The leader narrowed his eyes. "I think we should have attacked a long time ago is what I think!" he barked. He turned to his mate. "Of course, it is what you think is right," he said, tail flicking. He didn't care about a stupid pup. He just needed his pack to sink their teeth into something. It had been far too long since they had last attacked someone.

Richter's face lit up when he heard the leader's comment. His ears pricked with hope. Maybe this was a good sign and they could save River and Lucy and everyone else, AND kill off the pack of wild dogs. Plus, they might have The Fang on their side. It was like knocking out a thousand birds with one stone.
