IC: Fire against water? Kori thought. All righty then. "Daeja, grab onto him!" The small, alligator-like Pokémon managed to get a hold on Inferno as he tackled him, though it was a very loose one, one that was weakening fast.
"Quickly, use sratch!" he followed up, watching as Daeja tried to get into a position to rake his claws against Inferno.

Inferno easily wriggled out of the grip, leaving Daeja standing. "Inferno, use quick attack again, and this time try to follow it with a stronger tackle!" jen called to him as he rappidly closed in on Daeja. Inferno smacked him down and then leapt back as to assure Jen that Daeja wouldn't get to grab him so easily this time. He then rapidly circled the confused totodile, becomig a blur as he had done before, making sure to switch direction without going in a predictable pattern.

IC: "Clever," Kori called, seeing how Daeja was beginning to become confused. He had learned of a couple of ways to cure that, one of which was a simple tactic that, he recalled, Ash Ketchum had used in battle with the Frontier Brain Anabel. He raised Daeja's Pokéball. "Return!" A thin red beam shot out, striking the Totodile and reeling it back in. Instead of sending out a new Pokémon, however, he tossed Daeja's back into the air; the alligator emerged once more, cured of his confusion.

"Confusion 101," he explained, grinning. "Daeja, spray the ground with Water Gun!"
As commanded, the Totodile unleashed a small jet of water on the ground around it, quickly turning the dirt into mud and effectively slowing down the enemy Pokémon.
"Use scratch again!" Kori ordered.

"Inferno, jump into the old holes that Blaze made! They're filled with mud, but I see a way through!"Jen called out. Infeno immediatly dissapeared into the old holes wich were now full of mud. But certain areas provided air holes. Now, her pokemon was camoflaged, and if he came out, he would be indistinguishable from the bsattle feild. "Inferno, use bite!"Jen called out. Inferno burst from his muddy covering, and locked his small yet strong fangs onto Daeja's tail. The stubby arms wouldn't be able to reach behind, Daeja couldn't bite Inferno's tail because he barly had one, and with all that mud, it would be hard to move Inferno from the spot. And even if Daeja somehow managed to get ahold of Inferno, he could easily slip through the muddy coat he had back into the ground. But she knew that Daeja and Kori would finds a way to get around it. They were pretty good with the well known tactics of Ash Ketchum. And that meant they could most definatly beat her pokemon without a sweat.

IC: "Stay calm, Daeja!" Kori yelled, even as the Totodile struggled frantically to get free. "Daeja -- do a reverse tackle!" Daeja seemed confused for a moment, staring with panic at Kori. "I'm serious -- hurry!"
Daeja shook his head. Then, planting his feet firmly on the ground, he kicked backwards, knocking himself into Inferno. The force of the attack was enough to release his grip, and Daeja was sent rolling over the hole that the Houndour had retreated into. Kori breathed a sigh of relief.
"Now, quickly -- water gun into that hole!" he called. Daeja reacted immediately, turning to the nearest hole and spraying a slightly larger amount of water into it. Kori's hopes were that the tunnel system would get so wet that Inferno would be forced out. If not... Well, he didn't know what would happen after that.

Inferno saw the water come in, and took Jens signal. "Inferno, double rout!"she called. Inferno knew what to do. Daeja and Kori might think that if he started another tunnel base, that they would just melt together and collaps, right? Or would he think that? She knew otherwise. "Inferno, blast the mud with a fire attack!"she told him. Inferno shot out a few ember attacks straight at the tunnels that Daeja was able to access in and out of. They dried up faster and became solid. "Inferno, dig!"she called out. Inferno started a completley different tunnel chain away from the one Daeja was in, but made sure it looked like they actually connected. That would confuse Daeja. "Now, make sure the tunnels are hot! Heat up the water in the tunnels that Daeja is in too!" Jen called. Inferno hit the water with his ember attacks, adding more power to increase the heat. He then dived into his dry tunnel system and made sure that it was super hot. She could feel the heat that came from the tunnels. No way anything other than a fire type like inferno could go in there. But she knew that Kori might still find a way out and in. He would, even if it seemed immpossible.

IC: "Hm," Kori coughed. He wasn't quite sure what Jen had just done, nor did he know why she thought Daeja had gone into the hole... "Daeja, cover the field in water again!" The Totodile did as instructed once again, spraying water all around it and turning the field into an even bigger marsh. Houndour was still underground, inside of its tunnels.
"Good; now, take a break," he raised Daeja's Pokéball, returning him into it, at least for now. "Go, Kitheus!"

He tossed his last Pokéball into the air, releasing his Magnemite.
"Use Thundershock on the ground!" Kori called. Kitheus complied, sending a steady stream of electricity into the watery ground. If he was right, that should make it impossible for Houndour to emerge without being hurt...

Jenknew what to do. "Blaze, quick, jump out and use ember!"she called. Her Houndor fled from the hole just as magnamite shocked it, the electricity missing y just and inch. He wouldn't be able to land without getting shocked. If he landed. "Keep yourself up! Use your ember attack as much as possible!"Jen toldd him. Blaze threw out as many powerfull embers as he could muster to the ground, and each time they bumped him up into the air. The ground was beginning to dry up with the ember attacks

It was safe to land. "Al right, attack Kitheus with one of your embers!"she called out. She was guessing this time. She had seen how fire melted metal, and since magnamite was and electric type and looked like he was made out of steel, the metal would get extreemly hot, and only Her fire type, Inferno, would be able to hit him. This would also cause magnamite to feel pain from its own body.

Inferno hit Kitheus with several ember attacks, fighting as hard as he could, remembering not to land on the wet parts of the battle feild. "Quick, now tackle him down!"Jen commanded. Inferno charged at Kitheus with all of his speed, hitting him hard.

OOC: Auto-hitting - don't forget it. ;)

IC: Kitheus spun, dodging several embers though getting hit by others. Kori noted that Inferno ws about to tackle, so he quickly thought of a strategy.
"Kitheus, use Thundershock on yourself!" he yelled, even as the Houndour made contact with the electric-type. As he did so, a burst of electricity shot from Kitheus, striking both of the Pokémon. They landed in the marsh, and the extra electricity from Kitheus surged outward.

Kori frowned, waiting for them to stand up. Presently, Kitheus levitated up again, grimacing in pain. He seemed to be okay. Houndour pushed itself as well.

ooc: oops! Sorry, I'll atch that.

ic: Inferno stood, static electricity making his fur stand on end. He gave out a growl. Jen wasn't too surprised. She could think outside the box, but other people could counter those thoughts. Jen turned to her pokeballs. Should she retreat? Shinxs was a good fighter. But Inferno could still fight. She decided that she would if Inferno got to banged up. "All right, Inferno, use your quick attack to get to him!"Jen called out. Infeno ran faster than normally, and was immediatly next to Kitheus. "Use ember!"Jen commanded. Blaze was close enough to get a hold on Kitheus, but did as Jen said. He remembered how he had been electricuted by touching the enemy pokemon. He noticed how hot Kitheus was. That was good. Now to get him to heat p a bit more. He shot several ember attacks, making sure his footing was good and he wasn't near wet ground.
