ebbing away with each breath. That cursed dagger wound throbbed like never before. "You don't have to talk out loud. I can hear your mind quite clearly. Save your breath, Commander Shepard." He cut the link with a gasp. "Commander Shepard is trapped in the northwest sector of a building, south of the 'missing target.' His team is down, and he's trapped in more ways than one. Immediate e-vac is needed." Kein spoke softly to Painter. He was the only one he trusted.

OOC: all right guys! This is the last time i'll be posting for awhile on the RP; i am going on a cruise!!! Please don't kick me out of this RP, and please don't take this RP too far without me :3
Jason gritted his teeth and glanced around a corner of another hall way. At the end of this one was a door that had been knocked off its hinges and a few crumbled walls lay beyond it. The liught of day barely flittered in to the building and Commander Shepard knew he was getting closer to the outside. He slowly krept from shadow to shadow, keeping a wheathered eye out for any hostiles. When none came in to sight he stood and dashed for the end of the hall. Small defense turrets on the roof that he had not seen activated and started rattling off bullets. A few whizzed past his ears and one managed to embed itself deep in his side. He did not flinch, rather he just kept running until he made it through the broken door way and behind a large metal cabinet that had been knocked over by an unknown reason prior to the battle. Jason didnt bother to call back in with command. Whoever it was that had talked to him had heard his request. It was now up to him to get out of this place and to an e-vac zone. This area was to hot for any pickup to come without risking the lives of everyone that would come to his rescue. He waited until his side began to twist in pain and the bullet popped out of the wounded flesh. With that he conitnued at a slow crouch toward the light he had seen earlier.
Anya listened to what Kein had to say. Her entire team, except her leader, down. Shock raced through her as her mind went over the friends she had. She shook her head. "I'm going in after him. I can make it to where he's at faster than any of you can with my speed ability. And thats a fact. I can dodge any bullet, and carry him back as fast as possible." She didn't wait for anyone to say anything. Yes, she was probably being extremely reckless, and probably stupid. But if her entire team was already gone, there was no way she could lose Jason too. She ran out the door and was through the streets in a matter of seconds. She paused in an alley, close to where Kein said Jason was at. Where he was exactly she had no idea. She had to come up with a plan, and fast.
OOC: i saw your post after i posted...lol so if this doesnt work let me know..

Jason was near a large indoor compound now. He had followed the light but found ti to only be a mere hole in the wall that didnt even lead outside. He glanced around a four way intersection in the halls and passed a large automatic sliding door. A key card was needed to enter but durning the fight the lock had been blown apart. A few people scrambled by in the distance of the large room. Commander Shepard would have fired but his training and experience told him not to give away his position. INstead he crept further away from the compound and headed down a few more tunnels. A couple of hostile targets had tried to bring him down but his pinpoint accuracy got the better of them. The dark haired man tried the comlink again, "Command? Is anyone there? Come in! All men and women on beta team that were seperated are down. I repeat we have heavy casualties. Thomson, Phillips, Jade, Wilson, Patterson and Kettle are all down. (Made up characters sorry! ^^") Is anyone in the area? Come in command!" He growled in frustration from his hiding place and waited for some answer, any answer from the static filled comlink.
Anya could have sworn she just heard something from the comlink. "Jason? That you? Where are you?" Her head was still trying to wrap around the fact that they were the only Beta team alive. The leader, and the second in command. If she hadn't of ran off when she did, she could be dead now. She looked down allies, around buildings close to the area Kein said Jason was. She had no clue where he could be. She heard gunshots. She turned and started running, not too fast, into the direction they were coming from. She didn't want to step into a trap herself.
