I have this school project where we have to write a book and it gets published. It's one of the best ever, according to me :). But I really need editing and a place to put my thoughts before I hand-write it. So.. this is the place i'll put it! <33 Thanks so much peeps! Please comment!
The rose's petals were ice cold, dry. A pale lady of 20 sighed and touched them gently, her lone fingers barely touching the flower. Her body shivered -- just a little -- as her palm touched the freezing cold plant. She sighed and closed her eyes for a time, a long, long time. Those who only glanced at her would be mistaken that she was asleep on feet. Only the rise and fall from her body -- her breathing -- would give away that she was awake.
For a long time, the strikingly beautiful lady stayed still and her eyes slid closed. Her fingers were in the same spot as before, on the same petal of the same rose. Her breathing was faint and quick, so little that the motion was barely visible. But after awhile, she opened her eyes, her body stayed the same.
"She will come soon.." she whispered. She brushed her silky black hair away from her forehead, revealing a blue star. She then looked down at her belly, which was slightly bulging out.
A lady, an old, frail lady, gasped. She stared at her only daughter, her only child. "No.. no.." she whispered. "No..." Her gray eyes turned wide with fright and mis understanding. "Lilliana... how could you?" she asked. Lilliana gave a small, sad smile. "I fell in love with a hariwen," she whispered. "I'm sorry mother."
Hollie stared out the window, dreaming of something she has never seen of. She played a video through her head, the scene where her mother and father fell in love. She had always found that romantic. It was unique and different, something like her. She was unique. She was a one who stood out of the crowd.
Hollie is a half-blood. Half human and half hariwen. Her mother, Lilliana, was a human. She produced Hollie when she was a human, but soon became a hariwen. But no matter what, Hollie was still half human.
Her father, Aediryan, is a hariwen. He had been a hariwen since he was born, and will forever stay one.
So.. Hollie came along and became half hariwen and half human. She looked so much like her mother, but yet different.
See, full hariwens were to have long pointed ears curving in towards each other and a star on their foreheads. Hollie had those, but she didn't have many characteristics that hariwens had. One was purple eyes. All hariwens have purple eyes no matter boy or girl. They also have taller bodies than most humans.
Hollie sighed. She stood up and stretched. Her mother smiled at her.
"Not studying today?" she asked. Hollie shook her head.
"Naww. I'm going to go out." Lilliana stared in surprise at her daughter. Hollie rarely ever went out.
"Uh.. sure, sweetheart. Have fun!" she called. Hollie smiled and waved.
"I will, mother." she said.
Hollie set off. I need time to think.. she thought.
lovelovelove !. but the only thing that confused me was your description of Hollie. *confuzzled* what does her ears look like? err-- or maybe im zoning. one of the two. xD
