The two cats entered the camp without another word being said between them. The great white tom turned his deep amber eyes over his shoulder to study her face for a moment before he meowed back to her, "Go get yourself something to eat now." He didnt offer kind words like, 'because you deserve it' or 'great job out there today'. She didnt need it really. Not from him. He was only her subsitute teacher for that day and any kind words from him wouldnt be heart felt so what was the point in saying them? Hollow words werent going to make the young she cat in to a better fighter. With that he turned and easily stakled back to the spot that he had been longuing in before the training. His white pelt didnt exactly glitter in the sun as he walked. Rather is was slightly dull since he paid less attention to his grooming than most cats. That didnt mean he didnt care about being clean. He just didnt try extra hard to get his coat looking handsome and shiny for a special she cat. He only did what was nesicary and that was enough for him.
Amberpaw met Ivoryclaw's eyes with the same blank intensity. They were mirrored, both ambers burning with age beyond their years. Ivoryclaw's smooth voice broke the unearthly gaze, and Amberpaw took the order with a nod. It was a difference to her mentor, who showered her with compliments after training. She enjoyed the silence though, it was comfortable. There were no empty promises of improvement, only an air telling her if she did what he said and practiced, she'd get better. She padded quickly to the pile, grabbing a nice average mouse and looking back to the tom. His pelt didn't shine, glossy in the sun like Florestadreams. She liked that for some reason. Toms who washed themselves too much scared her a little, because she didn't keep her fur nursery-soft either. Thinking about how he sat there, staring at the grass, she took another fatter mouse, heading quickly over. She dropped that in front of him and lay down a tail-length away. She was sure he wouldn't care enough to tell her to go away, and he wouldn't complain about the mouse when he hadn't eaten sense she had.

Ivoryclaw glanced down at the mouse she had brought for him and he tossed her a slightly curious look. He didnt protest nor did he thank her verbally. He nodded his thanks and reached for the mouse with one claw. He hooked it and drew it closer. He began his meal in silence and was glad that Amberpaw understood his personality at the moment. If there was anything that made him feel more uncomfortable, it was having others pestering him with constant questions and expecting him to answer. Despite liking silence the tom mewed deeply, "Do you have any plans on training with any particular mentor for the last duration of your apprenticeship? Or are you going to continue on with me? You've got good potentional but it could go to waste if you arent careful." That was about as close as he had ever gotten to a compliment. When he had finished his mouse he licked his jaws, but kept his steady amber gaze on the younger cat.
Amberpaw didn't act any differently when he started to talk, only chewed more slowly. There was a sparkle of thanks in her Amber eyes for a moment, but it flickered away quickly. She chewed it over a moment before swallowing and answering. "If it's okay with you, I'd love to stay and learn with you. I've learned more in this one day than I did in a moon with Dapplerose." She didn't mean it to be an insult, or a compliment, just a statement.
ooc: sry it's so short! :]

Ivoryclaw's mouth quirked up on one side ever so slightly in to a smile. "Dapplerose can be quite... Well, distracted or distracting at times." He remembered when he was a kit in the nursery that Dapplerose had just been made a warrior and couldnt exactly focus on what she needed to at times. The great white tom shook his head softly for a moment. "Well then, i shall teach you while you are an apprentice," he said curtly. The tom sat up for a moment and nodded toward the other apprentices in the clan, "Why dont you go have fun with them. Im the least entertaining cat in the clan." He turned his amber eyes back to her but the broken soul was still reflected in both their eyes. Almost making them kindred spirits.
"Oh, quiet Talonclaw!" snapped Florestadream quietly. He wouldn't stop pestering her about everything. "Listen, go and... sleep or something. I don't know just go, all right?" Hervoice was quiet, so no one else could hear her as she released her anger on her brother. Grumpily stalking off, she passed by Ivoryclaw, sending him a dirty look that screamed, "I blame my bad mood on you." Then she held her head irritatingly high and made her way back to the elders den.
Upon seeing Mosspaw, she gave a tight smile and then placed herself beside Hazeleye with a deep sigh. "Tell me about it, kit," replied the she-cat.

okay, then. unfortunately loving an idiot who doesn't love me back. but i'm not falling. i just kind of... am. .
ooc: guessing that hazeleye is talking to mosspaw..
ic: Mosspaw smiled at Hazeleye. "So.. is the gathering fun?" she asked. She tried very hard to keep her voice regular, but it was cracked with excitement. "Any tips?" She jumped a little, again. "Well.. it is a time for sharing and peace. I highly suggest to not reveal anything about our clan secrets and to stay peaceful. I know you'll have fun, but stay safe kit." Mosspaw smiled. She dipped her head. "Thanks Hazeleye!"
ooc: just to let you know, anyone can go to the gathering if you want to. Feel free to let anyone (i prefer whitestar or mentor) to inform you about the gathering thing ;)
Ivoryclaw had cast a glance at Florestadream when she had passed by. He didnt react to her emotions. She was practically his opposite. She showed everything in her heart while she fought. It was a powerful way of fighting that could overwhelm other warriors. Yet his shield of void emotions were a perfect counter balance and at that poin they relied off skills to win a battle. Ivoryclaw knew that he could win against her... That is if he truely wanted to get his own pelt ripped in the process. He snorted from his nose from her hateful glare and brushed it off as if it wasnt even worth his time to react. "By the way Amberpaw. Did you know the gathering is tonight?" He sounded a bit distant as he mentioned the event, "I can ask Whitestar if you can come."
ooc: what? if rosefur was talking to bloodeyes... why would she want mosspaw? XD
ic: Mosspaw walked into the clearing of camp. Her stomach grumbled unusually loud. She hadn't realized how hungry she was until then. The apprentice padded over to the fresh-kill pile and picked out a large, plump starling. Her mouth watered at the smell of the bird, and she quickly brought it over to a comfortable place to eat it. She bit and took a huge bite out of the bird, chewing it slowly to save the taste. She loved the taste of bird. She really did. It wasn't too often that IvyClan could catch a bird; they were out in the open and had fairly small amount of trees. She took another bite of the fresh-kill. The aroma wafted into her nose and she sighed. Her stomach was starving and the taste was amazing.. She swallowed the bite. Mosspaw took another one, huge, and chewed very fast. She soon finished the starling. Her mouth watered, still hungry. She sighed. Today is the gathering, right? she thought. And I'm going.. so I should stay full. She smiled at the twisted excuse and led herself to the pile. Mosspaw took out a mouse and started wolfing it down.
