It's been five moons since I last saw him and I'm dying to see him tonight. I have to be extra careful when I sneak out because I think Robinpaw has started to suspect something is going on. I have been really tired lately and since he sleeps right next to me now I have to worry about waking him up when I leave. Although the risk is great and I am scared Robinpaw will find out I still wake up before moon high and head to the meeting place. As I raise myself out of my mossy bed I look at the other apprentices and start to sneak out of the den passing Robinpaw on my way. Looking out I find the all the other cats asleep and I quickly dart across the open space of the camp and out the entrance. At first I went out behind the nursery but when I slipped and nearly got caught I decided to leave via the entrance.
I couldn't get my legs to move fast enough across the woody territory and to the border. After what seemed likean eternity The Cove appeared in the distance and I raced down the tunnel to the hollow at the bottom. When I got there I was nearly out of breath but I was glad to have gotten there without being caught. While I waited for Oakpaw I decided to get some water from the stream that ran through the middle of The Cove. The cold liquid was welcomed after all the running I had to do. Just as I was sitting down Oakpaw came around the corner and I was right back to standing. He walked at a normal pace towards me and I thought I would scream by the time he made it to me.
"You never fail to get here before me, Inkstar." he purred and licked her muzzle before walking behind her and trailing his tail the small length of her body. Sitting in his usual spot he waited for her to turn around join him.
"I think Robinpaw suspects something is going on. He's been watching me really closely lately." she told him sitting next to him.
"He could be watching you closely because he likes you. Did you ever think of that?" he asked her playing with her tail using his.
"Well I mean I did but that's why this scares me the most. He likes me which means he is going to want to increase his time with me so I won't have a free moment."
"It's not like he sleeps right next to you." When he said this Inkpaw just gave him a look "Well that's not...boarderline stalker." he said laughing.
"This isn't funnny!" she said but couldn't help herself from laughing. "We could seriously be caught and then we'd never be aloud to meet at night or go to gatherings." Inkpaw put her face down in her paws.
"Trust me, we won't be caught. I promise." he said licking her shoulder.
