Cloudandis had spotted another shade bait, but it was a vole this time. It was watching her every move, like it was challenging her to come closer. She just waited, not really surprised, and pricking her ears for the smallest sound. She smelled something. It smelled like a much larger shade was heading in, its disgusting Oder reaching her.

She didn't really mind the smell sometimes, considering the fact that she had grown up in this accursed world. The shades all had a nasty stench about them, except for the ones that were higher in their rankings. They barley had any scent on them.

She saw another shade come out, much bigger than the small shade bait, and definatley stronger. She saw the vole shade bait run towards her, just happy to give her position away. She backed up and carefully checked her position. If it came up to attack,( the larger shade), she would be able to fight. It couldn't really fit into the tight squeeze of a gap behind her. That was the good part. But what type of shade was it? She saw that the vole had stopped. Its yellow orb-like eyes glowed with triumph as the shade headed her way. She silently backed up further into the small gap, which was just big enough for a half grown wolf to fit through.

When she looked up, the shade that had come her way had stopped,and was trying to scent her. It hadn't seen her creep away. It had turned at an angle that allowed her to see most of its body. It looked like some twisted wolf shade. She decided that a fight was not an option unless the shade trapped her. If she fought something that big, she could end up dead.

Jupiter grunted in annoyance and sighed. He took a look at the sick cats. None of them were THAT injured that they couldn't even stay one minute without his careful watch. Sighing, he padded slowly into the woods, sniffing the air. Waving his tail, Jupiter turned to his right. Right there, on a small tree, was a pile of cobwebs. Perfect. He carefully sunk his teeth into it and tore some off. Now off to find some marigold...

Katana crept low to the ground circling the bait till he got close enough to really got the stench the creature gave off, he thought to him self "why do they reek so badly?". He hid in a bush near a tree and crouched down "perfect ill show them what i can to". Katana jumped at the tree near the shade and rebounded off the tree and caught it before it even twitched an ear. he put it to the ground and snapped it's neck then put it on the ground in front of Rin."Is that good enough?" he tried to keep his voice as empty as possible.

Cloudandis stepped back deeper into the small space she was in as the wolf shade spotted her. She reared up, fangs bared, and pounce on it. It snapped and barked, trying to bite her, kill her. She thrust it down onto the ground and leapt over it. The wolf shade charged at her with a determined look in it's glowing yellow eyes. she jumped out of the way and snapped at its tail, managing to tangle her fangs in its fur.

The shade scrabbled around, trying to throw her off of its tail. She just stared at it with a blank expression on her face and bit harder. She let go of its tail as it tried to tear her ears with its fangs, her face just inches away from the ground, and bite onto it's leg. She was going to kill it, mainly because those shades killed off most of the prey animals that were food to the pack.

The shade snapped and barked with its claws lashing out at her, trying to land a blow. She dodged left and right, keeping track of where she was, just slightly grunting at the creature. It was pretty angry, and by then it had to doe. She leapt on top of it, knocking it to the ground. The wolf shade cried out in pain, it's mournfull howls ringing out through the forest area.

Cloudandis mercelessly landed a final blow to the whinning creatures legs, shattering the bones from the hind paw to the hip. It lay there motionless, and she noticed out of thecorner of her eye that the shade vole was still there. She swipped her tongue over her chops and pounced on it, snapping its neck. She walked over to where she had her other peice of shade bait and decided to find Rin and Katana.

Jupiter was going to fire off at her for getting in such a bad fight, but she didn''t care. Just so long as the pack was fed, that was fine with her. Jupiter didn't like her much anyways, just like the rest of the pack. But as she quickly stored her freshly caught prey, another wolf shade leapt out at her and its fangs peirced her shoulder.

The shade had knocked her over and she was on the ground, her shoulder throbbing with pain as the shade bit harder. "Just like a real wolf...they walk in a pack when they hunt..."Cloudandis muttered, her tone empty. How could she have forgotten? She thought while the shade continued to bite harder. She immediately shoved it off and bit its tail, the shade's squealing getting louder and louder until it rang out through the baren waste land of what had once been a forest.

IC: Katana herd the holws and bard his teeth "something is wrong!" he ran towrd the howling at full speed leaveing rin to run after him. "wat is it that is makeing the reched sound? is one of use or is it one of the shades attaking?" many questions were running in his head."i can't let one of the pack get hurt" he new he get yelld at but it didn't mater at the moment. a cople minutes later he saw Cloudandis fighting the wolf shade and anger grew in side of him. He ran and takled the one shade on Cloudandis knocing it in to a rock on the ground. then he lunged for it and grapled the shades neck bitteing as hard as he could.the creature went limp." are you ok Cloudandis?"

ic:" Yes, I'm fine."Cloudandis answered with her usual empty composure and tone. "What happened to Rin? And if you left her alone, where is she?" Cloudandis asked. Katana was smart for saving her, but he shouldn't have left Rin alone. She walked with Katana and they came to Rin after a while. "Nothing wrong Rin? "She asked her.

Rin growled with angry. "You idiot!" She snapped and swiped a paw at CLoudandis. "You may be beta but you are still a foolish child! You don't even think when you are hunting do you!?" SHe barked then turned her head out twards the wasteland. "We've just passed into shade territory, we are on the borderline! Any hunter would know that! this is where the forest meets the waste land. Then farther off is the ash forest. That's where Normandy lives, thye say it's all white there. I think it's snow." SHe said drifting from her anger only to reconect it. "Anyway Cloudandis, you should take to concern of where your going, and where you are at."

"Yes, I know. I accidentaly crossed into shade territory and I know very well that I should have watched where I was going." Cloudandis calmly replied with her usual empty tone. "Thank you for telling me this, and thank you for saving me Katana." she understood clearly that she had accidentaly crossed the borderline. She did not mind Rin lecturing her, because she knew she needed it. "But Rin, do not shout if you are trying to tell me something important. We don't want to attract attention from other shades."

She took her kill with her and placed it with Katana's catch. He seemed to have caught one. She had caught two. He would need to work harder if he wanted to be able to feed the pack. Cloudandis turned to Katana and Rin, her empty tone and composure not stifling for a moment after the long talk that they had had. Arguing was useless, and learning was vital. So in doing both, it would seem that they pair eachother as a need for survival.

Rin still seemed angry. Cloudandis simply watched their surroundings for any other signs of shades. She did not mind negaativity from others, because sometimes it had a posotive effect. Katana seemed to be trying to look as empty as she was, but she saw flickers and small flits of emotions passing in his eyes. She felt her inner self become active again.

"Man...I'm such an idiot...I should have listened to Rin..." the little pup in her mind wailed. But the larger and older one padded over to her. "And what will wailing and moping do for you? Learn not to make the same mistake, and not to make worse ones."the older one whispered in a silky comforting voice. They both had a piont. She should have listened, but she didn't have to ponder on it forever.
