Aiyanna smiled at him and leaned against him for a second before asking again "How come you keep up a mask? It's like you have a wall built to keep people out. Do you not trust anybody or do you just not want them to trust you?" SInce he was opening up to her she was going to see how far she could go with it. These are questions she had been asking herself since she could ponder.

Cloudandis collected her [atrol of Holly, tensock, nami, and snap, who eagerly followed. They wanted to defend their terra just as much as Rach seemed to, and didn't joke about it. CLoudandis and Tensock [atroled from the skies, and the other three made sure the lower border was secure. However, cloudandis spotted a metawolf stalking Snap, Nami, and Holly. In fact a few. SHe also saw a terrable sight. Kanrik's body lay sprawled on the forest floor, and Aza was crying over his body. SOme metawolves surrounded her. THey looked like they were from the Ohu pack. "TENSOCK, NAMI, SNAP, HOLLY, DOWN THERE NOW!" she cried.

Kodiak wasnt sure if he should move away or not but looking at Aiyana's face he sighed and let her lean on his shoulder. "That's just how I am." He barked and decided to ask the wolf some questions too. "Why are you so cheery all the time?"

Cloudandis and her patrol attacked the metawolves surrounding Aza and Kanrik with full force. "Aza, what happened?!" cloudandis asked as she threw a few off of her. "They ambushed him." she whimpered. CLoudandis could see this wasn't a trap, those metawolves had literally murdered Kanrik. She gave out a howle to signal Rach's patrol that a battle had broken out. She watched as Tensock helped Aza collect more forces to fight the enemy. They would need more to fight this dangerouse threat.

"Because I'm all that's left of my family. I have to be happy or I'll be ruined. I can't afford to be sad all the time or grumpy. I'd be dead." Aiyanna told him like it was obvious. "Would you rather me be all sad and lonely and angst?" she asked him.

Rach heard Cloudandis and called to his patrol. "Come on!" he howled shooting to where the beta had called, electricity of his rager side flaring. He lighted next to the scene. He looked at Kanrik. "No..." he whispered. He looked around. The pack was stunned. "Who did these?" Rach snarled, fury boiling in his stomach.

CLoudandis gave another howle and then cut it off sharply. They fought the enemy metawolves of the Ohu pack with brute foce but more troops were starting to come. Aza and her fighters attacked with strength and passion, but not as much. Cloudandis spotted some of the enemy moving Kanrik's body. "GEt off of their leader!" Tensock and SNap growled, slashing left and right and managing to cause the ones grabbing Kanrik to now be blind.Cloudandis turned to Rach and explained. "Aza says they ambushed them as they were on a patrol." she quickly replied, knocking a few off of the terra.

Kodiak strained his ears and her a very faint howl. 'Other wolves?' he thought and looked back at Aiyana. "Guess not, humph it you werent so hyper and persistant you wouldve given up on talking to me and then I would never have had this talk with you, or wouldve even let you walk with me." He tried not to smile but something inside him wanted the male wolf to just burst out laughing and just quit being serious for a moment.
