Mosspaw licked her lips as soon as she finished the mouse. She gave a little burp and giggled. She sighed and looked up at the sun. It was a setting down now, but it was still bright and shining. She sighed. Impatience filled her body. So far away, the gathering... She padded over to Bloodeyes.

"Bloodeyes, stop smooching over Rosefur already," she joked, "And start training me!" She pushed him away from his new love life and into the forest. "I'll attack you, k?" she asked. "Just until it's time for the gathering."

Ivoryclaw watched his temporary apprentice disappear from the camp and nodded to himself. Now he had nothing to do. He had done a dawn patrol and trained the young she cat. Al he usually did was lay in camp and try not to bother anyone. He usually suceeded at that. A sigh escaped him as he turned to watch the camp as usual. Kits tumbled and played outside the nursery. He could never see himself as a father. He was to cold toward anyone else. A mate would have to put up with his black stares and emotionless existance. He doubted any she cat would want that. He frowed slightly to himself and rested his head on his paws. He closed his eyes but did not fall asleep. He merely rested his thick body under the cool shade of his favorite bush.

Bloodeyes sighed and smiled. "I'm ready," he said firmly. Mosspaw squinted her eyes. Bloodeyes' shoulders were massive, but he couldn't reach her if she jumped there... Mosspaw smiled. What a clever plan. She focused on his feet. She moved side to side, then jump, slid, ducked, and twisted in the air, landing straight on Bloodeyes' back. He surely didn't expect that, he was ready to blow her away with a quick swish of the paw. She smiled and jumped off.
"Cool, huh?" she asked. Bloodeyes nodded, breathing hard. "Yeah, I totally didn't expect that!"
Mosspaw puffed out her chest with pride, then she looked at Bloodeyes' body again. This time she would aim for his left foot, knocking him umbalanced. She looked at his foot, remembered the way he moved, then focused on his other foot. She jumped and rolled, stretching her paw out and Bloodeyes stumbled and caught himself. He then swiped her up with his paw and pawed her on the ground. Mosspaw groaned.

"Dang, you caught me!" she said, annoyed. Bloodeyes smiled. "Yes, I did!" he said. "But if you tripped me more, I would have been destroyed. Tricky!"

Rosefur smiled at the two of them fighting. Then she realized something, " Hey, you two, it's almost time for the Gathering so we had better get going. " She gigled. She then started to play with the flowers Bloodeye's gave her. She then turned and gave another wink at Bloodeyes. " And, I know this is your first Gathering, Mosspaw " She smiled at the apprentice and said, " Let's move it. "

Mosspaw sighed. She was having a blast training. But the gathering was totally worth missing a few hours of training. She smiled and walked back to camp.
The sun was setting and the moon was beginning to rise. She sighed in awe as she saw the moon. It was round and shining, beautiful. Mosspaw took a little shrew and finished it off.
"LET ALL CATS OLD ENOUGH TO CATCH THEIR OWN PREY GATHER HERE FOR A CLAN MEETING!!!"
Whitestar stood proudly on his post, addressing the clan.
"As you know, this is gathering night," he said. "We will be leaving now. Cats who are leaving, come. Cats who are staying, rest and guard the camp." He nodded his head, dismissing the clan, then jumped off the rock. He flicked his tail motioning the cats to follow him and Mosspaw gave a little bounce. Boy, she was so excited.

Rosefur purred as she felt Bloodeyes's fur against her's. " Let's get moving. " She smiled as she pulled away from his and raced across the camp towards the little group of cats going to the Gathering. She sighed as Whitestar flicked his tail and raced through the entrance tunnel. She raced after him and kept about 5 paces behind him. She looked behind her to see a lot of other cats.

Ivoryclaw followed the cats that were leaving for the gathering. As one of the strongest cats in all the clans it was almost expected of him. He glanced over his shoulder to the rest of the group that was coming with them. He turned forward again and focused on Whitestar as he moved out to the gathering place.

Mosspaw half jumped half scurried towards her leader. She was so excited about the gathering. Her eyes shined in the moonlight, and her pelt bounced off the light which made her green pelt look almost silver. She kept walking in different paces. She slowed and stood next to Ivoryclaw. She followed his pace. Mosspaw envied the older warrior. He was strong and proud, exactly what she would like to be when she became a warrior. "Hi Ivoryclaw," she said, smiling. "Is it fun training Amberpaw?"
