Goldheart attacked again from the other side raking her claws down the thick pelt of the badger.

Ebonystar jumped away from the badger to mke sure Leafpaw had run. She was gone so Ebonystar yowled, "Goldheart lets finish this" and he jumped back in to fight hoping to get the finishing blow in.

Goldheart jumped to the badger clawing it on his back to distract it as her leader went after the final blow.

The badger reared up and Ebonystar lept with all his strength to its neck. When was a whiskers length from it the badger came crashing down on top of him. He was being crushed under the large beast. He worried for only a moment about his own saftey and began to scratch with all his strength at the badgers belly. The badgers sweaty choking fur was begining to move away but suddenly came crashing back down on top of him. With his breathing slowly deminishing he yowl as loud as he could, "Goldheart bite the ears now!"

Goldheart quickly leapt from the badgers back to his ears and bit down as hard as she could. Instantly the badger reared back. She tried to hold on but she fell to the ground with the wind knocked out of her.

Finally able to breath he quickly dashed from where the badger had him pined. Seeing Goldheart lying on the ground he yowled fiercly, with blind rage that usually didn't affect him, he charged toward the badger that was still rearing. This time he was quiker when he jumped and sank his razor sharp teeth in to the badger. It let out a wild roar and tried to tear Ebonystar from its neck. It managed to claw of the fur along his flank and leave a large wound near hi neck, but nothing that would kill him. He bit down harder waiting for the badger to give up the fight first.

Goldheart watched her leader fight with all the strength of Starclan. She saw the badger slowly losing strength. She tried to stand and it took all her strength but she managed.

Ebonystar felt the badger losing it strength under his claws. It collapsed backward on o the ground. To make sure he had dispatched it he sat there for a few moments before he let go. He turned to see Goldheart barley managing to stand. His heart filled with pride as the young warrior had managed to survive her first badger attack with only the two of them fighting. He padded over to her and purred, "Great job Goldheart, if we didn't just have your warrior ceremony i would have had definantly made you a warroir twice over for this." he pushed his muzzle to the exhausted warriors flank with a deep sweet purr. "Come on now let get you back to camp." he lent Goldheart his shoulder for the trip home.
