Eight, as he was now called, walked a ways behind the group. He was fiddling with his thoughts, trying to make sense of what could have possibly happened here. He wasn't exactly listening to the others, he was just following. But he'd gathered this much; That girl over there with the Twenty-Three on her wrist is the chosen leader, he probably won't get along with the one called Fifteen, and he sort-of knew what he looked liked from the files. In the picture of him, he didn't look any happier as he felt now. He made no noise, his eyes were trained down, his face was focused and frustrated. It was strange, but a lot of what happened seemed to be getting on his nerves. He didn't want to walk until he starved to death. He hadn't wanted to leave behind that building with the files in it. He didn't like that Twenty-Three was just making decisions willy-nilly (even though she HAD asked for better ideas, but Eight obviously overlooked that). But when he asked himself if he would like to lead instead, that's what made him fall quiet. No, he didn't want to lead. But still, Twenty-Three's leading made him mad.

Ooc: Haha I know he's being a complete idiot right now, but he's just the kind of person where everything gets on his nerves...so yeah.
By the way, sorry I haven't been active. My Internet stopped working for a while.

ooc; It's okay Woodfall, just...do your best. Be creative. :) I'll let you know if anything is too weird or out of place.

It felt like they'd been walking for days, when really it'd only been a few hours. They hadn't come across anything, and the girl with the Twenty-three on her wrist felt more lost than when she'd woken. Things were getting stressful, to say the least. Her mind would gradually fall away, and come back. Fall away...and come back. It was more frustrating than not knowing what was going on. The sun was gradually starting to set, not quite reaching darkness yet though, everything was growing orange, and brilliant shadows were strewn across the earth. Everything looked the exact same. Every tree the same as the last, every rock, hill, blade of grass. Were they going in circles? Were they trapped in some unknown dimension and were doomed to circle around the same landscape for all eternity? She felt like hitting herself in the face. Focus, focus. You're tired, it's okay. Just keep moving. Were the others okay? She glanced at a few of them, they seemed okay. Although they were probably tired, and hungry no doubt. Wait, why was she thinking of them? She didn't know these people, yet here she was, a few paces in front of them, leading them. That darned word again! Leading.
Before her thoughts could travel any farther, she heard something in the distance. A door shutting? She motioned to the others to stay quiet, and she cautiously moved over to the right, a little ways off, she knelt behind some shrubbery, sure enough, there was a home. The sound she had undoubtedly heard was a door. There was a man and a woman standing together. It wasn't intimate, more professional. The man was tall, he was in a black suit, and was holding a phone to his ear. The woman stood next to him with her arms crossed. She was dressed in black business attire, and was watching the man as he spoke inaudibly into the phone. After the man hung up, he spoke a bit louder. "I'll be back, in time. Apparently they've cleared out, which means I have to go help clean up the mess." He put a hand on the woman's shoulder. "Hold down the fort until I return?" The woman nodded. "Just be sure you hurry back. You know the boss, he'll want to hear from you as soon as you're finished." He nodded, slid his hand from her shoulder and got onto a motorcycle. He wound his way through the trees as the woman headed back inside. Whoever these people were, they didn't seem like your classic family, living free in the country-side. No, this was different. But this was also their only chance at getting anything to eat.
She turned to the others who were crowded there with her. "I know this might sound crazy, but uh, this is our only chance for food tonight. We'll have to get in there...and well, take it." She put her hair behind her ears again, "I think only two of us should go. Three would be stretching it, and one would be too difficult..." She trailed off, waiting to see if anyone would call her plan stupid, in which she'd apologize and let them come up with something, or to see if two would volunteer, or what. Perhaps she should be one to go in? I mean, it was her plan after all. And if she was the one who was to go in, she'd at least need a good partner. She felt the connections in her brain making sense again, and the feeling was wonderful. If she needed a good partner, she'd need someone she felt comfortably with, okay, not really comfortable, more so someone she knew she could count on. The boy with the eight only seemed bitter and cut off, the girl with the forty two was young, the boy with the sixteen was promising, but would they really get along? And the boy with the fifteen, well, he could be a good partner if he didn't appear so afraid. So her options weren't too great, but if she was going in, she'd have to be smart about it.

"I'll go." 42 volenteered. "I mean I am the smallest and if we needed to climb out a window or something I could fit." She hoped that she wasn't chosen. She was scared to death. Yet since nobody else was volenteering then she would go. Her stomach was persuding her too much to bear. "Besides," She countinued. "You have telepathy. You can reach into that woman's mind and she might think about where she is going so you can warn me and I can just jump out a window." She looked about the house. "Its simple really. There is a window where there is also I think a fridge and pantary is."

Ooc: This is my plan...
A: If someone else goes in then the woman would go back in and she probably has a gun and stuff because thats what I think the topic up here is about. I loose control of myself and teleport in, grab him/her and Goldy, and teleport out. :P BOOM The gift of Teleportation is revealed or...
B: If I am chosen then I go in, woman comes in with gun, I loose control and I teleport Goldy and I out. :P BOOM The gift of Teleportation is revealed... again...

I just wanted to tell you this so I wouldn't be controlling the RP in the least bit. And you can warn me not to.
Thanks

OOC: Actually Woody, nobody knows Goldie's character has telepathy. Not even her character ^^"

IC:

The boy with the sixteen made a sort of sneer at the young girl called Forty-two. His mouth twitched and his eyes lit with slight anger and a bit of annoyance, "Listen pipsqueak, we don't need you running in there to get yourself hurt. Sure you're small enough to fit through a window but what if you're caught? I suggest you wait here with the others." Sixteen turned to Twenty-three, "Makes sense if I go with you. From the looks of it, I'm about as old as you and I can hold my own..." His mouth pulled in to a frown, "At least I think I can." He glanced away a bit nervously, "Unless of course she has a gun, then it doesn't really matter." Shaking his head he turned back to Twenty-three. "I'll go with you. You need someone that can at least see over a windowsill to help."

OOC: I like the general basis of your plan, but since you've no idea you have it, I don't think you could just, teleport me out with you. You could have something somewhere along the lines where you get too scared and you want to be anywhere but where you are, and you could end up teleporting then. But I'm not saying in your next post or anything. :) And yeah, my character doesn't even know she has telepathy so you wouldn't either. ;P

The girl listened to the conversation, and Sixteen was right, it made sense to have him go with her. She turned to the younger girl, "Thank you for volunteering, but I think it would be easier that way." She could tell the girl with the forty-two was nervous, so she hoped by her not going she'd be a bit relieved at least. Turning to the boy with the sixteen, she nodded. "Alright, let's go. You guys stay here, we'll go as quickly as possible." She turned to look at the house. The windows on the side seemed empty enough, so they should be able to get to the house without being seen if they moved quickly. "Stay low, we'll decide how to get in once we get there." Staying somewhat crouched, she made her way across and towards the house with Sixteen behind her. Once she reached the side, she pressed herself against the wall. They'd need to see where the kitchen was, should they try to sneak in the front door? Or maybe through the window? She gave a short nod to the boy, signaling for them to look through the window, she had to bring herself to the tips of her toes to see in, but she could at least. There was a hallway where they were, and it curved into what looked like a living room, and perhaps a kitchen, but she couldn't make it out. Where was the woman? Her mind drifted back to what Sixteen had said, 'Unless of course she has a gun,' Oh no, what if she did? She really wouldn't be surprised with the way she seemed with that man, they looked serious. What if one of them were shot? What if he were shot? And that would be on her. She felt shaky and flattened her feet on the ground. It was going to be okay, she thought. She just had to calm her brain down. "An-Any ideas?" She whispered, swallowing hard, trying to maintain her composure. "We need a strategy or something."

Sixteen lifted a brow at her. His mouth twitched in to a slightly mocking smile, "I getting inside is the best strategy. We aren't going to get any food out here." He looked up at the window from where he crouched. "I can boost you up and you open that window. We can sneak in quietly and go in to the kitchen. Only grab enough food to feed ourselves and then get the heck out of dodge." He glanced down at Twenty-three, his soft blue eyes betrayed by the worry that lit them. His mouth pulled in to a slightly confident smirk. He'd get her in and out in no time flat. He didn't know any of these kids well enough but they were all he had at the moment. That had to mean something right?
He took a strong stance and cupped his hands out in front of him for her to step on. He'd hoist her up as soon as she was ready, "Alright, on your mark."

She rolled her eyes when the boy said getting inside was the best strategy. She would have made some sort of remark, but words had escaped her at the moment due to worry. He cupped his hands and her mind went through a series of thoughts. Here goes trust, but she had to trust him. He was here, and he was helping her, she really didn't have a whole lot of options. Putting her right foot onto his hands, she hoisted herself up by putting her hand on his shoulder. She pushed the window up, and to her joy, it went up easily and quietly. She climbed in with ease and she set her feet down quietly onto the floor. She looked out the window, and down at Sixteen, "You need help getting up?" She whispered quietly, afraid the woman was going to hear her. She glanced around for a moment and then she turned back to look down at Sixteen, her hazel eyes flashing with worry and courage all at once.

Sixteen shook his head and motioned for her to step back. When she had disappeared from the window, Sixteen crouched slightly, bunching his leg muscles. In a moment he jumped up and grabbed on to the sill. He was much quieter than even he had expected himself to be. This made him worry about who he had been before. Maybe he was some sort of thief with a great talent of quietly entering a house. He entered the house through the window and sent a sideways glance at Twenty-three, his mouth quirking in to a devilish smile. He dared not speak to her, instead he pointed down the hall, his brows lifted in question. He had meant to ask about the kitchen, but Twenty-three may not have had a single clue about what he meant. A frown twisted his mouth slightly before he turned and looked about. Their cover was not blown yet, they needed to hurry.

She nodded as he pointed, smiling a bit at the way he grinned as he made it into the window. She quietly stepped down the hall, and took a quick peak around the corner. The coast seemed to be clear, she didn't see the woman, which frankly, unnerved her a bit. There was a sudden loud noise coming from ahead of them, she jumped backwards, nearly knocking her and Sixteen both off their feet. That same rush that happened in the woods happened again, a rush of foreign feelings and emotions, worry mixed with her own, it made her head spin. She steadied themselves and took a deep breath. Whatever that feeling was, it wasn't welcome. She listened for a moment, trying to figure out what the noise had been.
Television. The woman had turned on the television. And from what it sounded like, it was some sort of news station. She mouthed the word sorry to Sixteen, feeling completely and utterly embarrassed, thankful for the somewhat dim lighting, so perhaps the blush of embarrassment and stupidity couldn't be seen. She did another peek around the corner before she started to edge herself down the hallway, getting themselves closer to the kitchen. The television was gradually getting louder, and her heart was gradually beating faster. As they reached the end, she turned and looked out into the center of the house. The TV was playing on the right, but the woman was nowhere to be seen, looking straight, Twenty-three noticed a semi-cracked door, with a light on. Staring at it for a moment, she watched as a shadow went by under the door, she turned, locking eyes with Sixteen, and nodded in that direction, hopefully he'd get what she was meaning, that the woman was just inside that room. Looking to the left, she'd been right, the kitchen was here. She cautiously made her way into the open, feeling completely exposed. She went over to the cabinets, and opened them to find food inside. There wasn't much, but there were chips, a couple bags of trail-mix, and a few random things. She turned to Sixteen, motioning to check the fridge. Hopefully there was some sort of beverage, bottles of water maybe? She turned to the door again, making sure the woman wasn't there, they needed to be quick.
