IC: Dakota stared at the scene before her and blinked in shock. The fight seemed like it only lasted a few minutes and now River looked like she was about to meet her death. Looking at the leader her neck fur raised and she stared at him growling with all her hate.
Arina couldn't help it. She walked forewards. "River, you need to live for your sister, Nightshadow. Remember what I told you about life?" she asked. "Dying...doesn't do anything." Arina repeated, for the first time since they'd been out of the cages."facts of life-dying causes more pain for the dead and living, emotionally and physically. " tears came from her eyes now."Fact 2~Nothing ever goes according to plan for one person, no matter what or who. Something will always interupt it. " This was an example of now, what was happening."Fact 3~you need to see the joy of what you have, because you don't know what you have until it is gone." she couldn't finish and her voice cracked.
The leader laughed. "Awwww look at you lot all getting emotional over this little brat." He eyed them all. "I hold her life in my jaws literally. Waht you gonna do?"
Dakota stepped forward and stared at the leader intensly. "Why are you doing this? Why do you like making others suffer?" She questioned and shook her head alittle. Yeah, he was mean and seemed like he had no heart but deep inside he was juat like each of them. He cared for someone and loved just like they did.
The leader rolled his eyes. "I have no time for your petty begging mutt. Now present me with a decent reason for letting her live, because you havent presented me with even one yet." He cackled madly. River just stared dully.
Arina snarled. "because-she's your barganing tool. If you kill her, you'll die anyhow." and she calmed herself. "Just take the offer and make the switch." she said. "What good would it do for you to kill her? TO make us feel pain? Is that it?!" She barked. "And when that pain is caused, it will beunleashed upon you filthy scum bag! It will come and it will tear you to shreds!" she barked. Memories flooded back to her. Her parents playing with her, then getting taken to the pound. Her father making her escape and the tears. And then she walked away, and when she did, she met a cat who's parents had been run over. He was scared at first, but they became friends. He was Spectre. She snarled at him. SHe knew herself. It was all unraveling.
The leader smiled. "Good point, always knew you were the smart one." A suden thought crossed his mind. "I'll release her but I want Lucy back. She bears my pups so is mine."
Dakota growled and shook her head. "You cant have Lucy! I promised I would protect her and you not laying one paw on her." She couldnt help but growl furiously at the leader and she took a step forward. "Pick something else." She growled and lowered her head.
Arina gave a snarl. "What?!" she barked. She wouldn't giv eup Lucy! But River...tow lives were at stake. And Lucy had seen enough. "Listen, just take my offer. I'll go with you in Lucy and River's place please, don't take them." She barked. She sat still, fur flattened. She was not letting Lucy get taken. And River wouldn't go either. "Listen, she's in labor. What if she were hurt? All this fighting could have killed the pups." SHe barked.
The leader laughed and backed away from the dogs. "I will give you to evening to decide. The pup or Lucy. Come and tell me your decision later. I'll be waiting."
