"To be free...I can say, there is something I'm...keeping under lock and key."She replied. "My grandparents weren't much. They just thought I was nothing for my pelt, thinking that I should have been the daughter of a tiger instead. They chortled and gagged with laughter at me for my striped back and paws. When I found them dead after my parents, I wasn't really surprised. They had it coming."she admitted to him. She was being honest.

She heard what he had said about her father, almost feeling like a small twitch of a grin could have crossed her face, even if it really stayed as blank looking as her eyes.. She had known he had wanted to mate with a shade, but she didn't know he had worked for Normady. Normady's wild laugh seemed to ring out through the room. She had begun to open her eyes at a slower pace, her eyelids falling lower and lower over her eyes. She looked back at the small opening that looked like a window, and saw that it was night. The stars glittered and danced in the sky. It was too late for her to go back, or even leave the citidel. She had been afraid of this.

She slowly turned back to Normady, her eyelids covering a quarter of her eyes. She needed him to answer one final question before she figured out what to do about a resting place. "I need to know one last thing. Why are you interested in me?" she asked him in a calm voice. But she hadn't notice how thick the haze from the smoke that surrounded them was. It seemed to swirl before her, but she stayed focused, her blank expression unwavering. The only time you could catch her without that blank stare was in her sleep. In her sleep, she was alertless, unattentive.

ooc: So far, Cloudandis accidentaly got caught by Normady when she accidentaly was disguissed as a shade, and Lorak and Aiano are talking at camp. Rin is also at camp. The last posts from pages 27 to page 28 should explain. Katana is being talked to by Cloudandis's hunting patrol. =0

IC: "why didn't you tell me sooner! ware are they i got to save her" he paced back and forth with the increasing anger and worry. he cold not bare the thought of one of the pack getting hurt and that the fact one of them turned made him even angrier. so it is in his nature to. "no im getting to far in-head of myself... you three rest for a bit, lets just hope cloudandis dose not get hurt." he sat down watching for any thing that moved.

"Yeah, It's already night time. We've got no choice but to look tommorrwo."they agreed. They paddeed of to the hunters den for a well earned rest.

Cloudandis wavered on the memory of her parents. They hadn't exactly been hall of fame goody goodies. They were more like the slaughter-house-and-meat-chopper type. Sha hadn't enjoyed her childhood around them. It was her merceless killer side that had seemed to facinate her grandparents and parents before they all died though. She had never givin even a fox kit pity when she killed it. Always slaying the creatures that she felt were a threat, but that didn't seem to be the case. She had only ever slaughtered enemies.

Cloudandis still had that one thing that was left unknown. Why didn't the pack like her? One of the obviouse reasons was because she wasn't pack born. But what else? Lost in her thoughts, she watched the smoke that trapped her in the room dance out before her and make immages of what was her memory. She didn't see why the shade king would be interested in her. She just wasn't the type who could be overpowered with fear and temptation, and she didn't care to let her enemies live.

She had semiconciously layed herself in a type of kneeling position, alomost as if to lay down. Her exhaustion seemed to be overtaking her senses as she slumped down on the floor, unaware of the ever darkening room. The moonlight shown in through a window like opening in the wall and the room was very dimly lit, the red tapastries now a dark blue and gold.

Normandy stopped his laughter and turned his golden eyes toward the she wolf. "Why you ask me? Well im curious about that myself," He tilted his head thoughtfully. "I grow bored of things easily. Ive grown bored of being a shade, why do you think i take this shape? Ive grown bored of being a king and various other things. Nothing thrills me anymore. Yet every now and again i find something to excite me. The last thing that did this to my heart was a she wolf named Analiya. Boy was she a looker. Just the tilt of her head and she could have had any wolf she wanted."
Normandy licked his lips for a moment as if he was thinking about fresh kill. "Yet, she somehow managed to find herself falling for me," he shook his head as if he couldnt understand it. "I was in the middle of my hostile take over plan and she came to me. She sauntered on over and told me how she felt. Now you see im not exactly the type of guy that wants a little brat to take over my kingdom so i told her off a few times but she kept coming back. That made me feel strange. Why would she keep coming to me even after ive practically bitten her head off trying to keep her away? This excited me." Normandy rolled off of his couch and stepped closer to Cloudandis.
"She was a strange one that was for sure. Whe she found out what i really was she left of course. I couldnt find and that made me furious. I chased her down many times and when i was absolulty sure i had caught her she vanished in to thin air. No matter how i searched i couldnt find her. Yet i knew somewhere in my nonexsisting heart that something was wrong. All kings get this sense you know. I had a brat of my own out there somewhere. I only just met him though. Looks just like me when he's all transformed. Looks just like his mom normally though..." Normandy fell in to thought for a moment.
"On the other hand, I'd still like to ring his scrawny neck," he threw his head back and let out a billowing laugh. "Now as for you, like i said. Anything that interests me i want to keep around. You act like a shade but you are a wolf. That excites me to no end. I want to figure out how you tick." The dark king stepped forward so he was only a breath away from her. "You give me feelings that ive only known a few times in my life." THe creature's eyes lit up with dark delight. "I'd like to keep you around but i dont think that would make you happy. For tonight you can sleep here and i will take you personally back to the border. No tricks, no strings attached." His lips pulled up in to a twisted grin, "We got a deal?"

He was close enough for Cloudandis to feel his breath down her neck. But she still didn't waver."Yes, of course."she answered him. "Thank you for your hospitality." she told him. She curled up on a soft looking sofa and went into a black world of smoke, as she always did when she slept. She was greatful for a place to rest. The shade king and the surrounding room still remained in her mind, and she could still hear his laughter. The words he had said to her still remained in her mind.

"Anything that interests me I want to keep around. You act like a shade but you are a wolf. That excites me to no end. I want to figure out how you tick. You give me feelings that Ive known only a few times in my life."

Did he really find her that interesting? So many questions raced in her mind and vanished as the night waned on,her heart skipping a beat. He had said that he lived to find what excited him. And she seemed to know yet another secret in life. No purpose was givin, but just found by a person. Creatures only existed to be there. But even if she had accepted this reality long ago, she could still feel something missing.

Normandy watched as the she wolf fell asleep. He wasnt sure if she believed him or not but that would be her problem to deal with either way. The great shade king stepped out of his dark room and out on to his balchony. The world was washed in darkness. Not even the moon's light could make it seem any nicer. The world was black and charred. Red cracks ran through the shade's entire kingdom. This was the world that Normandy had been born in to. They had lived in another world from this for the longest time. They had been removed from the world by ancient wolves and forced to live in this nightmare. Now the decendents of those wolves had to pay. He had brought his prison to their world and forced them to live from day to day in it. No more where the mountains with white caps or waterfalls of the purest blue.
Normandy had only witnessed those joys once before his destiny approached. THis was the world he had to live in and that was how it would stay. A sigh passed across the wolf form's mouth. He hated being trapped in this confining body. He had lived in it for a few years before he had shown who he truly was again. NOw he could choose whenever he wanted to change. Yet with all this glory and power, he had grown bored again. The king had lived for to long in such command. He hated it. Everything that is and was he hated. This world could burn and he wouldnt care. Nothing provided that spark of life that he so desperatly sought out. However even with this vunerable part of his soul the king was still insane. Death and destruction was all he knew. It was what he was good at. Yet with Cloudandis sleeping so near, he felt a bit at peace. He would keep his word and bring her to her border tomorrow. However, what happened after that was up in the air.

ooc: Cna we do a time skip? can't really post anything at night. Hard to think of what to post.

ic: Cloudandis felt the sun's ray shining on her the next morning as she woke up. She felt confused, and then remembered yesterday. She had been caught by Normady and he was going to personaly escort her to the border. She didn't know about beleiving him, but it was better than sitting in the citidel all day long. She climbed off of the couch she had slept on and stood in the room, shaking herself awake. Normady was no where to be found in the room. She decided to wait for him before continuing whatever she was doing. She didn't quite understand what it was, but she didn't need to remember.

ooc: Okay, I'll edit really quick. =)

ic: Cloudandis stepped out onto the balcony, but not too far. She saw shades watchin g her and walking around leasurly as if this was a normal place to live in, without a care in the world, except for Norm. WHere was he? She stepped back into the Citidel and sat there for a few moments in thought. SHe'd woken up late that morning. Oh well, her fault for picking a squashy and soft couch.

She looked over the balcony and watched the shades move on with their own everyday tasks. Scout shades fluttered above her and around the territory, and grunts were buissying themselves by bringing in shade bait. Other shades were talking and watching what came in and out. Normady must have doubled his security after seeing how she got in. Or the shades had decided to be more carefull.

She didn't really mind the shades, but she still didn't pity them. The scout shades watched her and one came down and sat on her shouldier. "And you are?" it cawed at her with an icy tone, digging its talons deep into her shouldier. She didn't answer. Instead, as she sat there, she smacked it down on the ground as easily as if it had been a fly. She then crushed its neck and left it at her paws. The shade should have been more carefull. You don't just insult someone like that. It was rude.
