"Dying...doesn't do anything." Arina replied. "facts of life-dying causes more pain for the dead and living, emotionally and physically. Fact 2~Nothing ever goes according to plan for one person, no matter what or who. Something will always interupt it. Fact 3~you need to see the joy of what you have, because you don't know what you have until it is gone. Fact 4~All living creatures die, without exception. Those are some of the facts of life." Arina explained. And they were all true. "You have a sister. What would she do without you? She would be dead, and she loves you. She would be devistated if anything were to happen to you." she told River, her voice chilled. Lucy's breathing had become much healthier and calmer, and all that cleaning up she had done had made Lucy look a few years younger and much prettier.
Dakota watched as Arina helped Lucy out. Smiling she got up and walked over to the arena to see the leader pinning Apollo down again. Sighing she stayed quiet this time just hoping Apollo would apologize.
River looked up at Arina sadly. "Maybe... But the truth is were never gonna esacpe are we? Were stuck here and eventually we'll end up just like Lucy!"" She cried her eyes dull.
Arina licked the pup affectionally. It was lucky she'd washed her mouth. "It's okay. I know how to getout, and I won't let them touch you or Night Shadow." she said. She looked over to Dakota and gave her a light, yet worried smile. She hoped Apollo and Dakota wouldn't get hurt...she needed to protect River and Nightshadow. One fact she hadn't told them-that sometimes a dog is loyal to doing one thing, and once it is done, they will no longer have the will to live. Her goal was to keep River and Nightshadow alive and wll until it was all over and everyoone had escaped.
Spectre went over to Lucy and rubbed her back as Arina shifted, still keeping her warm. "It'll be okaay. A fluffy kitty, two pups, and a big dog have got you covered. We won't let them touch you." he assured her. "Now stay warm. We don't want you to get sick. And your face is all pretty now~ Just look." he said. He saw a peice of flat metal and put it in front of Lucy. He could see her clearly in it-fur radient and clean.
River shook her head sadly looking out through a hole in the wall at the city far below. Words meant little now...
Lucy moaned as she began to come around. She felt a cold metal object by her nose and jumped back in surprie. "Who's there?" She cried, her body shaking.
Spectre laughed. "It's okay, just-" but then he remembered. She was blind. How could he not have known?! He gently put his tail to her shouldier. Her fur must feel better without all those fleas and that dirt and blood in it. "It's me, Spectre. And Arina, CLyde, Nighty, and River." he told her.
"Clyde?" Lucy asked her voice edged with fear. Was this another dog who wanted to touch her? Or was he here to torment her? She crushed herself in to the corner of her cage her sightless eyes wide. She didn't want to be touched she couldn't.... She collapsed yet again but jumed up scrabbling madly. Her fur pushed up against the bars. She'd dropped in to a a submissive stance shaking wildly.
OOC: pffff it's tipping it down outside! What a nasty day!
ic: Arina quickly tried Calmling Lucy down. "It's okay, he's a nice dog, he doesn't care for that." she said. SHe glared at Clyde. If he said anything to scare Lucy she'd kill him. Spectre was trying to make Lucy relax by purring near her. "It's okay~no one's gonna hurt you." he told her witha reassuring purr. If anyone could calm a dog down, it was Spectre.
"Where is he?" She barked still edged up along the back of the cage. She gave out a cry as a guard nipped her back as he passed by the cage. "Shut up Lucy!" He snarled. She stood in the centre of the cage thrustibg her head around wildly.
Arina pinned Lucy down. "don't worry! He's at the other end of the cage!" she told her. SHe gave a booing bark to the gaurd who ran off. She wasn't letting HIM or any one touch Lucy. Spectre gave a shocked hiss at the booming bark, which seemed to echo around the camp. Arina got up and sat at the edge of the cage, glaring at the leader. If he came near Lucy she would kill him...
