"I'm fine just feeling a little faint" he said hoping he sounded convincing. The reason he was left behind was because he was trying to get back to his room and find his bag. Easton has type one diabetes and if he didn't take his insulin his blood sugar could bottom out and the end result would not be good. He took her hand and got up then let it go and shoved them in his pockets becasue they were shaking. 'How am I going to get back to my room? What happens when I run out? Will they let me just die in here?' all these thoughts were running through his mind.

ALexia felt im shake as he let her hand go. Something seemed odd. SHe looked outside. She could here him semiconciousley breathing heavily. Was he sick? Did he have a medic condition? Maybe that's why he had been outside in the first place. She gave a small shudder. A person with a medic condition-they could die. SHe came up to where she had last found him. "Are you...where is your room?" she asked. "I used to be working as a nurse, so don't think I don't know a medical problem when I hear one." she whispered.
Easton wasn't planning on saying anything to anybody about it but he figure he'd stand a better chance if someone knew. "I have type one diabetes and I haven't had my insulin in over four hours. My room is on the first top floor and they are crawlin all over the place. We'd never get there alive and I'm not risking your life for mine." Easton's blood sugar was dropping and he searched through his jacket pockets till he found three hershey kisses. He opened one and sat it on his tongue.

ALexia listened well. "Maybe if I remember the route up in the attic we could get there. If we're here, then it should be at a ladder somewhere in this room." she said. But she kept her voice low so as not to make the new clear to everyone else. "Don't worry. I'm not going to let another resident here die." she said. It was true. Many of the dead residents were or had been close to her.
Easton felt terrible having to rely on Alexia again. "I feel like a burden." he said softly to her looking around for the ladder. He saw the faint outline of a square on the ceiling and said "I found a small square in the ceiling and I think that might be it. Won't it look weird if we just crawl into the ceiling never to be seen again." he said adding the last part for dramatic effect along with a shaky laugh.

Alexia gave him a grin, turning to his voice. "Don't worry. None of the other residents seem to go up to the attic. It's the unused part of the building." she explained. "it would be wierd though." SHe felt around the wall. It was right next to the light switch. SHe found it and exteneded her hands to the squar. She pulled it down and climbed upwards. "Let's go." she said with a slight laugh.
"I would offer to go first but seeings how it is dark up here and I won't be able to see anything plus there is the threat of me falling and crushing you." Easton smiled as he found another kiss and put it into his mouth. Crawling in after her he hoped the attic would be large enough for him to stand comfortably but he had no such luck. If he stood up straight he would smack his head on the ceiling so he resorted to slumping and hunching.

ic: Alexia gave a laugh. Aparently, the others hadn't noticed their dissapearence. She stood in the attic. SHe could only just touch the ceiling, but she would have to jump to touch it with her fingers. She walked through, hearing Easton's breathing as he moved around. The wood creaked a bit, sounding as if he was concentrating his weight in one area. "Let's go." she whispered, walking through. SHe knew this place so well. She didn't crash into a wall once, and she didn't have to hold her hands out. It was like seeing. She enjoyed the feeling. But she went slow. Many pople had told her this place was always dark. SHe had stored a flash light up here too. But what if Easton couldn't see? It would be like her. But his blindness was only temporary.
Easton soon stopped cracking jokes and laughing and instead concentrated on not passing out in the dark of the attic. "I don't see how you are able to do this." he whispered "I would have given up long ago because photography is my life and I wouldn't be able to take picture without my sight." He told her just to try and fill the void. He tried to catch up with Alexia but he stumbled unable to see anything. Easton kept stumbling as he shuffled through the dark and was unable to keep up but he didn't complain. 'It would be much easier if I could hold onto her but she is already doing so much I don't want to ask.' he thought silently.

Alexia heard his stumbling and stopped for a bit. "East? You still there?" she whispered into the darkness of the attic. She suspected that he wasn't accustomed to this. She was though-considering she was used to not being able to see. "East, I've stored a flash light over here." she said, picking it up. SHe handed it over to him. "I can hear ya know." she giggled.
