   Lightwing woke from her nap, and yawned drowisliy. The days seem to pass by quicker than ever...
  "Lightwing!!"
  She covered her ears with her paws. "What, Stolenpaw?"
  The black tom popped up in front of her. "You promised to take me fight training!"
  "Ah, yes. It seems as if you're the mentor and I'm the forgetfull apprentice..."
  Stolenpaw rolled his eyes. "Not to mention, I'm the more responsible one."
  More responsible! This cat hardly knows how to rip off a mouse tail! I'll show him...
  "Suprise attack!" Lightwing quickly lundged her slender body onto the surpised tom's.
  "Hey!" Stolenpaw sqeaked. "This proves my point!"
  Lightwing brushed herself off with her paw, and nudged the black tom up. "Okay, okay! Now, let's get going."
                                                  * * *
  Wow!" Stolenpaw exclaimed. He was watching Lightwing fight off the deputy, Wildstorm. Lightwing swiftly jumped over the tom when he was running forward to plunge into her.
  "Your mentor may be lazy, but you can't deny she's got the fighting skills of a pro!" The silver tabby sitting next to him mewed, impressed. It was Riverpaw, Wildstorm's apprentice, who was training with Stolenpaw that day.
  Stolenpaw nodded, and continued observing Lightwing's spectacular moves. When ever Wildstorm lurched over to her, she'd dodge it, quick as lightning. She never seems to get tired. He thought.
  "Brilliant work, Lightwing!" Wildstorm panted, and sat next to Riverpaw. Lightwing, who was breathing steadily, padded toward Stolenpaw. She dipped her head to Wildstorm, and Glanced at the two apprentices. "That was a defensive move. Which clan would it work best on?"
  "Um, WindClan?" Riverpaw meowed.
  Lightwing shook her head. "RiverClan. WindClan are faster than us, and would be able to counter that move easily. RiverClan, on the other hand, are not as fast. Why is that, Stolenpaw?"
  "Because they are overfed, which slows them down."
  "Correct. Now, Stolenpaw, pretend Riverpaw is an attacking RiverClan warrior, and use the move I just demonstrated."
  Stolenpaw nodded, and prodded into the clearing. He waited for Riverpaw to ran toward him, and he jumped over her. When he landed, he steadied himself, and jumped onto Riverpaw, who had her back turned.
  Lightwing, followed by Wildstorm, dashed over to them. "Good job! Now, Stolenpaw, you need to work on keeping your balance. Whenever you are in need of jumping, always keep your tail straight up. That's what it's for, balancing. Let's try that again."

CHAPTER 2:

  Lightwing slumped down next to her mate, Icetalon. She dropped her plump mouse, and nibbled at it.
  "Tough day?" The glossy white warrior's blue eyes where filled with amusement.
  "Not really. Just that I hardly know what to do in life, now that Amberheart keeps on saying how slow Stolenpaw is learning compared to her sluggish apprentice."
  Icetalon sighed. "It's always competition with you two, isn't it?"
  Lightwing nibbled more. "Well, I'm just lucky she hasn't tried taking you away from me."
  "Lightwing! Icetalon! Come here!" The loud yowl of Darkclaw, Stolenpaw's father, echoed through the camp's clearing.
  "Let's go," Icetalon moewed, and dashed over to him, Lightwing by his side. She gasped in shock of what she saw. "Sp-Spearowstar!"
  "He's dead." Darkclaw murmured.
