Prologue

The nice summer evening turned into a terrible storm. The pups gathered in a group and huddled for warmth. Even the mother was scared. The barn door had been shaking because of the harsh wind. The long tree branches hit against the sides of the barn. All asleep but one pup, who was destined for greatness from the start.
It was in his blood. The scar and mark of his father. As it seemed none of the other pups related him at all. All with pure golden pelts much like their mother. Pup, on the other hand, he had a dark gray pelt, unlike the other pups. None of the pups seemed to mind or even notice, they loved him as their brother.
His mother, on the other hand, never wanted the memory of her long gone friend  to ever return to her head, but with a pup with his mark, she couldnt.
She had a name for each of her pups. Each one was happily given a great name, His two sisters were cheerfully named Bif and Jeg. He also had a brother, she gladly named him Orch. His mother decided to give him the only name she cared to, she named him Pup.
Pup had no idea he was different, he loved his mother and brother and sisters all the same. He felt he had a happy life.
His brother and sisters acted no differently then they would around any other pup. They didnt even realize he was different, well, they did, but they didnt care.
His mother can still see the day when she was lost in the woods. She met the wolf she would soon depart with. They seemed to get along quite nicely. They didnt want to part, but coming from two different worlds, it had to be done.
Later the wolf found a mate, and he lived happily ever after with her, never thinking about the golden retriever he had met. He didn't have the siltiest memory, or the siltiest idea about her.
Soon came the day when she wondered off again. He met her at the crystal clear pond. They sat there, looking at their frozen reflections on the ice. Then, Stone spoke.
Youre my closest friend out of my pack. He said. Winter is here, and we are all  starving. We cannot survive much longer on such little food.
He picked up a bundle from his side, and placed in in front of her. She closed her eyes and shook her head. Stone stared at her.
You must take my son. He whispered. He will die here.
I cannot take such a creature home to my newborn pups! She said. He will never fit in.
I know, it is the worst time for a pup to be born, Stone growled. but if he stays here he will surely die!
I will take him. She said slowly. He will get no special treatment for his differences.
Stone nodded. He stared at the dog, hoping he could trust her with his only son. He was sure he could.
Soon, she left, with the bundle in her mouth. One extra mouth to feed was one to many. He wouldnt get special treatment, or any good treatment at all. He didnt belong with her.
Stone slowly trotted back to his den.  His heart was heavy. Hed given away his only son. Cloud, his mate padded toward him.
You did the right thing. She said. He would have never survived here.
Stone turned away. He felt anger toward himself. Why did he do that?
I gave away my son! He barked.
Not forever, someday, he will return. Cloud said.
No. Stone said. He will be raised as a dog, and he will end up a dog!
You never know. Cloud said.
Dont you get it? Stone barked. He will never be a wolf!
He is a wolf!
He will not be raised as one.
Well, at least hes alive! Cloud barked.
Dont you get it?! Stone growled. I will never see my son again!
But soon, they would be reunited. . . . . .

He is no a runt for one. He just has different color fur. And I havn't even posted yet! How fo you know? Oh yeah, you read it. lol. Well, I didnt copy yours. I didnt eve hear lion dg until after i started.

Well I have added a ton more! it is sweet! I am on chapter .. . . . . . something! yay!
