The Four Clans Gazette---Issue 1
Welcome: Welcome to our newest clans members, Brightpaw (in ShadowClan), Twigpaw (in RiverClan), and Pantherpaw (in ThunderClan)! We wish you the best time here!
Congrats: Congratulations Duskheart and Scarclaw! They are our newest warriors, coming from ThunderClan and ShadowClan!

New Warriors Books? 
-The NEW Warriors book, "Outcast", adding on to the Power of Three, comes out on April 22nd, 2008. Everyone's eager for this one!
-Also, Warriors Return", part of the manga series, will come out on April 22nd 2008. This will complete the manga series!
-"The Rise of Scourge" will come outJune 24th, 2008.
-The Warrior Field Guide, "Cats of the Clans", will hit bookstores June 24th, 2008.
-I do not know when the fourth Power of Three is released, however, I did find out its title is "Eclipse".

Can't wait for these releases!

New Releases:
I'm sure many of you are aware that "Warriors Refuge" (part of the manga series) and Power of Three's "Dark River" hit bookstores Dec. 26th, 2008!

Contest:
Funny Cat/Dog Picture Contest!
What you need to do is take a picture of your cat or dog doing something funny: riding a skateboard, wearing a pirate costume. No spamming, flaming, copying, you can't enter more than once, and all that jazz. Have fun; please send your entries to me in PM by Feb. 3, 2008. Winners will appear in a future issue!

User Interview!
TFCG: Hello everybody! Today we will be interviewing Flamepelt on the Warriors book series. Flamepelt, how far are you in the series?

Flamepelt: I am nearly done with the Dark River. Then I will start Firestars Quest!

TFCG: Awesome. :D Who is your favorite character?

Flamepelt: Leafpool, because she is so awesome! Its hard to explain, really.

TFCG: Im sure it is. XD What do you think of the whole Cinderpaw/Cinderpelt situation?

Flamepelt: Not smart, the drama of losing a character is always sad but thats what makes a good story.

TFCG: I totally agree! Lastly, there have been rumors going around that one or all of Brambleclaw and Squirrelflights kits (Hollypaw, Jaypaw, and Lionpaw) are actually Leafpool and Crowfeathers kits. What do you have to say to that?

Flamepelt: I agree, she seems more motherly towards them than Squirrelflight!

TFCG:Definitely! Anyways, thanks for taking the time to be interviewed!

Flamepelt: Its fine! It was fun anyways!

What Do You Think?
For this What Do You Think? I asked many users on The Four Clans (TFC) what mate they think Bluestar would've had if she had never become leader. The mate can be out of clan, but Oakheart is not an option! Here were their thoughts:

Levistorm: Possibly Whitestorm or Fireheart. Odd, I know, but still.

Blizzardclaw: Ive got a random guess: Tigerstar!

Wetleaf: I think it wouldve been Whitestorm.

Twigpaw: I think it wouldve been Redtail.

Goldpaw: Ok I think it would be Tigerstar [claw].

Ravenstripe: Tigerclaw! Or Tigerstar, whichever you prefer.

A Forbidden Love- YellowxRagged

 Yellowpaw padded out of the camp, into the marshy forest.  Catmint, catmint, catmint, she repeated to herself in her mind.  She was out on her first solo herb hunting expedition, and she was determined to make her mentor, Pebbleheart, proud.  She slipped slowly through the bracken, taking care to sniff every inch of ground for the possible existence of the precious herb.        
    Suddenly, there was a step behind her.  She flicked her ears in the direction of the coming paws.  "Why hello, Yellowpaw," a soft, velvety voice purred.  The gray she-cat whipped her head around.  There stood the handsome tom, Raggedfur.  He had just recently become a warrior, and he had made a point to start bragging to the apprentices who were older than him, but not yet been made warriors.      
      Yellowpaw wasnt really in the mood to put up with his gloating.  "Hello, Raggedfur," she mumbled.  She continued on her search for catmint.      
      But the brown tom obviously wasnt going to give up that easy.  "Hey!" he yowled, a smile in his voice.  He glided toward her.  "So, whats a pretty little medicine cat apprentice doing out here all alone?" Yellowpaws heart just about melted at the smooth perfection of his voice.      
      She shook the thought from her mind.  "Im looking for catmint."        
    Raggedfur's eyes widened.  "Dont you use catmint for greencough?" Yellowpaw nodded.  "But who has it!?  Are they alright?  Whats wrong?"     
       Yellowpaw snickered at the brown tom.  "No one is sick, Raggedfur.  Dont get tail in a tangle!"  She flicked his ear with her tail.  "Pebbleheart just wants to see if I can find the herbs on my own."         
   He sighed with relief.  The yellow-eyed she-cat admired the toms concern for his clan.  Hes going to be a wonderful warrior.  Raggedfur accidentally brushed against Yellowpaws fur.  Her heart began to pound wildly, and she concentrated on placing one paw in front of the other.  They walked in silence for a few moments.  "So, do you want some help?" he offered.      
      "S-sure," she stammered.  She wasnt sure if he was just trying to show off what a wonderful warrior he was, being so selfless that he would waste precious energy on a tiny apprentice, or if he truly wanted to spend time with her.  They padded into the frost-covered forest, matching each paw step with each other.  
           "How can you possibly think that fighting is more fun than hunting?" Yellowpaw argued, struggling to keep the smile off her face.          
  Raggedfur stopped and stared at her.  "Youre joking, right?" his eyes wide and teasing.  "Battling is way better than hunting!  Theres more struggle; hunting is just too easy."  
          Yellowpaw rolled her eyes.  "Right.  With the way you stuff your face with fresh-kill every day, one would think youd want to always make sure theres enough for you, let alone the clan."  She cuffed the large tom over the ear.  They came to the ledge that led down to the ShadowClan camp.  Looking up at the horizon, the grey she-cat gasped.    
        "What?" Raggedfur asked, worry coated his perfect voice.        
    Yellowpaw shook her head.  "It's sunset."  She pointed to the horizon.  The sun was now just a sliver of light on the edge of the earth.  "I didnt realize we'd been out that long."  
          Raggedfur sighed, wrapping his tail around the small of her back.  "Yeah," he purred.  Yellowpaw felt his warm breath in her ear.  "We should do this again sometime."    
        She looked into his beautiful amber eyes.  As all cats knew, it was forbidden for medicine cats to take mates.  She knew very well that Raggedfurs intension for their relationship was much more than just friendship.  She battled with herself.  Looking into his eyes, she couldnt imagine what wrong she was committing being with him.       
    "Yes.  Yes, Id like that.  Well have to do this again, real soon."  His sweet smile stretched across his face.  And they padded down to the camp, side by side.

Who Am I?
1.   I am a pale tabby with dark stripes. I was considered to be a follower of Tigerstar until he was banished from ThunderClan, when I chose to stay loyal. I became blind later on and joined the elders. Who am I?
2.   You may expect me to be all kittypet, but I am proud of my brother for becoming leader of hos clan. Im also delighted that one of my kits, the little white one, got to experience clan life as well. Who am I?(Answers in spoiler below)
