Tek sighed. She walked up to Luck. Her deep almost black eyes galred at her letting her know she was there. She looked up then sat down. She was somewhat autistic, had huntingtons, and she could only talk if she focused hard enough. "Hu-Hi Luck, ho-how are you tok-today?" He said trying to look head on stuttering and trying to get the words that prosessed in her mind to sound like talking. "Wa-when are thi-they k-coming?"

Axen instantly knew who he was looking for when he saw her. His good and dear friend, Fortunata. Yes, it was not hard to find Lady Luck if one knew who they were looking for. "Fortunata!" He called, almost bouncing up like a young puppy. The silver spikes on his head bounced lightly as he trotted over to the cafe. "Long time no see, m'dear~" He bowed lightly to Lady Luck, one did not want to anger her, as he had often found out. Envy and Luck had often gone hand in hand, figuratively at least, in the past. They were still going strong, because it was often when one got lucky, another got envious. The sun was actually out for once, probably another of Fortunata's doings. "You know, they say it rains all the time here. You aren't messing with that, are you?" he laughed, standing beside Tek, Death. A character he had not had many pleasant run-ins with before. It is not fun when Death steals one's prey. Or well, source of comedy, would be the better way to explain it, for Envy.

Her train of thought interrupted, Fortunata glanced up sharply, bright olive green eyes meeting black ones glare for glare. Even after she had recognized Death, the woman maintained eye contact for a good half minute before she stood with a smile, the deathly cold look leaving her face as if it had never been there.

"How are you!" Lady Luck was all smiles as she stood a distance away from her stuttering accquantinace. Although her words were congenial, the undertone was demanding and cool: 'Just what took you so long?'

It didn't take long for another familiar voice to intrude upon her newly-struck-up conversation with Tek and she turned to see Envy. "Axen! How are you! I haven't seen you in ages!" While most people meant 'ages' figuratively, for the two it was literal: Fortunata couldn't remember the last time she had spoken with Axen and not just witnessed the side effects of Envy. Holding out her arms for a hug, Luck fixed Envy with a mock glare. "Of course not! I love rain! You'd have to ask Rain or Water about that, and I don't think they could make it~ They haven't been feeling too well lately. You know humans." Fortunata was completely unpreturbed by the strange glance a passerby gave her at the mention of "Rain" and "Water" as if they were human names, but after a shrug, he hurried off.

"Ahaha!" Axen hugged Fortunata, grinning as if he were a puppy. "Yes, it seems that most of the human population despises rain now. Except for those in California who never get it." He shook his head with a grin. "Maybe they should try out living in California. They might like it." It was good to see Fortunata again. It had been far too long. "How have you been? Breaking men's hearts as usual?"

Fortunata nodded; "Water especially so hasn't been feeling too well. She's been facing deficiencies, what with the"--here she held her arms out as if shrugging, but not actually moving her shoulders, indicating the humans around her--"being so wasteful. She's been plagued with the most awful chill and her reflexes aren't what they used to be." She sighed, leaning back and crossing her arms. She was grateful that humanity's population explosion had only helped her, not damaged her health.

"Oh, I've been doing quite well, actually. Been quite entertained with these human's antics. I swear; you give a man a few minutes of luck and he squanders it on something completely and utterly useless. Sometimes I do wonder whether or not I should help along with those miracles." Fortunata smiled and shook her head, the pleasant gesture laced with a strange chilling quality. "And you, Axen? You haven't told me how you're doing." She sat back down, re-settling her bag on her lap as she stared intently at Envy.

OOC: i kinda feel sorry for tek. it's a good thing she can't die, otherwise she would have died of huntingtons. :)

Tek bobbed her head around to see Envy, she didn't care much of him, nor everyone else, well except for Fortunata. She liked her. "Ae-Axen, whok are you evn-yin-g now?" She said still processing speech. it was hard for her, a hard time trying to talk while controlling what to say, and trying to control her body as best as she could. Her genetic deasise was not fun, slowly loosing control over her body. She tried to laughed when she had stopped talking.

"Haha, I've been busy. It's quite amusing to see what people will do when they want something. Killing is boring, although it seems that that is what most people do. I find it more interesting to see what kinds of torture people could come up with." He grinned again. Envy really was an adapting image. Sometimes it was a jealous guy, sometimes it was jealousy that made people work harder and get their dreams. The latter was more boring of course, but hey, at least it explained his puppy-like behavior.
He turned to Tek and smiled, his eyes hidden under the silver spikes of hair. "I don't know, who would I envy when I have everything I want?" He turned back to Fortunata, once more adorning the sparkle of mischief in those ocean blue eyes.

[ ooc; well, technically since there is always death, the personification of death shouldn't be so sickly. :D remember, their health stems from how well their 'idea' is doing in the real world, but ^^~ ]

"But killing makes our sickly friend here healthy," Fortunata said amiably, absently rummaging around in her bag and rearranging things. "I did see this one time, though," she said suddenly, glancing up from rearranging things. "The man was brilliant. He--well, maybe I'll tell you another time. It still hasn't been found out yet. There've been no especially heavy rains where... well. Let me just tell you, it was a brilliant move. He's probably in the Middle East now." Her green eyes sparkled as Luck recalled the details of just how the man had claimed what he was convinced was his. The plot had been so intricate that Fortunata hadn't been able to resist giving him a helping hand.

"In any case, it's been a while since our appointed time. Do you two think we should keep on waiting"--the look on her face made it clear that she was hesitant to waste any more time sitting here than necessary--"or just go on with our plans for today? I'm sure I can find their contact information somewhere."

"Haha, I sure would have liked to hear about that. I think I may have met the man, once when I was in the Middle East. An interesting character. Anyway, they're deities, I'm sure they could find some people if they wanted to." He shrugged, hands in his pockets. He was carrying nothing, didn't need anything. "What have you planned for us today, Lady Luck?"
