Pursing her lips, An shrugged once again and said, "It is nice -- it was my grandmothers. She made it, and then since my mother was not an Air Bender, I recieved the glider when it was clear I could Bend air." Fond memories flooded her, but she sort of skipped as she thought. "I would've loved to be a warrior -- don't get me wrong. Bending is my life. But maybe just a change in pace. A Kyoshi warrior. Of course I'm very small, but I like to think that would come in handy, ya know?" rambled An, grinning ear to ear. Bending was life -- becoming a Kyoshi warrior was a minor dream, but she knew it was not possible.

okay, then. unfortunately loving an idiot who doesn't love me back. but i'm not falling. i just kind of... am. .
Ren remained quiet. He knew the young girl was only wondering about being a warrior only because she wasnt one. Though Ren's skills were quite formidable. He could go toe to toe with a bender from any nation and usually come out the winner. He never relied on terrain to help him. If he had his two fans he was always battle ready. For a moment he wondered about showing the girl a few moves but thought better of it. He really wasnt that good of a teacher and would just end up yelling at her. "Tall or small the Kyoshi warriors fight as well as any bender. Though we prefer that you arent a bender when you learn. We dont want our training to interfer with bending training."
Aki was deep in thought then looked up at him said "If you are as good as you say you are then you must be able to teach. Could you maybe teach me?" The small girl could hardly be called dangerous or a threat to anything but fish. Realizing she just put Ren on the spot she quickly apoligized "I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked you to teach me anything it's not your place" Aki looked down not making eye contact.

Ren knitted his brows for a moment, "I never said i was any good particularly." Despite having said that he knew he had always been a talented warrior, even amongst the leaders of the combat teams. "I dont really think it would be a good idea," he said finally. "I dont have any permission and i dont really think i would be any good at teaching you." He gave her a smile, hoping to put the idea off. He wasnt confident in his teaching skills.
Aki looked up at him and thought about offering to teach him what plants could be used to heal and other things in exchange for him teaching her but she didn't want to get him in trouble. "Is it hard being the only male in an all female group? I don't think I would much like being the only girl in an all boy group."

Ren gave her a rather goofy smile at that comment, "Dont forget about him." The boy pointed his thumb over his shoulder to the earth bender in the back of the crowd. He hadnt spoken a single word yet and Ren could understand why Aki thought that he was the only boy in the group. The earth bender didnt make his presence known to much so far and could easily be mistaken for a ghost that was just following them around. "Im not the only boy... Thought it wouldnt bother me to much. I was the only boy training to be a Kyoshi warrior. Being in a crowd of girls is an every day thing for me." A small chuckle escaped his thought at that. He wasnt at all uncomfortable with so many of the other gender around. Rather it calmed his nerves, he was used to it.
"I was talking about back home where you train. You are the only boy Kyoshi warrior that's not weird on any level?" she asked actually curious about Ren. She had met many people on her travels with the elderly couple and loved to hear their many tales wether made up or real. "I be tyou have many friends back home"she looked up at him.

Ren shrugged his shoulders. Great, despite trying to keep a distance from these people he was practically being forced to tell his life's story. Of course he could say he didnt want to talk about it... but that would be just plain rude right? "Well... it was wierd at first but you get used to it. Normally the saying goes, Just one of the guys... Well i was just one of the gals." A chuckle escaped his throat at that thought. "No one looked at me as either a girl or a guy. We were just warriors, fighting for what we believed in. As for friends, i suppose i have a few. Most of the time i spent with my childhood friend Miu. Of course i wasnt friends with just girls though. I have a friend named Kuro and Sin-Oou. They were the best buds anyone could ask for. Just been a while since ive seen them."
"Sounds to me like you are pretty lucky then"she said happily. Thinking back to the tribe she remembered her best friend. Emiko had been her best friend since she was born. He was always encouraging her to do the things she believed were right and always follow her heart. When her heart told her to leave the tribe he suported her even though it was very difficult. She smiled alittle wider at the thought of Emiko.

"But Ru-Ru, what am I going to do while you're gone?"
"Pa...Papa will come to take care of you. He promised me he...would." The words seemed choked.
"Papa? I thought he lived very far away!"
"I know Mar-Mar. He does, but he's coming all this way, so be good to him while he takes care of you."
"I will Ru-Ru!"
And if he doesn't take care of her, I'll be the one smashing his face into that royal door of his, Thought the red-haired boy as he looked one last time at his younger sister before leaving.
Ryuu walked at the back of the group, thinking about his little sister, hoping she was alright, thinking of ways to torture his father if he should mistreat his sister. He heard the rest of the group talking up front but didn't bother to join in, noticing that there was only one other boy in the group. He shrugged and stared out over the passing terrain with red eyes that seemed to be focusing on something else. He never tripped, being an earth bender, he didn't have to look down to know where he was walking. It was as if he was staring at the ground, the way he easily and gracefully dodged the obstacles. His body was there, on a mission, but his mind was far away, with his little sister in the corners of the city.
"Ru-Ru, that loaf of bread is so BIG! Are you sure it's all for me?!" The little girl squealed.
"Of course it's for you, Mar-Mar. Would I be giving it to that rich old man over there?" Asked Ryuu with a laugh.
"But surely you're hungry!"
"Eat as much as you can, and if you're anything less than full, I'm going to tickle you to death!" He playfully warned, grinning as she burst out laughing and tore a piece of bread off, stuffing it in her mouth.
"Is that good?" She asked, only it sounded more like "Iffw wat foof?" That pushed a laugh out of his mouth and he shook his head as if in mock shame.
"What am I going to do with you Mar-Mar?" He asked, tousling her long black hair.

"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
