Flick watched Alexia, then offered to take one. "I can do it, if you don't want to. Or, maybe I'll just go take care of that John guy," he suggested. He heard the breathing of the woman and the crying of the girl. He suddenly felt a tear fall down his cheek. He had known that girl and her mother. He wiped away the tear and got back to the matter at hand.

"No. I'll do it, they're here. I did know them. They live in the apartment across-apartment ten." she answered. They had been good friends. The little girl gave a cry as her mother got up from the eisle, blood staining her shirt. She heard foam coming from the woman's mouth, and ran with a sedative. "Not your daughter Janice! Not your daughter!" she cried. SHe stabbed the sedative in, and Janice gave a gasp. SHe looked at Alexia with her eyes, blue and finally back. "Yeah-not my daughter." she gave a chuckle. "Thanks. And hi FLick...guess this is a bad time." she laughed. But she heaved on last breath, and fell onto Alexia's shouldier. Alxia sat her in the chair, the little girl watching with scared eyes. It was Amber."AMber-it's alright." she said, hugging her. But she felt the little girl tighten her grip. SHe smelled the acrid tinge of blood. SHe looked at Amber's back-there was a wound." MY mommy...." Amber whimpered.

Flick held out his hand to Alexia. "I need one for John," he said, hand shaking with fear and regret. How could he create something that would leave a girl without a mother? He forced back a river of tears, and he just started to shake more. He felt his body weakening. Who knew stress could do this to someone? He thought about what had happened. He had created the disease, then lockedit up. How had it gotten out? It was under a complex surveilance that only Flick could understand.

Alexia nodded. "I'll go with you-we need the whole pack." she said, getting a back pack. She put the medical pack in it and all of the sedatives, handing one to FLick. "I know who can take care of Amber-but AMber got hurt. I don't know if she's infected or not." she said. ut Amber didn't Foam or seem to go numb. "Once we've done that, I need to show you guys a video that could kill the virus-it has a lot to do with it." she said.

Flick shook his head. "You can't. The power's out," he said, shuddering at the thought of watching a video about the subject. He took the sedative and headed out of the room into the main room. He looked at Hayley. He didn't want to tell her. He didn't want to kill anyone else. He sighed deeply, but it was shaky. "We have to kill him, to keep everyone else safe." Flick looked at Lilly, hoping Hayley would get the picture and agree with him.

Alexia came in with the sedatives. "Guys-the virus has a link with a certain type of rabies." she said. "Fick-I have a cell phone. It has videos onyou Tube, so don't worry. It's a security cam vid. Anyways, it could help us get rid of this virus. And if people out in the hall are getting infected-so are the residents downstairs. We have to hurry. The video is for those who think they could get something out of it." she explained. She heard footsteps and AMber walked into the room. "Can I help?" she asked. "I have the video on my camera. Mommy recorded it and put it on there for when I'm older." she explained. Alexia stood rigid. "Wait-why did you run to my room when you were attacked?" she asked. Amber shifted a little. "My mommy handed me a note. It said that ZI had to go there and wait for you and Mr. Flick to come in. It said that you guys were supposed to go in there." she replied.

Flick inhaled sharply. He didn't want to watch a stupid video about what he had created and how to cure it. Alexia was right about the rabies part, but at the moment there was no cure. He scratched his head with a trembling hand. "I really don't think that's necessary, uh, Alexia," he whispered. He forced himself to stop trembling and stand tall. He liked to voice his opinions, but he wasn't about to tell these people why he didn't want to watch the video. He'd have to explain about the disease, they'd ask how he knew, and his life would be thrown away.

Alexia nodded. SOmething told her he knew more than he was telling, but she held her tongue. Amber walked over to Flick, handing over the camera. "My mommy told me to give it to you.Z" she said. Alexia picked up her pack. "I'll leave you folks with hald of the sedatives." she said, handing him a box. "I need to check my room and the downstairs area." SHe explained. Amber followed her as she walked out into the hall, graspingher hand. Her grip was firm. "Can we check my apartment?" she asked. ALexia sighed. "Sure. But stay close. If you want to be safe, I need to get you to your aunt Liz." ALexia answered. She peeked back into the room. "Stay safe guys, we'll be back."

Flick looked at the camera. He didn't want to see what it had on it. He set it on the couch and took the sedative. He looked back at Hayley. "It's up to you," he said, beginning to shake again. This couldn't be happening. He was trapped inside an apartment building, with the disease that he had created! Why had he made a disease like that? He let out a breath. This couldn't be how it ended, with a sickness that came from his fingertips.
