Whipping his head up, Bearfur looked up with startled eyes at the beaten-up TigerClan cat. A low growl emitted from his throat until he cayght the cats words. Narrowing his eyes with curiosity, he walked over to the frightened tom. Though Bearfur did not trust the cat, he saw some shimmer of fear and franticness behind his andrenline, and held his tongue against the tom. Looking to the two cats at his flanks hissing, he gave them warning looks. "What we do with out little visitor is up to Hornetstar and Emberfang, you two. I understand your worry, but let our leader decide," he reasoned, "Plus, at his current state, what could he do?" Raising an eyebrow at the two, he nodded and turned towards Hornetstar's den where every cat waiting for him to exit. Looking over to Nightfang, he motioned for her to take the intruder's other side. The tension in the air made Bearfur nervous. Adrenaline from the sudden intrusion rushed through his veins, but he ignored the want and need and feeling to fight -- to invade TigerClan. Bearfur was aware it was dangerous, but he knew other cats were feeling the same thing.

Nightfang saw Bearfur's motion and took the Tigerclan warrior's other flank, pushing the other cat that was there out of the way. "I can take care of him. Don't worry," she mewed seeing that she had pushed Jaymask out of the way. She turned her attention to the new cat and realized she didn't really know him. Then again, she didn't know and of the Tigerclan cats. There were no gatherings during this era unlike the ancient clans. They had no more reason to know who the opposing side was then they had in knowing Lionclan. Still, she was curious to know who this cat was. Hornetstar must have heard the commotion because he stepped back out of his den and cast a dark look at the Tigerclan warrior. "What did you say?" their leader questioned.
Thunderstep's heart pounded though the straight brown tom had been a bit more polite than the others. He had not paid attention as the dark tabby she-cat had flanked his other side either. He was only focused on the golden tabby leader. "I said Tigerclan plots an invasion!" The cats around him bristled except one that snarked, "Oh yeah? And why would you tell us that?" Thunderstep turned to look and saw a small blue-gray she cat, the same one the dark tabby had replaced at his side. He turned back to Hornetstar to see the same unbelieving look in his eyes. "Not every Tigerclan cat believes in what our parents tell us. We were told when we were born that we must fight and dominate Lionclan because Starclan told us to." Nearby an aging blue-gray she cat with eyes that were nearly blind let out a gasp of horror, "How dare they?! They know the vision was that the four clans were to be restored!" Thunderstep gulped deeply before responding, "That's not how it was told to us. We were told that our own medicine cat had received a dream many seasons ago before he died. He was told that only Tigerclan was to stand. That the four clans would lead to death and that if Lionclan was left to be on its own it would bring destruction to our forest." Hornetstar bristled and growled, "This is nonsense! Are you some sort of spy sent here trick us? To make us leave the lake so that Tigerclan can move in?" Thunderstep knew they wouldn't believe him, but he still had to try, "No! I'm not a spy! Why would I risk my life by coming here? Look at my scars! Would they do this to me if they were trying to get me to be a spy?" Beside him the dark tabby she-cat hissed, "They would, just to try and convince us further that you aren't." Thunderstep lashed his long-furred tail back and forth, "I am trying to save you all! Why won't you listen?! Tigerclan wants blood, not land. They want to kill you! Get out while you still can!"
Nightfang narrowed her eyes at the tom, "Yeah, and let them take our home." She wasn't about ready to let Tigerclan over run them. The golden brown tom yowled in desperation, "They are recruiting rogues to gain numbers! They don't want just your territory! They instead to slaughter you all!" Nightfang felt her stomach drop. That couldn't be true! From where he stood, Hornetstar's gaze was unreadable. A moment of silence extended around the hollow. Not a breath could be heard as they all waited for Hornetstar's judgement. The golden tom's mouth opened and he spoke, "Take him prisoner. We shall see if he is telling the truth in time. He will stay in the old collapsed tunnel beside the warrior's den." Hornetstar nodded to Nightfang and the she-cat began to herd the tom to the opening their leader had talked about. It was once a den but a cave in made it unusable, now a large push grew out front with thorns riddled everywhere. It was a perfect prison since inside the bush the branches created a dome against the wall that you could see in to and watch your prisoners. The Tigerclan warrior yowled out, "You are making a mistake! You have to run now!" "Yeah, yeah," Nightfang scoffed as she and Bearfur took the tom away, but inside she was really scared to death.
Bearfur looked to the tom sympathetically. Nudging him inside, he watched as the tom stood there, yowling himself sick. "Listen. My name is Bearfur. I will listen to your words." He ignored Nightfang's looks. "I will not judge you. I was wondering why it was so quiet." Looking to Nightfang, he sighed, narrowing his eyes. Turning away, he looked to where Hornetstar stood. Frowning, he then swung his head to where the entrance was. "I guess we wait for the truth to unfold when they do or don't rush through the entrance." Leaving him there, convinced he would not attack, he nudged Nightfang away, ready to get berrated for encouraging the TigerClan cat. Wrinkling his nose, Bearfur chuckled. "I have a story for you," he muttered, looking at the sky. Then suddenly smiling, he laughed. "However, the clan is in full panic mode so it can wait!" he cheered, sauntering off, back to hornetstar.

Cliffstep had taken the TigerClan warrior's words and was thinking hard. There wasn't much good in this that he could find. What could LionClan possibly do to see if this cat was telling the truth? He lashed his tail in frustration. He hated it when he was powerless to help anyone. Then, the warrior's mind began to formulate a plan. He looked around, wondering if he should confront the clan leader straight on. Well, that seemed to be the best bet right now, so Cliffstep leaped up the Highledge. "Hornetstar, I request an audience with you, sir." He bowed curtly to show his respect for Hornetstar. "I have an idea that may or may not work, but it might be worth a try."

Silvermist laughed but she soon frowned as she listened to him. She was frowning alot hearing that and nodded slightly. She then jumped in fear as she heard the conversation of Bearfur, a Tigerclan cat and Nightfangs. SHe started to quake in fear but soon she just kept to herself. On the outside she looked ready to fight. Fight for her clan and try to be as loyal as possible. On the inside though, she felt like a kit, scared and useless. SHe just licked her pelt again trying to relieve the stress but she couldn't stop from thinking if everyone was going to be slaughtered by rogues and clan cats.

cousin: "I love you because you smell like bagels!"
Nightfang frowned deeply at Bearfur, "Why are you being so friendly to him? Its obvious he's lying! He just wants to get us scared so we abandon our home and Tigerclan can take over." The she-cat sent a dirty look back at the thorn cage that the golden brown tabby was now residing. Outside the prison, Lionclaw and Windfur had taken up posts as guards. Her cousin caught her look and grinned softly. He had no love for the Tigerclan tom either.
Hornetstar looked sideways at Cliffheart and lifted a brow, "What is it?" He wrapped his tail around his paws as he sat down. He had watched as Nightfang and Bearfur had taken the prisoner away. "What do you have to say?" he asked with little interest, his mind elsewhere.
Bearfur rolled his eyes at Nightfang's childish statement. "There is a lot of what-if's to his claim, Nightfang. What if he is lying? What if he is not? What if we are ambushed, and end up being two TigerClan to one LionClan?" looked at the she-cat with sober amusement, he repaid his attention to the sky. "I just want to look at the what-if's before anyone gets hurt. That's all. Because if he isn't lying, then, we, LionClan, are done. We have become a family. Not something I would like to lose..." He trailed off, leaving it like there was more to his story. I don't want to lose my family again, he thought, wrinkling his nose. Stretching, he narrowed his eyes. "Cliffheart...," he muttered, watching the tom begin to speak with Hornetstar. Once again looking at Nightfang with something akin to amusement, he shook his head sadly. "Sometimes, we don't give enemies the benefit of the doubt. There are liars all the time. There is betrayal, all the time. There is death, all the time. It comes with life, just as happiness, peace and prosperity does, too." Bearfur clawed at the ground, irritation aimed at his friend. "Just open your eyes, Nightfang. And you'll see what I mean."
ooc; i just thought i would clarify but... bearfur had a she-cat he fell in love with but something tragic happened. i want it to be canon, so you can finish that, but ever since then he's been kinder and less into fighting, since before he would jump at the chance to fight. i decided her name would be silverdream. ^^' i don't want his angst to go unexplained. i hate making bearfur angsty. hes supposed to be like kisuke urahara from bleach. he can be serious but he has those moments when he's so peppy it's scary. ^^

Wolfheart padded out of her den and yawned. It was a beutiful day. She stretched herself out and waved her tail in the air. She went over to Bearfur and Nightfang. "Hey guys whatcha doing? Its a beutiful day to hunt isn't it? Oh I love it when its a day like this. Want to go hunting, or bask by the lake? We could tell stories of the time of Firestar." She decided to stop talking and start behaving like a warrior. She had became a warrior not to long ago and she needed to stop with her kittish remarks. Even though she knew Firestar was real. The medicine cat had told her once. She waited for Nightfang and Bearfur's reply.

Cliffstep cleared his throat, head level with Hornetstar's. "Well, maybe we could send a spy to TigerClan. I know it sounds crazy, but maybe it could work. They might be able to find out if they're really recruiting other cats. Even if they're taken prosoner, it can't be that hard to tell, right?" He hadn't exactly worked out all the kinks in this idea, but it was possible. It might be their only way to find out if this cat was telling the truth. "Then, we'll find a way to get them out of there. Somehow." He felt so pathetic, standing there talking to the clan leader with a plan that had so many holes in it that it was barely visible.

OOC: McJagger, I thought your character's name was Cliffheart ^^"
Nightfang had been about to argue with Bearfur even more until Wolfheart showed up. Bearfur was being to lenient on their "guest" but she couldn't help the feeling deep down that he was right. Heck he was probably always right. As Wolfheart walked over to them grinning from ear to ear, Nightfang just looked at her baffled. Her mouth dropped, "What are you talking about Wolfheart?" She pointed her tail to where Thunderstep now resided, "Didn't you hear that Tigerclan cat come crashing through the camp spouting something about Tigerclan preparing for war?" Nightfang flicked her tail in irritation before turning away. "Right now some of us should go on patrol or something," She shot a dirty look at Bearfur, not wanting to be this tom's toy for his own entertainment.
Hornetstar sighed heavily and looked away, "Cliffheart... I don't think that's such a good idea. Tigerclan is already one or two steps ahead of us. If what that Tigerclan cat said was true, then we need all our warriors here. We can't send a spy over there. At least not yet anyway." Hornetstar fell silent and turned his gaze to the medicine cat den. He should consult with his advisors before making any decision on this. Yet he didn't have a lot of time. He turned to Cliffheart and mewed, "The cat said they were recruiting yes? Well you plan just might work." He glanced to the sky. Indeed, it could work. If he sent some of his youngest warriors out to their clan, having them pretend that they didn't believe in their parents ways and clan, then Tigerclan might accept them in to their ranks. From there they could persuade and disrupt Tigerclan's way of life. He could announce this plan tomorrow morning. A grin picked at the edge of Hornetstar's mouth. "Cliffheart," he laughed with fire in his eyes, "You're a genius!"
