My noticeable efforts of not being noticed fail me as I walk down the school hallway towards my locker. Its only been a few minutes since my return and it seems people are already looking at me different, in a new light. An unusual red began to meld with the baby pink tint that the wind brought to my round cheeks as I reach towards the door of my familiar locker. I fumble clumsily with the metallic lock as the stares of unknown people meld, uncomfortably against the sweater Im wearing. I know that I'm Rachel Berry, all-around American girl, but is it that odd for me to be suspended, really? A bothersome clacking sound resounds as my newer Mary-Janes scrape against the cold, marble-like ground as I tap out the comforting chorus to a current favorite of mine. With a loud clang, the door of the locker swung open, revealing a plethora of brightly colored words and pictures. A deep sigh escaped the bridge of my mouth as brushed my fingers across the picture of Finn. Ah, hes already creeping into the corners of mind. Finn's been so supportive of me through of all of this mess, bringing my class work and the much needed attention I longed for everyday during my break (as my fathers like to call it.) I know I can be quite needy and narcissistic at times, but both of us just...work. I spun around slowly and leaned against the metallic lockers, my mind slipping into the depths of just another teenage dream.
