Arina turned and faced Lucy, eyes full of concern. "No! You're not trash." She said. "None of us are. we've stuck together like a family would." she said. "Family isn't who's blood you carry. It's who you love, and who loves you. And because we all stick up for eachother, we're staying together. No one's going to be taken by that pathetic monster." she barked. Carvern gave her a quizical stare. "We can help." he said. Chakta looked up, her facve serious. "After all, the pups are the future for you dogs."
Apollo looked at his paws. He sighed. "I'm going with you Lucy. We stick to the plan," he said. He looked at Dakota, then Lucy. "No one is going to die except this idiot leader. We stick together, understand?" he barked.
Richter stepped out of the shadows. "I'm on your side all the way!" he called. Apollo looked at him, a strange look in his eyes, but then shrugged. "Anything for another dog on our side. I'm Apollo," he said. Richter dipped his head. "I'm Richter."

Arina turned to face the dog. THis was the one from before. SHe still didn't trust him, but if he and these new dogs would help Lucy and River, then fine. If they messed up once, the last hting thye wpuuld see were her ivory fangs on their throats. Chakta and Carvern gave Apollo a nervous glance. "We wish to help too." Chakta said. "We've been watching that ambitious leader. He needs to learn his place." Carvern barked. Arina still gave hima bit of a foul glare, but seemed to give into sense. She still wouldn't trust them though. She Let Spectre off and walked away from the group of dogs, but hte crazy cat clung like a monkey. "Someone please take the monkey." Arina said. Spectre gave a laugh. "I'm no monkey, check out that cat!" He laughed, ppointing his tail at Chakta, who was trying to keep her grip on Carvern as he tried to get her off.
Apollo sighed. "Very well." He looked out at the night. He tried to remember more of what happened before a few nights ago. As far as he knew, he was talking with some other when a wind filled the air. It smelled weird, and he thought that might have been what had made them black out and lose their memories, but he wasn't sure of his mind anymore. There was no such thing as leader in this place, not with all the dogs in your own pack trying to take your place! He growled softly, thinking of how they were difficult, making decisions without him knowing, and not even letting him be the leader he knew he could be!

Spectre stopped squirming and hopped onto Carvern as Arina walked off. SHe looked at Apollo. He looked angry about something. THen she remembered. He hadn't made all of the descisions that had gone through. He must be upset that they were doing everything he should be. But she held her tongue. To speak about it could make the problem worse. She went back to taking a walk and vanished into the bushes. Chakta walked up to Apollo, examining him. "Hm, you smell like the domonant one. Are you-the leader?" she asked.
Apollo looked down at Chakta. "I am," he growled. He walked over to Lucy. "I'm going with you," he whispered to her, being sure not to get too close to the fussy dog. He raised his voice. "I'll go with Lucy but I want everyone else positioned in places where they can all leap in and attack!" he ordered.
Richter nodded to Apollo. He shuffled his paws. He knew the leader's strength, but if he was weakened by the fight before, and they had strength in numbers, everything would be okay.

Chakta gave him a glare and walked up to Spectre, while Carvern took a position in a tree, high, but he could attack and sleep up there. Spectre and Chakta took positions opposite of him. Arina however, didn't just yet. She was gathering spiderwebs. She had an idea. If they hadto, maybe she could make the leader get stuck to the ground with those. She looked at Apollo. Putting down her clump, she went over. "Say, Apollo." she was a bout to aks, but saw he was buissy with Lucy. "Nevermind." she said. SHe backed off a few pawsteps.
Lucy looked at Apollo her eyes sad. "I don't need pity and neither do my pups... He'll treat them well even if he won't me... Please don't risk your lives... I mean nothing...."
Apollo's face softened. "You're not nothing. You're everything to a lot of my dogs here. We'll all die to protect you. If you think he'll treat the pups well, we'll leave him the pups, but there's no way we're going to let him hurt you." The mountain dog smiled. Then he turned to Arina. "Did you need me for something?" he asked. The edge to his voice was gone, and he felt back to his own self again.

Arina turned to him. "i had an idea with the spider webs. SOme of them stick for a while, even a few days." she said. "Now, wha if we could manage to get him and Gizmo both stuck in the spot, and then it would be easier to save River and protect Lucy." she explained. "Yes, I know it''s not exactly smart, but maybe it could work." she said.
