a barriole is a large reptilian like creature that doesn't feel pain when they are struck, it can take up to two weeks for them to feel pain.

seeing how some people *coughflamepawcough* really want me to post the first chapter, here it is:

The old elephant slowly walked on. His leg exploded with pain on every step, but he ignored it. Any sign of injury or weakness would make him a target of the blood thirsty barrioles. The elephant remembered his first encounter with one, he had barely escaped. The old elephant had managed to stab the barriole in the side with his tusk, but the barriole thrashed around and broke the tusk off and fled, with the tusked still in his side. The elephant looked up and tried to focus his bad eyes on the giant tree that was still quite a ways off. He heared another elephant from the right. He was about to answer back when the ground erupted in front of him.

Crushclaw let out deep bellowing roar as he jumped high in the air. The elephant looked up at him in surprise, trying to figure out what was attacking him. Crushclaw grinned. The same trick worked everytime. Crushclaw was almost on the elephant's back when it just started to realize what Crushclaw was. It lifted its head up, its single tusk aimed at his chest. Crushclaw twisted in midair but knew that it was impossible to dodge the tusk. He positioned his feet in front of him and ended up landing on the elephant's face. It cried out surprise. Crushclaw moved quickly as he reached forward and dug his claws into the elephant's back. It cried out again and then jerked its head upwards trying to knock Crushclaw off. But it only made things worse for the elephant. Crushclaw slid off of the elephant's back, leaving long red streaks down its back. He was just starting to prepare to leap on the elephant's back when a larg brown and yellow figure barreled into the elephant, knocking it off it's feet. The second barriole struck the elephant's neck with a hard blow from his tail, snapping the elephant's neck.
"What did you do that for? I was about to finish it off!" Crushclaw cried out rage.
"You were taking to long and you were going to rip your leg open." said the second barriole.
Crushclaw looked down and realized that the elephant had managed to stab him in the leg with it's last tusk. The tusk had broken off and was buried deep into his leg.
"Get back to camp now before I take that tusk and stab it through that empty skull of yours, and get help too. This guy is too big for one barriole to carry alone." Said the barriole.

yeah, i guess it is something i should explain.
The elephant is there because the barrioles are big, too big to eat rabbits and mice and stuff like that. but an elephant is big enough to feed more than two barrioles. it is also there because the desertclan is in a safari area like africa.
The other clans can catch larg animals too. The forestclan has bears, seaclan has whales, and mountainclan has goats and some bears too.
does that clear it up a bit?

and here is chapter 2

Crushclaw walked into camp and headed straight for Skullstar.
"Skullstar! Tusk just helped me bring down an elephant. He said that he will need help bringing it back."
Skullstar nodded. "Ripstreak, go find Tusk and assist him."
Ripstreak rose up on her feet and darted out of camp.
"Ha! Did the same one get you too, Crushclaw?"
Crushclaw looked up and saw Smashfang limp out of the tunnel that led to Calmthrash's cavern. His side still had the sticky mushroom strips over his wound.
"Yeah. I think it was the same one." answered Crushclaw.
"Like father, like son. You better see Calmthrash before that wound gets any worse." said Skullstar.
Crushclaw bowed his head and walked down the tunnel into the cavern. Calmthrash was already pulling out the mushroom strips when he got there. After she put them on him she called out to one of the pups.
"Crashpup, will you go get me some more mushroom stips and bog leaves."
"But bog leaves are all the way in Forestclan." Crashpup moaned.
"You can take your sister Swiftpup with you."
"Okay, fine." he groaned.
"Thank you."
Wait, what do you need bog leaves for?" asked Crushclaw. He didn't know much about the herbs healers used, but he knew what bog leaves could do. They were very poisonous and the scent was could knock a full grown barriole out even if he just barely breathed it in. Forntunately, the bog leaves had to be right up to the nose in order to do that.
"Bog leaves attract a certain type of lizard that carries many different knids of berry seeds on its back when put on meat."
Crushclaw stared at her blankly.
"The leaves make meat rot faster and the lizard is attracted to rotting meat. Some of the seeds it carries can also make your wound heal faster and hurt less."
"Oh! I get it now."
Calmthraash sighed, "How are we ever going to get another healer if none of know what at least one heerb can do."
Crushclaw realized she was right. Calmthrash had been their healer for years. What were they going to do if she died and no one knew what each herb did

I have decided to make up herbs in my story. just thought i would let you guys know that.
