She couldn't open her eyes. Dust traveled in them too fast for her to bear. She shielded herself from the countinuously falling ashes. 'Where am I?' she wondered. 'Who am I?' She was in agony. Especially her wrist. She winced in pain as she moved it closer to her. "Four...ty....two." She said aloud. Her eyes speckled with dust she could barely see the number. She grimaced. She knew she was young. Who was she? She shook her head to remember. Nothing came to her. Her mind was blank. All the thoughts that were in there were; Who am I? Where am I? Why am I here? I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE! I wish I were somewheres else. She looked up. Some wood cracked above her showering sparks around her. Her lungs full of smoke she breathed heavily. She raced to and fro trying to find a safe place. She sat down and sobbed. Suddenly she heard footsteps from another person. She ran following the sound. She came upon a girl. "Who are you?" She asked. She paused dramaticly. "And whats this number on our wrists supposed to mean?"

Ooc: By the way Goldy LOVE your intro in your last post.

With eyes bleary and a head pounding, the ruddy blonde haired boy sat up to see a nightmarish sight unfold in front of him. He inhaled sharply only to be rewarded with a hard stinging in his throat as it clenched tight against the ashy air. The boy rubbed his eyes and glanced down at his body hoping it would be completely intact. A sigh of relief escaped him as he realized he was indeed fully in tact. But hold on a moment... There on his wrist... What was that? A number? 16? What an odd thing to have on one's wrist. Frowning he touched the sore burning patch of skin. Indeed it really was apart of him. Then another though hit him, just who was this number apart of?
Reaching back in to his mind he attempted to summon forth his memories of what exactly just happened. Yet, he was drawing a blank. There was nothing, no memories, no history, there was nothing. Just this number on his wrist and a great throbbing headache. He gritted his teeth as he attempted to stand, his legs buckling under him on his first try. Finally he managed to get his feet under him before looking around. The air shook and shimmered as the rising heat of the rocks clashed against the cooler air. Well this was just great, he had no idea who he was or why he was here, let alone where he should go now.
His mouth twitched as impatience grew within him, he wasn't just going to stand there and do nothing. Taking in a sharp inhale, he called out, "Hey! Anyone alive out there?"

As the boy approached the two girls, she still felt at a total loss. "I'm...um. Not sure." She stuttered, putting the strands of hair in her face behind her ears. It wasn't so much casual as it was quickly and nervously. "I just...I woke up, and well, that's all really. I can't remember anything. I don't even know who I am..." Her voice trailed off to that of a whisper. She clasped her hands together in a wringing fashion. Something felt wrong, not only the fact that she was thrown into this unknown situation, but her mind felt out of tune. She couldn't explain it. Her thoughts were interrupted as another cry for help rang out, this one sounded desperate, and afraid, but close. She began walking up a small hill in front of them, on the other side was another young man, on his knees and he looked incredibly frightened. She really couldn't blame the boy under these circumstances. She walked over and said, "It's alright, we all seem to be in the same situation..." her voice trailed off as she took a hold of his arm to help him to his feet. In that moment, panic hit her hard, it felt like a brick wall and it took the breath out of her. But it didn't feel like her panic, it felt like someone else's. It was his. This boy, whoever he was, she was inside his head. Words hit her of fear, of not knowing what was happening, her own panic and anxiety mixed with his, it was something she couldn't explain and it frightened her more than not knowing what was happening. She jerked away from him, falling backwards onto the ground, she moved away from him even farther until she felt safe. How did she do that? Why was she able to do that? This was wrong, she was wrong, everything was wrong. And what was worse was no one could explain it to her.

ooc; so everyone knows, I'm changing my character's hair color. It's going to be a deep, rich brown. After writing her and such, I can no longer see her with red hair, it doesn't feel right. Just so you guys know. :)

edit; also, just because i've brought my ability into play, doesn't mean everyone should jump to do it. See how mine was plausible because I had her try to help him up? Just to be clear. :) Because I know in RP's with abilities, some tend to want to flash them out. :) Not saying you can't soon, but, you get my drift? :)

ooc; thank you! :)

As the younger girl ran up to her, she immediately jumped backwards. She had no idea why, the girl seemed harmless, it was only instinct. The girl was asking who she was, but she had no clue how to answer. Then she asked about the number's on their wrists. Her heart began to beat faster, this girl didn't know anything either? What was going on? She heard a call from the left. For a second she just stood there, looking from the girl to the direction the call came from. She awkwardly called out, "Over here!" Her voice dry, and barely making it out into the air. Perhaps it wasn't the best decision to call someone over to them? But if this girl didn't know who she was, maybe the guy who called out might? Maybe...maybe. What other option did she have? She felt frightened, and alone. Alone because there were no memories in her minds eye, and she couldn't place who she was.
What were they to do exactly? She hoped that whoever was on their way over to them would have at least some clue.

Hearing a reply to his call, the boy made his way toward the voice. He semi-staggered and semi-swaggered his way around debris and burning building chunks, such annoying obstacles. He circled around another to see two young women, both with ginger red hair but one being rather short. He furrowed his brows, this was just great. Now he was hallucinating a red-haired with with her own personal mini-me.
"I must be out of my mind," he muttered as he drew closer. He cast a glance from one girl to the other, "What's going on here?" They looked just as confused as he was. He automatically knew that not much information was going to be shared here.

Ears ringing, fingers digging into the debris, silent screams. He looked around with wide gray eyes, which had taken on a more blue shade at the moment. His heart pounded within his chest, hurting so much he though it would burst. He was on his knees and raised his arms slowly, letting his hands cover his ears that hid behind his straight black hair. It wasn't so much that his ears hurt, it was that he was in such shock, he could barely move. The boy let his arms down, and noticed a marking on his wrist. Raising it to eye level, his mouth gaped at the mark. 15 was the number ingrained in his wrist. His eyes shut closed as tears were strewned on the edges. "Somebody help me!" He shouted, his voice cracking in the middle. His whole body was shaking as he panicked, searshing to and fro with his eyes to try to find life.

His eyes flew open. Something was wrong. He could sense it in the air. He sat up and looked around. What the..? He was surrounded by ashes, smoke. He gasped, then ended up coughing for about a minute straight. Then, he began trying to remember what the heck had happened here, but nothing was coming to him. Where was he? What happened? Then, an even more frightening thought came to his mind. Who was he? What was his name? Suddenly, he felt a burning sensation in his wrist. He almost dared not look. When he finally did glance down, he was a number etched into his skin. 8? What does that mean? Then, he heard voices. Panicked, tense voices calling to each other. He stood, feeling himself stand with surprising sturdiness, and began making his was hesitantly toward the voices. Maybe whoever they belonged to had some idea what was going on here. He turned a corner to see some kids. They were around his age, and they looked as frightened as he felt. "Hello?" he called out to them, heading toward the group. He really, really hoped they weren't hostile. He didn't think he could hold off anyone at the moment.

The dark haired boy flinched when the girl had fallen back. "I'm sorry!" He said pathetically. Then a small 'yip' escaped his lips when he heard someone else call out for them. He turned his head to see another person, who was as lost as they were. The boy felt a small sense of security that everyone else was having the same problem as him. But he was sure that something even worse was going to happen, although he would have liked to believe it would get better. The boy began to calm down for a moment, and tried to think back to what exactly had happened. He froze up, eyes wide, as he could not remember anything, anyone, not even himself. The boy gripped his arms like as if he were shivering. "What's happening?" He said quietly, as tears fell from his eyes.

The boy, sixteen as the only indicator or a name he could tell, looked at the girl and lifted a brow, "Well I'll tell you one thing we aren't looking for." He motioned with his head to the wreckage of the place they were in, "A burning building." Glance around he only saw the wilderness they were in. "Any direction is as good as any. Might be able to stumble across something while we're out there." A frown touched his mouth, "My question is how are we going to survive? What'll we eat?" He turned back to the girl, a slightly worried yet slightly playful look in his eyes, "We still eat right? I mean, unless we were abducted by aliens and are now plant people who just need the sun to survive." His mouth turned up at the side slightly despite the headache still pestering him.
