Katie let out an exasperated sigh. "Men are such babies!" She hissed under breath. Here she was actually trying to make an effort, and nothing happened. It helped nothing. He wasn't exactly making things better. She decided not to go back to the park. What a fail meeting. This pack needed a serious adjustment. She turned down the first alley way. Kicking at the gravel. Sometimes people really just annoyed her. Seriously, what was the point in even forming packs? She knew she didn't think that seriously. She sort of liked feeling like she belonged somewhere. It was a good feeling. But when everyone decided that they were going to treat the pack as an obligation rather than something nice? It really ticked her off. She punched the brick wall to her right, causing some of the stone to give way and slicing her knuckles open. She felt the warm sensation of blood trickle down her hand. She cursed under her breath. She began walking again when she heard a voice behind her. "Tsk tsk tsk." She spun around, standing steady as if ready to fight. About seven feet from where she stood was a man in a suit. He was probably in his early twenties, very handsome. "You know, if a pedestrian had seen you punch that wall, and only walk away with a few scratched knuckles and leaving a small dent in the wall itself, they might think you were a bit...suspicious." He closed a few feet between them until he was about two feet away.
"Good thing it was just you then." Katie sneered to the man. "And you are?"
"Dean. Dean Matthews." He took another step towards her as she took a step backwards. "And you?"
"You might have been stupid enough to give your name, but I'm not about to give up mine."
"I expected as much." The man said with a chuckle. Katie's eyes narrowed as he began speaking again. "I really expected nothing less from you."
"Don't speak to me as if you know me." She replied.
"Oh right...right. Of course I don't know you Katie Evans. How could I? Born November 17th, 1992. You began to change into what you are now at the age of fourteen. You tried to keep it a secret, too afraid to let the ones you loved in on what you were becoming. Until the full moon came. What happened that night Katie? Oh right...your little sister. Melody was it? She got in the way of your...shifting." A sly smile appeared on his lips as Katie's eyes grew wide with fear at the remembrance of that night. "And then your family kicked you out. Left you alone. You became...different. And not only in the physical sense but mentally as well. Doing anything it took to survive. Mugging, armed robberies. And then came the time when packs were established. That's probably why you joined one, isn't it Katie? To feel like you belonged again. Of course you'd never let on to the others how much you need them, even though they clearly don't need you." He chuckled. The sound was like nails on a chalkboard. "How silly of me...to think that I know you."
"How do you know all of that?" She said, trying to sound strong but her voice filled with such anger and rage, it came out a bit shakier than she planned.
"Oh we have files on all of you. But yours, yours is the one I'm most interested in. Everyone has a certain file they take up because of the interest in it, yours just happened to be mine. I get the way your mind works. You come off complicated, when you're really not. You come off difficult, while that is what you are, you hate yourself for it."
"Shut up." She whispered.
"Oh, sorry, did I strike a nerve?" He laughed again.
"I said, shut up!" She yelled and lunged at him. Punching first right, then left. He blocked both, and she jumped and did a roundhouse kick square in the center of his chest. He let out an Oof! and collided with the wall. He somehow recovered, pulling out a knife. He swiped it at her once, then twice, and the third made contact with her upper arm. Distracted, she looked down at it, and he punched her. She fell to the left, spitting out blood. He kicked her in the stomach, and she fell onto her side. His foot was then pushing her onto her back, and then crushing her chest, pinning her to the ground. "You can't let yourself get distracted Katie. Your emotions are running too high, you should be able to block out what I said and still fight. I've seen you fight, there is no way I should have beat you." he leaned down closer, putting more pressure on her chest, making her breathing very difficult. "You still have much to learn. But you have much promise." He then gave one final strong kick to the head knocking her unconscious.

She couldn't have been out long. When she opened her eyes there was an older woman standing over her. "Honey, are you okay?" Katie pulled herself to her feet.
"I'm fine." She said, blood dripping out of her mouth.
"Dear, you're covered in blood, let me help you." There were others in the alley as well, a crowd was beginning to form, but the man in the suit, Dean Matthews, was not there.
"I said I'm fine." She pushed past her and the others and took up a run, heading back to her home. When she got in she locked the door behind her, and went straight to the medicine cabinet. She took her jacket off, so she was only in her tank top. The knife wound wasn't deep, but it was painful enough. She opened a bottle of peroxide and poured it straight onto it. She let out a groan as it began to sting. She knew she needed to call Thomas. This had to be something with what he was saying earlier. She took her cell out of her pocket and dialed his number. There was no answer. "Thomas this is not the time to be stupid." She murmured. When the beep rang she left a message. "Thomas, I need you to come to my place. Now. I was attacked. I think it has something to do with what you mentioned." She paused and swallowed, still tasting blood. "See you soon boss." She hung up and took a wad of paper towels putting pressure on the wound. Clearing away some of the blood, she got a better look, she may have to sew herself up. She'd done it before, it was simple enough, but was a pain to do. Who exactly was that guy? And how did he know all of that? From a folder? How did someone get so much information on her anyway? Something weird was happening. And she was going to find out what. No one knew about her past. The things she'd done. And she wanted it to stay that way.

OOC: HOLY CRAP. I'm so sorry for this long read! D: Haha. I wanted to try and get things started, and if this is all wrong I'm sorry! I hope it isn't, I had fun writing this. But I understand if it's all wrong. :) I guess. ;P

Reggie, when he returned to his tiny apartment, found it very hard to sleep with all these thoughts drifting through his head about his difficult Thomas thought they were, and how difficult Thoman was himself. Reggie just laid in bed, staring at the ceiling. Eventually he just couldn't sit still anymore, and he jumped up and walked to the main room. The main room was about the size of someone's bedroom, and one side was spanned with counters, and oven, and a dishwasher. The rest of the room contained a worn out couch and a broken TV. A hall led to the small bathroom and bedroom, and that was it. Reggie didn't believe in expensive, obnoxious possessions like some. He was a simple guy.

OOC: Gonna seem odd here but it seems like something my character would do.

IC:

Thomas had been sitting on Katie's bed for the past hour, waiting and hoping she would come home. It had been hours since he had left her on the street. He felt so stupid and irresponsible for his actions, but at the moment he felt even angrier at Katie. Why hadn't she called? Was she trying to prove something, or was she jus trying to get under his skin? He had managed to enter her apartment because he had demanded a key to everyone's apparent, just in case. Most of them had been reluctant but he had them none-the-less. The smell of pizza still clung to him, but it had dissipated by the smell of the city on his way over here. He had sat there fuming, clutching his phone in his hand, willing her to call.
The sound of footsteps outside made the young man jump up and hide behind the door way in to Katie's bedroom. The front door flung open slammed behind a very distraught Katie. Thomas had never really seen her this way before, all his former anger and paranoia was gone. Quickly he shut his phone off, just in case someone would call and give away his position. As she took care of a wound on her arm he felt his stomach drop. So she had been in trouble and he was to stupid to think that she might have been. When his beta made her call and spoke his name, Thomas was genuinely shocked. He felt a little glad that she still felt it necessary to call the pack when she got hurt.
With slow methodical movements, Thomas left the safety of his hiding spot and made his way to the bathroom. He stood just behind her, leaning against the doorway, hands in his pockets. As to not scare her, he started with a whisper, "What happened?"

OOC: Cause I want to be a creeper that way B)

Plus he's kinda like Batman this way... Showing up unannounced and disappearing before you finish your sentence :3

OOC: Haha! xD I love Batman! :D

Katie spun around, her hand going up to the intruder's throat and pushing him against the door frame. When she noticed it was Thomas, she released him, and relaxed, the fear of it being Dean again subsided. "Thomas," she breathed. Her defenses were down, she had expected to get her strength right back up, but it had not even been a minute since she called. "That was quick, I didn't even hear you come in." Now that she thought about it, she didn't even hear her door open. It might have been just because she was still shook up. "Don't you knock?" She said, chuckling a bit as she grabbed a small sewing kit out of the cabinet. She sat down on the edge of the shower. Her hands were shaking. How embarrassing. And now she was going to have to go through the events again with Thomas. She'd do it quick, like ripping off a band-aid. "I was in an alley, when a man just showed up. He said his name was Dean Matthews. He was in a suit, like a business man. He was only in about his early twenties." She looked up at Thomas. "He knew my name, Thomas. And not just that, he knew me. When I was born, when I started to change, my-" She cut off, she'd never spoken aloud about her sister, or what she did after she turned. Perhaps it was appropriate she mentioned it now, to show how much he knew, but she wasn't much for being appropriate. "He said he had files on all of us. I'm sure he meant all the lycans. And I'm sure it has something to do with what you said this morning." She stopped and looked down at her shoulder. It was obvious she was beaten in the fight. And that made her feel like a kid. She hadn't lost a fight in as long as she could remember. But Dean was right, she'd let what he said come in between her fighting skills and focus. She stopped talking and took out the smallest needle and some thread. Now for the fun part. She thought as she began to thread the needle, waiting for Thomas to scold her for getting into such a mess.

Thomas had not answered how he got in to her apartment, that wasn't the important part. Instead he listened carefully to what she had said. His hackles raised at the mention that someone was keeping tabs on all the lycans. Well, if it was the government there wasn't much to be done... However, it was someone else, some sort of organization then they were all in trouble. The public wasn't supposed to know about them, it could start chaos and panic. If anyone knew that lycans were in the world then they would be rounded up, experimented and worse.
Thomas stepped forward so before she started sewing he took at look at her arm. Gently he touched the wound, "Its not as bad as it looks... Which I know you must had figured out already, so it was pointless of me to mention." He pulled away and went to stand by the doorway again. He had to bring with us with the elders and get some more answers. Perhaps they knew more than they were letting on. In any case, this was bad and he needed to keep an even closer on eye on his pack and the world they lived in. A sense of helplessness filled him because he knew that he really couldn't watch everything he pack did. He would just have to settle in to doing his best to keep them save.
A strange though popped in to his head, "Do you think it might be better to move from the city? Whatever they are and whatever they want, the know how to find us. Then again, if we run they might find us anyway..." He let out a harsh sigh to himself, oh the joys of being the alpha...

She tried to think of some snide remark to him saying her arm was fine, but she had nothing. Besides, there was something reassuring about the way he said it. "Yea, thanks." She murmured as he moved away. She watched him for a second, as if he was going to explode in anger. When he just stood there, she went back to her needle. She began to stitch up her wound. It was an extremely unpleasant feeling, to have a needle pierce you, and then thread running through the hole. She fell into a rhythm with it. When he asked if it would be better to move away from the city she thought for a moment. "Whoever he was, he knew more than what should be in a folder." She went back to her shoulder as she talked, "Moving can't guarantee our safety. But it's the only choice we have. We know they know where we are hear, we may actually have a chance." She finished up and tied the end in a knot. At least the stitching stopped the bleeding for the most part. She poured some more peroxide over it. "But I don't think we should ignore this." She stood up, and began wiping the blood off the counter top. She let out a sigh, then she locked eyes with him, "Thomas these people know everything. This guy, Dean, he said that everyone had a file they were most interested in, and he was most interested in me. He knew my thought processes." She shivered. That bothered her more than anything he had said about her sister. For someone to know how she thought, it tore open so many of her walls. It made her feel, small and weak. And that was the last thing she had wanted. And she realized how much of that she was exposing to Thomas. She shook her head and shrugged her shoulders. "You're the Alpha. It's up to you."

ooc;

ic;
Strolling towards the market with shopping list in hand, Rachael decided it was a good idea to buy some food before she ran out again and had to rely on ramen for days. While reciting the list in her head, she ran into someone. Raising an eyebrow in amusement, she uttered a small apology and moved to continue forward. But a hand on her shoulder made her freeze and roll her head towards the culprit. "Maybe I can be of service?" mocked Rachael, eyes glinting in a silent challenge. The man said nothing, merely held her gaze. Getting bored, she picked his hand off her shoulder and smirked. "Awe-struck at my beauty?" Snorting, Rachael shoved her hands back in her pockets. But grabbing her arm, he spun her around, an amused look now on his face.
"It is you," he remarked, smiling in a much-too-friendly way. "I never thought I'd find you, Rachael. It's been a while since I last saw you. Where were you during your shift last night?"
Keeping a cool head, Rachael wiped the surprise from her face and smirked. "I thought that I'd take the night off and get some sleep and food in my schedule."
"Are you sure you weren't on a run with your pack?" he questioned, smiling the same as before, unperturbed by her actions. Holding out his hand he introduced himself. "Seamus O'Gallaghan. Pleasure to finally speak to you, Miss Fliyer. I thought it was about time, seeing as you're finally a part of a pack. Though, surprisingly, not Alpha."
Waving a dismissive hand while panic seized her internally, she smiled easily. "Oh, puh-lease, Mister O'Gallaghan. The pleasure is all mine. I was wondering when you were going to stop hiding around the corner and come and talk to me." At his surprised face, she knew she had gotten something right. However, when he waved his finger disappointingly, she frowned. "What?"
"Miss Fliyer... Shouldn't you be calling your Alpha around now?"
At that, she grabbed his arm and wretched it behind his arm, that sickening grin still on his face. "Good for me I'm the kind of person who thinks later. Whoever you are, Mister O'Gallaghan, I advise you to stay the heck away from me."
"Well, Rachael --"
"Oh, we're on a first name basis now!"
"Yes, we are. And Rachael Lilliana Fliyer, born February 14th, 1993, blood type AB, I'd like you to know that I'm only talking to you because Dean was stupid enough to blow his own cover."
Raising an eyebrow, Rachael pulled on his arm again, making him grunt in pain. "Who are you, really?"
"Me? I'm little ol' Seamus O'Gallaghan!" he cheered, that smile still on his face.
"Why couldn't you be like Seamus from Harry Potter? Then maybe I'd appreciate you," moaned Rachael. Pushing him onto the ground, she gave a grim smile. "Well, no matter. Who ever you are... stay away from me."
"I can't. Not when there's so much more to you than the file tells."
Backing up, she let him rant to himself as she sprinted off, huffing more so because of a panic attack than being out of shape.

Reggie had taken to pacing the streets out of boredom and his inability to sleep. The fact that Thomas was mad was now a faint feeling. Thomas had been mad before, he'll be fine. But, as Reggie walked through the alleys behind the community center he worked at, he saw something out of the corner of his searching eyes. It was a dark human shape, skittering across his line of sight. Whoever it was, it was quick, and Reggie only was it for a moment. Well, that paranoid the suspicious lycan enough to make him turn around and head back toward his apartment and seek some sort of companionship from a packmate. But, he saw the shape again, darting across the edge of his vision. Reggie whirled around so he was facing the shape, but it was gone. What in the name of lupis... he thought. Reggie was cautious and wary, and this was killing him. He automatically stepped into a defensive stance, ready to fight, but ready to think as well. Then, all of the sudden, a human stepped out into the alley from the street.
"Well well well, we meet at last, eh Mr. Butler?" The man had a cruel voice and a twisted, malicious smile.
"Apparently," Reggie growled, feeling the hair on his neck stand on end. "We've obviously never met before. I would have remembered that wicked face."
"Oh tough, aren't we?" With that, the human turned and all but disappeared. He'd run somewhere and hid, and when Reggie tried to pick up the scent, there was nothing. This is the oddest thing that's ever happened to me, he thought, but he just continued on, at a jog now, back to his apartment. His brain tried to work out what the heck just happened and why the heck that guy knew his name.
All of the sudden, Reggie slammed into someone and fell back on the sidewalk he'd been running on. Recovering, he noticed that he'd just run into Rachael. Relief washed over him at the sight of someone he could trust.
"Rachael!" he panted. "Something really weird just happened. Do you have a minute?"

Thomas shook his head softly, "No... I don't believe running away is the idea. We could try it, but it might not be a good thing. Its just me musing to myself." The tall dark skinned man turned back to her. "For now we need to find the others," in a rare moment, he smiled softly, "Guess calling a pack meeting would be a bad idea... Especially if I just end up storming away." Thomas shook his head softly and left the bathroom, Katie just behind him. "We shouldn't split up right now, that guy Dean might just show up again."
The alpha pulled on his thick brown coat once more and headed for the door. "Stick close to me, hopefully that guy won't show up again, but if he does, he's got a world of hurt coming toward him. By yourself your pretty dang hard to beat, but with me here you're invincible." He turned his dark eyes toward her a moment, "Plus, I can't risk losing you just yet. You're to good a beta for that." Each word he spoke wasn't truly kind, he spoke matter-of-factly, as if this was all common knowledge. He didn't mean it as a compliment really, in fact he mostly spoke while preoccupied with other thoughts.
With a nod to Katie and barked, "Let's go."

Looking at Reggie, Rachael nodded. She couldn't speak as irregular breaths constricted her words and silent sobs racked her body. She had never been so scared before. But, standing with Reggie's aid, Rachael attempted to calm her breathing, holding her hands over her heart, counting slowly to control her breathing. But looking at his face, she understoof that the same emotions were crossing his face. Opening her mouth, Rachael managed to get in a few words. "We aren't safe. Not anymore at least." Gripping his arm, she leaned forwards, one arm leaning on her leg. Her breathing was still labored, but more controlled. She hated panic attacks. They were frequent, and it never helped that, as a lycan, she was always on edge, waiting for the coast to be clear. Because, how could she explain how she was so unusually fast at times, and how she could smell a bakery many blocks away? The frantic look left her eyes as she took a deep breath.
